(2) SWEET DETERMINATION gets a connections switch looking to find two year old form where she made $174,000. Did show speed on 6/13 when flat. (4) PRETTY SPECIAL is similar in that she has gait woes and she's been in Golds. Qualifier was solid with 28 1/5 kick. (5) MASSIAH was bet to 2-1 on 7/18 and didn't disappoint. Last on class rise was ok. (1) MUSICAL RIDE has shown speed in the past but has missed several weeks. Can he get to the front from this post?

Race 2: 2 YO Fillies: NW 1 Race or $7500 Lifetime
(9) PREMIER HEIRESS debuted well from inside draw and kicked 26 4/5 late while favored. Should improve second up but needs to overcome draw. (7) PRETTY MISSY MAY showed speed 8/1 and carried it a long way. That was her best race so far for the top barn and Roy sticks. (3) MILLIES SPIRIT has lots of experience and checks in every start. She gets away well and maintains position. (4) TWIN B ROULETTE is an Alagna shipper with two NJ Qualifiers on the sheet. Could need a race but barn sends them ready.

Race 3: 5 YO and Younger NW 1 Race or $7500 life
(4) THE SERPENT was bet on 8/1 after decent try 7/18 vs chalky winner. Tried the front in that spot but only managed third. Post edge here over (7) MUFFERAW JOE who kicked 26 3/5 to roll by late for second. I think he's the favorite now off that line but has had plenty of chances. (6) SEASIDE CAESER has checks out of town and didn't disgrace vs these 8/1. I can see a similar rally late. (2) PEETIE was bet to 5-1 first out but never made an impression. If he needed the race, could rebound against same foes.
Race 4: 2 YO Colts and Geldings: NW 1 Race or $7500 Lifetime - Pick 4
(6) CALICOJACK HANOVER debuted a winner for Blais on 7/21 leaving early then rallying. Sickness stopped series try, if he's well should be tough again. (7) FRAZIER HANOVER is a Darling firster coming off a blowout qualifier. Barb sends them ready but this is a tough spot vs choice. (2) UNRIVALED HANOVER is third up for Steacy after improved close at Kawartha. Third pilot in as many starts needs to work a trip. (5) ASTARWASBORN has two solid tries vs Grassroots foes so far. That 26 4/5 kick on debut sticks out.
Race 5: 2 YO Fillies: NW 1 Race or $7500 Lifetime
(6) COCO JO JO looks a short price after improving Gold lines with fast kicks. Another stake race in her future so beware that in overnight spot. (5) KISS MY CHEEK was much better second out with a well-timed move 8/1 winning in a romp. Barn is sharp with young ones. (1) MAKE OUT WITH ME has been far back early but firing late in miles. Despite mistake in latest only beaten a length. If she behaves and is closer early can win here. (9) ONE MORE BET kicked 26 4/5 in latest for best race so far. I think she rolls late again to fill exotics.
Race 6: 2 YO Colts and Geldings: NW 1 Race or $7500 Lifetime - Pick 5
(3) BRUDON has faced tough foes in Golds in first two starts for Budd then took action on 7/28. Draws better, should be closer early now and be a fair price. (5) NIJINSKY comes out of a fast race on 7/21. He has kicked in all three starts but lacks a win. (7) MOSES was bet on debut after a solid qualifier at Philly. He passed horses there and now gets the big track. (1) WICKED PRINCE raced well here on 7/14 then has been drawn wide. Price look in a wide open race.
Race 7: 5 YO and Younger NW 1 Race or $7000 life - Pick 4
(1) FRENCHY HANOVER showed speed in last, finds herself in a race that seems to lack it. Needs more late. (7) ETERNALLY HANOVER was even-money at Georgian on 7/30 but had a brutal journey. Clean trip preferred looking to build on 7/23 qualifier. (9) MADE OF MAGIC is knocking on the door in past four. Ship here in latest was near miss at 9-1. (8) SAYONARA ANGEL will look to get another check at huge odds with 66th start at this level.
Race 8: 2 YO Colts and Geldings GRASSROOTS Starters 2023
(9) WHY WOULDNT YA was a well-meant winner 7/14 after being roughed up on debut 7/4. Troubled Gold line is a toss, this is a better spot. (4) YOUR PARTY has two straight on the front. Another new pilot needs to motivate early and late. (5) SPORTS ACTIVATOR is another with two straight wins. Hasn’t been the favorite yet but could take $ here. Likely off the pace again. (2) LARRY LIGHTSPEED chased that one in last at big odds and held well. I like that line for barn that improves horses as they move through the season.

Race 9: 5 YO and Younger NW 2 Races or $20,000 life AE: Grassroots starters
(5) WEDDING DANCER has faced better than these in last two and held her own. Consistent type gets new pilot and a race that lacks pace. (6) NORTHERN CHARLOTTE has four straight vs grassroots types. Will new pilot be aggressive here? (4) NORTHERN DEMI has Gold lines, gets a better post here after needing last. 6/22 line plays well. (2) SOUTHWIND CHARDNAY is hit and miss at times. Last two were poor trips. 7/3 line shows sharp speed.
Race 10: Winners of 4 but NM than 6 Races or $80000 Life AE: 4 & 5 YO Claiming $60,000 Trot AE: NW of a Race in 2023
(7) FLEURIE gets another new pilot and gets away from a sharp winner in latest. I think she needs speed to chase and cover to follow. (1) STABLE GENIUS had a ridiculous trip on 7/24 so toss that line. Prior two at this level play very well. (2) LINDYS IRISHCREAM added lasix for return and just missed. I think she takes $ here but is a three year old filly vs older males. (8) BELLA CAVALLA tripped out 7/24 at this level then made up ground 8/1 when too far back. (9) WARRAWEE XALT was better in last adding hopples back. He is capable of upsetting off best.
