(6) MADE OF MAGIC jogged vs. similar last week here and he should be hard to beat as the likely heavy chalk. (5) GRAND SPA raced better with Macdonald in the bike, but he was a victim of pace and the choice easily sprinted away from him. He is in with a shot here because J Mac may get more aggressive and put him in a better spot early. (8) TITAN FLAX S raced well here on Friday night, and he should be in the exotics mix right back. (3) STORMONT DIVIDE should be good for another small share in this spot.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS

(9) NZURI passed more than half a Gold field last time after dropping back to last and he should get more aggressive now dropping into Grassroots; top call. (3) STORMONT HAPPY DAY shows three good Grassroots starts and he fits well vs. these. He should be a threat tonight. (4) SID THE KID was a good 3rd to a colt that came right back to win a Gold race and he is another in with a shot here. (1) FABULOUS FREDDIE can close for a small share.

Race 3: 2YO colts and geldings NW1 or $5,000

(8) PREMIER FIRST STAR exits some tough maiden raced and he fits much better here. I could see Borth bossing this field. (6) CARRIBEAN SPORTS drops back into a maiden where he was narrowly beaten in 1:54 flat three starts back and he will likely be the main danger. (7) B SONNY was better last week, and he should close for another good share here. (5) EXACTLY MY TYPE too a slice in a Grassroots race but he was well beaten. I'll use him underneath here.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS - Pick 4

(3) SALEM SEELSTER is fastest in here, he just needs to stay flat; top call. (2) HILARIOUS ARCHIE is improving, and McClure chose him over others. He is in with a shot here. (6) GRENVILLE HEAVEN should enter contention dropping back into the Grassroots, but I prefer to use him underneath. (1) EIFFEL POWER rarely misses the top four. He's a good one to use on the bottom of the exotics.

Race 5: NW $2,200 L3 or $6,500 L10 AE: NW $13K in 2023 AE: OPT CLM $15,000

(4) THE LIONKING AS took a shuffle then angled to the far outside last week and he was closing willingly on the top two at the wire. I think Macdonald gets more aggressive with him tonight and he gets top billing. (10) UNBEATABLE KEMP beat better than these four starts back and he has the speed required to overcome post 10. If he clears, he might be gone; using. (8) MYSTIC is another that will probably leave for position, and he can be in the exotics mix vs. these. (9) GRATEFUL was close at this level three starts back in a good effort and he can land a share here.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS - Pick 5

(8) COPPEREAGLE is unbeaten on this track, and he won’t be favored here. I'll take a shot with him to beat the obvious favorite (3) WAYS N MEANS who has excelled when facing Grassroots colts. (9) BEAR NECESSITIES raced well here last week, and he can get position early then stick around for a share. (10) CHARMBO TITAN would be rated higher if he drew better. From out there, I'll use him on the bottom.

Race 7: CLM HDCP $25K to 6T$35K - Pick 4

(8) SIR A was good last week but he was simply too far back. This is the type that McNair might fire from the outside to get better position early and he gets the nod. (9) CHANGE STRIDE N paced a big first 1/2 then hung on decently considering that he missed close to a month between starts. He would be no surprise here. (2) FROWNIES MIRACLE was just behind the choice last week at the wire. He can close for another share here. (10) J M JACK OF HEARTS was ridiculously overbet racing off the claim last week and he had little to offer when pointed to the outside. He could sit back and close for a small slice this time.

Race 8: NW $14,250 L5 or $24,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $65,000 or NW $30,000 in 2022-23

(8) DEALIN WITH DEWEY drops off a decent effort and Macdonald chose him over a rival coming off a win. He has a big shot here and will likely look to control the pace. (1) PATRIARCH HANOVER was a clear 2nd to a mare that raced big last week, and he figures to be the main threat here. (2) OKEANOS has put together a big season and his consistency should be respected. He is in the mix every week. (9) WHITE TIGER is sharp, but this is a tougher spot; small share predicted.

Race 9: 5YO and younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO OPT CLM $50,000

This is a spot where Gold gelding (6) OH LOOK MAGIC can go right down the road and he should prove tough to catch if he gets sent. (3) BUSY MAKING MONI flew late last week, making a nice wide move and the short field should help him; using. (1) WARRAWEE XALT will likely look to trip out this time. I see him taking a share. (2) ROSIES WAR BONDS is another that will look to sit a trip near the front. She should be part of the Super.

Race 10: Winners of 4 (F&M5) but not more than 6 (F&M7) or $80,000 LT AE: Mares NW1 in 2023

(8) MRMAYOR HANOVER is in easier here and he is the one to beat. (3) MISCHEVIOUS ROSE is very consistent at this level and always heavily bet. She should be the main threat coming off a brief rest. (2) STABLE GENIUS beat the choice then missed a couple of weeks. I get mixed signals here, but he is obviously capable. (1) MIDNIGHT MIRACLE rarely misses the top four and she should sit a good trip here; using underneath. (6) WARRAWEE YANG had little chance in a Grand Circuit race last time. He can take a check tonight.
