Race 1: 2YO NW2 or $25,000 LT **GTD $100,000 Pick 5**

Tough race to kick off the early Pick 5 with so many in here racing in NW2 between sires stakes starts. I'll give a slight nod to (6) HIGHLAND MOWGLI who is overdue to break his maiden. (2) EMOTIONS RICHES is an obvious threat having just finished somewhat close to unbeaten Macho Martini while nabbing 2nd place in a Gold race; using. (7) MASTER GRAND came close in a similar race two starts back and he is in with an upset chance here. (1) FUZZY ANGEL has improving form and he should be able to take another share here.

Race 2: F&M 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT

(2) ZEPHYR SEELSTER was chalk in a similar race last time and after making front early she took the royal shuffle in a race that had an unusual amount of mid-race activity. She can beat these if she gets a better trip. (5) DOUBLE PLAY is $629K, 1:49 1/5 pacer Sports Column's 1/2-sister and she merits a look making her debut in a nondescript field. (7) TRIZZLE TRAZZLE qualified well enough for this to make her a contender. (1) SMILE BY THE BEACH got a brutal trip in the same race as the choice and she can make it into the Tri or Super here.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 2 YO COLTS & GELDINGS

(7) METALLICA's two best races came with Jamieson driving and he returns here; call to upset. (2) ADRENALINE RUSH is on a roll and he is the obvious one to knock off; using in the Pick 5. (9) LAST BET has improving form and an upset chance if he can work out a trip from out there. (10) BIG BANG BANG's effort two starts back stamps him as a contender but he is another who needs to find a good trip.

Race 4: NW $18,000 L5 or $31,000 L10 or NW $130,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $35,000 - Pick 4

(8) VILLEFRANCHE AS was game in defeat last week and her 27 2/5 kicker should play well in this field; top call. (4) COOL MUSCLE similarly could not get to a strong leader but he too was game and he has been sharp for many weeks. He is a multi-race must use for me. (9) PIKACHU HANOVER is another strong contender in a tough race but from out there I'll use him underneath. (10) ON THE ROPES rates well vs. these but post 10 may not be best for him; your call.

Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES - GRASSROOTS - 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS

(3) MUSTANG BEACH was involved in a wild first 1/2 at Sarnia and he was the only one that was around at the finish that had been close to those crazy opening fractions. He looks solid in here. (10) KYUQUOT obviously fits much better in Grassroots company and he should be right there vs. these if he can navigate a trip from the second tier. (7) ARMOR SEELSTER has had some issues at the gate recently but he is capable of better and he gets a driver change here; price look. (1) BEEF N CHEDDAR's form is improving and he should nab a share in here.

Race 6: NW $33,500 L5 or NW 8LT or $150,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $60,000 - Pick 5

If (6) SORELLA reproduces her Casual Breeze effort, her older rivals here are likely racing for second, but this is obviously a race she doesn't have to win, so I'll use a couple of others as well. (9) GRANDMA HEIDI is likely blasting despite drawing widest and she is very sharp; using. (1) MASS FORTUNE K goes for a barn that is winning with everything right now, so he's hard to toss. (3) MUSICAL RHYTHM is capable if he can work out a good trip, but I prefer to use him underneath here.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 2YO COLTS and GELDINGS

(2) CADILLAC BAYAMA's one Grassroots start resulted in an easy win and he gets top billing starting from the inside here. (8) YS DO IT RIGHT returns from Quebec in very sharp form and he should be a big threat here. (9) CANTSTOPLYING is an obvious threat but I'd need a price from post 9. (7) FIRST GLANCE was first to move in a 53 1/5 half at Hiawatha and he paid the price although he did still pass some horses late to nab 4th. He should be coming late here, too; using on the bottom.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 2YO COLTS and GELDINGS - Pick 4

(3) BRILLIANT CORNERS had a perfect tightener for this and he should be tough in here. (9) AVION SEELSTER has to be a threat here dropping out of Golds. If he clears early, this race could be over. (7) ALL CHEDDAR has a win and a second in Grassroots races and he can improve sharply here; using. I'm not sure what to do with (5) PROLINE after watching him run away and cut a 53 1/5 opening 1/2 at Hiawatha. I'm inclined to try to beat him.

Race 9: NW $13,600 L5 or $24,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000

(7) MEMO won at a higher class than this one six starts back and you have to think McNair is sending; top call. (5) B YOYO, the choice's stablemate, is also a threat on the drop and he is on my late multi-race tickets. (1) NOTHING BUT MUSCLE is sharp but still stuck with a goose egg in the 2020 win column. I'll use him underneath. (2) REFI has the look of another that is best used on the bottom in this spot.

Race 10: CLM HDCP $25,000 to $30,000

(8) CHOREOGRAPHER is razor-sharp right now and he will take beating in this field. (7) UF BETTORS HANOVER used to be a deep closer. He has a much better chance with his new style of blasting and looking to sit a trip. (6) LONE WOLF TERROR should get a better trip here and take a share. (9) JULERICA races tough every week and he is in off the fresh claim again but the 9-hole makes it tough. I'll play to beat him.

Race 11: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 2YO COLTS and GELDINGS

(5) SARATOGA BLUE CHIP is obviously one of the best ones in here and he should be tough to beat if he stays flat. (10) TAKE CONTROL broke his maiden in style, blowing by some winded leaders and driving away to a romp. He's in the mix here. (7) KODIAK SEELSTER is improving with each start and he should be in the Trip or Super tonight. (4) WHERESJIM can get position early and stick around for a slice. (6) SOUTHWIND BRONN is another who projects to sit a decent following trip and take a small slice.
