Top Pick Stats: 492 - 1425 / $2,649.80 (-$200.20) Best Bets: 70 - 133 / $221.60 (-$44.40) Spot Plays: 32 - 130 / $290 (+$30.00) Best Bet: RHYTHM OF LIFE (2ND) Spot Play: MASS CARA  (7TH) Early Pick 5: 3,5,6/7/2,6,8/6,8/3,6 = $4.80 Late Pick 5: 3,4,5/1,6/1,3/6,7/2,3,8 = $14.40 Early Pick 4: 6,8/3,6/3,4,5/1,6 = $4.80 Late Pick 4: 1,6/1,3/6,7/2,3,8 = $4.80 Race 1: CLM HDCP $14,000 to $18,000 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (5) B STONEY races for high percentage trainer Smith off the claim and he will likely improve sharply tonight; top call in the opener. (3) HERESTHATMANAGAIN has been sharp for several weeks and he was flying late last week. He is a great fit at this level, and he is hard to leave off the early Pick 5. (6) LYONS KING got Roy in the bike last week and he converted. His versatility makes him a threat to repeat. (2) MACH IMPACT was better last week when he was raced more aggressively, and he can take another share here. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES (7) RHYTHM OF LIFE is on a big roll, and she figures to take another win here as a short, priced favorite. (5) HER CURRENCY was out of her league facing Drawn Impression last time and she adds Lasix here in a much better spot. She should go better, and she can be an Exacta factor. (1) FLIRTY DANCER is another that adds Lasix here and she should be part of the exotics. (4) SUE ANN will use her good gate speed to get position early and she can stick around for a slice. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: 2YO fillies NW1 or $8,000 LT (2) POINT BREEZE gets to face maidens for the first time here and she picks up the leading driver. She has a good chance to break his maiden in this spot. (8) TWIN B BODACIOUS raced okay at this level twice in a row before breaking stride in a Grassroots race. She could do in this spot if she stays flat; using. (6) OUTTATHISWORLD DEO was decent in her debut here in a Grassroots race on 8/17 and she is another that can be a threat if she stays flat. (7) SASSAFRAS should be good for another small share in this spot. Race 4: CLM HDCP $30,000 to $40,000 - Pick 4 (8) TREACHEROUS TOM should find this level easier, and he can be tough in here if he clears from the widest post; top call. (6) HP LIS SHADOW won as expected when claimed and he gets Macdonald now. He should be a big threat right back here. (4) LETS GET ROCKED raced well in two straight but he may get forced to race first up this time. I’ll use him underneath. (2) DR JOE can close for a small share in this spot. Race 5: NW $2,000 L3 AE: Starters for a purse of $9,000 or less L3 or OPT CLM $20,000 or NW $20,500 in 2024 (3) CHULO takes a big drop here and he should be tough vs. this group if he stays flat. (6) MISTER MAGIC has a stale date but at his age and the way he races every start that might not be a bad thing. He is the other one that I’ll use on my multi-race tickets. (2) GOLD EDITION has been blasting off the gate every week for a while and he will likely show speed and stick around for a share in this spot. (1) KAMERAN HANOVER, 0 for 18 this year, looks good here, but he likely closes too late and rounds out the Tri or Super. Race 6: 2YO fillies NW2 or $20,000 LT - Pick 5 (4) PICK ME UP HANOVER entered last week’s start in Gold company undefeated and Chantilly provided a rude awakening. The good news for this filly is she is back in a NW2 where she fits tonight, and she gets top billing. (5) TRICKY WICKY won four straight Grassroots races and she is an obvious fit here, but I wonder how aggressively she will get driven considering the stake semi-final and final are still to come. (3) ODDS ON FIAT MONEY raced well in three consecutive races and her early speed gives her a chance to trip out in this spot. She is another in with a chance. (6) LITTLE PAPI should improve here dropping out of a Grand Circuit race. She can be part of the exotics. Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES - Pick 4 (6) MASS CARA has two wins and two seconds in four Grassroots starts this year and she draws best tonight. She will likely offer some value for multi-race tickets in this spot. (1) VALENTINE BLUE CHIP is an obvious threat having finished 2nd in a Gold race two starts back. She is 5 for 5 in races that are not Grand Circuit or Golds and she’s hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (7) EXCITING MIA has a good late kick and is usually passing rivals in the final 1/4. She is worth using underneath here. (4) TEA LAKE is another that will probably be closing for a slice.   Race 8: 2YO fillies NW2 or $20,000 LT Pick 5 (1) MACAPELO SEELSTER jogged three starts back then did well to take shares twice against Chantilly. I think Borth blasts with her from the rail and leads all the way here. I think (3) SADDLEBAGS is better than she has shown in recent races. She will be closing late, and she could do here if there is any mid race battling for the front; using. (7) SIDE EFFECTS took a big leap forward for trainer Brethour last week and she should be in the exotics mix tonight. (5) DEE loses Borth here, but she fits well, and she can land in the Tri. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES (7) LOVE THOSE LEGS tried the Grand Circuit and he was beaten by less than six lengths. She fits much better in Grassroots company and she should be tough in here. (6) MASS MONEY, who had a win and a 2nd in her last two Grassroots starts is the main threat on paper and the other one that I’ll use on late multi-race tickets. (3) ITDONTMATTERTOME raced well to win two straight at Grand River but I’m not sure she beat much in those races. I’ll use her underneath here. (1) P L RACHEL is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics adding Lasix tonight. Race 10: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $8,500 LT AE: 3YO and 4YO N/A $1,210 P/S L10 (3) LANESIDE INCONTROL faces tougher here, but the way she won her first two starts suggests she will be up to it. She attracts the leading driver, too. (2) OH A LEGEND was motoring late last week but the winner was just too good. She figures to be the main threat to the choice tonight. (8) DONTMESSWITHMOLLY was first up against a winner that was unyielding last week, and she is another in with a shot here that could add some value to late multi-race tickets. (5) KANT KATCH KENZIE takes frequent shares, and she comes off a good closing effort. She is a good one to use underneath. (1) ALLCHEEKIESOFF should close for a small share in this spot.
