Race 1: 2YO colts and geldings NW2 or $25,500 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
Here is an interesting race to kick off the early Pick 5 with several sires stakes competitors racing between stakes races. Guessing some of them will get underdriven, I’ll take a price stab with returnee (2) TAKE OUT HANOVER, who gets sent out by a barn that couldn’t be any sharper with its two-year-olds right now. (7) SAUBLE WILSON is on a big roll, and he could find a covered trip and roll past for his fifth win in a row; using. (6) BLUE BAR is another sharp colt that will be right there if he gets put into the race and he is hard to leave off Pick 5 tickets. (8) SMILING DANCER comes off a sick scratch but he fired a 25 4/5 kicker to win his last start and he is another possibility here if he is sharp enough.

Race 2: F&M claiming $20,000 for NW $50,000 LT AE: N/A $1,650 P/S IN 2023-24
(2) ALWAYS A CATCH crushed at a similar level to tonight’s two starts back here and she stands out in this field. She will be a single for me tonight. (3) KANT KATCH KENZIE was 3rd to the choice in that race and she can be an Exacta factor in this field. (1) LOVE ON ME drops into a claimer but she could do no better than 5th in two starts here at this level in August. I’ll use her underneath. (6) AK BLACK BADGER is an interesting shipper, but she has missed a month. I see her closing late to take a share.

Race 3: 2YO colts and geldings NW1 or $8,000 LT
(2) IMA PAPI HANOVER was given absolutely no chance with the drive he got last week. He closed willingly to get a check now he draws better in a small field; upset special. (6) BOYD BAY gets to try a maiden conditioned field for the first time, and I think Roy will put him in action early in this mile. He is a threat to lead all the way and graduate. (7) TIME PASSER raced okay in the Grassroots last time and a similarly aggressive drive could get the job done this time; using. (4) IDEAL BEACHWHERE improved in her third qualifier, and he gets Macdonald. He can land on the ticket in this debut.
Race 4: 2YO NW1 or $8,000 LT - Pick 4
(9) CHICAGO HALL is surprisingly still winless but that should change tonight as he drops into a field of maidens. Macdonald will likely send him right down the road. (4) ENIGMA BOVINO just raced against a winner that came back to finish 4th in a Gold race. She can round out the Exacta here. (6) FORTUNES FAVOR is improving, and he should take another share tonight. (8) ROYAL MOON is another improving sort that can sneak into the bottom of the exotics.
Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES
(1) PICK ME UP HANOVER got a perfect tightener in for this Gold leg last week and she should be razor sharp tonight. She is the clear top choice here. (5) WINDSUN CHARLOTTE closed some ground in the back 1/2 on the choice and she draws better tonight. She is in with an upset chance, and she is the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets.
Race 6: 2YO fillies NW1 or $9,500 LT - Pick 5
(2) OUTTATHISWORLD DEO paced the best mile of her life last week, but the winner was just too good. She looks best vs. these, and she has a big shot to break her maiden tonight. (4) WHO ARE YOU is another that improved sharply last time and it was encouraging that she showed gate speed for the first time in a race with a purse. She should be the main threat to the choice. (3) FLUID tipped out on the choice’s cover around the last turn, but she couldn’t keep up to the top two. She can take another slice here in this second start. (5) SASSAFRAS finishes fast regularly. She could better this placing if she gets a good trip.
Race 7: NW $2,000 L3 AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000 AE: Starters for a purse of $9,000 or less L4 - Pick 4
This looks like a good spot for (2) LIKE CHAOS to drop and pop and I expect an aggressive steer from Richardson. Classy veteran (9) MISTER MAGIC missed a month between starts but it didn’t matter as he jogged anyway. He is always a threat at this level. (7) CHULO got a needed clean line, and he made a nice wide charge late. He is another in with a shot here and I could see Hensley giving him a more aggressive steer tonight. (4) ER NORMA raced decently in the Pop Up series and she figures to be part of the Tri or Super here.
Race 8: CLM HDCP $14,000 to $18,000
(7) LYONS KING gets another favorable pace scenario here and he has a good chance to run his win streak to three. (6) B STONEY goes to Lester and Roy jumps off the choice for him which makes me think he will be more aggressive tonight. Last week, he was on bad cover on the final turn and was circling up when the choice was getting the jump on him. This race could go either way depending on trips. (5) FROWNIES MIRACLE wasn’t far behind the top two racing off the Budd claim in a much-improved effort. He is worth using on late multi-race tickets. (4) HAPUNA BEACH is racing better recently, and he can take a slice. (3) BROOKDALE SEB can close for a small share in this spot.

Race 9: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $12,375 LT
(2) LANESIDE INCONTROL was carefully driven last week coming off a break in stride and she still almost won. She should control this race. (6) OH A LEGEND closed nicely behind the choice now she draws the best post. She will likely get more aggressive now and she is the main threat. (4) SPACE CADEBT comes off a maiden win and she is always closing it seems, but I prefer to use her underneath here. (3) BOOTS N BLING should improve off her debut. Consider her for the bottom of Tri and Super bets.
Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES
(1) TRICKY WICKY got in a good primer last week for this Grassroots tilt and she gets top billing vs. these. (4) LADY CAFE AU LAIT raced first up and finished ahead of the choice and she should be the main threat here; using. (3) WICKED CRAVING has been around the money in every start, and she should be in the exotics mix in this spot, too. (7) NIGHT DANCER is in good form, and she picks up the leading driver here with Jamieson opting for the choice. She has upset potential. (8) SIDE EFFECTS is improving every start it seems. She can get a check.
