Race 1 - NW 4 (F&M6) or $$45,000 (F&M $60,000) - **GTD $50,000 Pick 5**
(4) LIFETIME ROYALTY didn't fare badly for a horse that had been off for six weeks, now he comes back in six days and he should be tough in here. (5) JOHNNYS REVENGE compiled a great record in 2019 and he is worth a look shipping in and changing barns here. (6) CHARMBO GOLDEN was close to the hot Pikachu Hanover last time and that puts him in the mix here. (1) BOO THANG looks ready off his two local qualifiers, but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot.
Race 2- F&M CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000
(8) E R RHONDA is more suited to the big track and she stayed sharp racing at Flamboro when Mohawk Park was shut down after Christmas for a break. She can bounce back here. (5) RUSTYS FLYING chased the choice in vain last time and she could be in for more of the same here, but she is and Exacta factor. (2) LDL GEM can get a more aggressive steer with Henry in the bike here; consider for Tri and Super bets. This is a better spot for (1) HAMMERING HALEY and she too has a good shot to land in the Super.
Race 3 - NW $4,300 L5 or $8,600 L10
(4) WHAT A RUSH stayed sharp racing at Flamboro and that was a good effort. He can beat this group if he is close enough at the head of the lane. (5) SWAN BEFORE ALL has been facing tougher for a while and he should be right there with these. (9) HOCKEY HANOVER is another that fits well here, and the pace scenario favors his typical quick-leaving style. He could add some value to the early Pick 5. (2) GREAT MAGIC is great at compiling smaller shares and he should be in the Tri or Super when they hit the wire.
Race 4 - F&M NW $6,000 L5 or $16,600 L10 or NW $55,000 LT AE: NW $1,380 per start in 2019-2020 - **GTD $50,000 Pick 4**
(6) LADY ROCKNROLLA A didn't have much chance last time, mired on the inside the whole mile but she gets to drop now, and she should get a much more aggressive steer; top call. (3) PRETTY HOT is often contentious at this class level and she never gets bet. I'll use her in the early multi-race tickets. (1) WHISTYS PARADISE is best when she can stay covered up and save her big kick for the lane and she could get that trip here so I'll use her at what should be a square price. (8) WATCH MY LUCK could wake up in this spot having had a race over the track. There are worse bombs on this card you could take a flyer on.
Race 5 - F&M CLM $15,000 for NW $66,000 LT
(1) HIGHMOON SUNSHINE fits better in this conditioned claimer and she will be the one to hold off late here. (7) DREAMFAIR ZENFIRE was the easiest of winners at Flamboro and she is the main threat. I imagine she will attract a claim in this spot. (2) PATRICKS COOKIE is usually around the money when racing at this level and she can take a share. (4) OSEEMYLUCKY BO has been sharp for several weeks racing on the B tracks and she should be in the mix here for at least a share.
Race 6 - F&M NW $6,000 L5 or $16,600 L10 or NW $55,000 LT or NW $1,380/start in 2019-20- Late Pick 5
(5) TAJMEALLOVER had a decent comeback race here and she produced a nice kicker. She should get more aggressive now; top call. (10) CRANBERRY BRIE did well in the Niagara series, and she can get a good trip here starting from the second tier; using. (8) AKITA BAYAMA should get sent forward leaving the gate racing off the Laroque claim and she is another possibility for multi-race tickets. (2) THIS DRAGON ROCKS - with 16 slices in her last 37 races - is a good one to use underneath.
Race 7 - NW4 (F&M6) or $45,000 LT (F&M $60,000) - Pick 4
(6) HOLDIN ACES recent win at Flamboro was easier than it looks on paper as the driver never moved a muscle the entire mile. I'll side with him here hoping for a price. (8) ZIG ZAG is in top form and the one to beat here despite drawing widest. (5) NORTHERN ROYALE merits a long look getting Filion back to drive and she is on my multi-race tickets. (4) KNOPFLER takes frequent shares and he is worth a look for the bottom of the Tri or Super coming off a short break.
Race 8 - F&M NW $10,600 L5 or $23,500 L10 or NW $100,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $25,000
(6) THATS INCREDIBLE produced a big late kick last time that fell just short. I expect a more aggressive steer this time; top call. (3) SLY ELEANOR N was much better last week when she returned quicker, and she has been more aggressive since changing barns a couple of starts back; using. (5) SUNDAY AFTERNOON is always around at this level and she is versatile; consider for the exotics. (7) HIGH ROLLING A is sharp and another who is dangerous in a contentious dash.
Race 9 - FILLIES & MARES PREFERRED HANDICAP
(6) SO MUCH MORE rockets home every week and the short field should help her; slight nod. (7) KENDALL SEELSTER is the one the choice will likely be trying to chase down late, and I'll use both in the late multi-race tickets. (5) DOUBLE A MINT looks next best and she should get a piece of this. (4) SYLPH HANOVER steps into the top class despite missing more than a month which is likely a tall order; small share predicted.
Race 10 - F&M NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
(4) DONTBRUISECARRIE moves inside, gets Henry and she gets the nod in a wide-open race. (9) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE has missed some time but she gets McNair here in a suspect field so a speed blast off the gate wouldn't be a shock; price look. (3) TURBO DIVA has one of the best recent races so she is one that must be considered for the late Pick 4 and Pick 5. (1) ON THE MINUTE MARK can take a following trip and land in the Super or High-5 at a price. (2) MISS ROCKADALI brings good form from Ottawa and she is another who can take a small slice.
