(3) PIERRE IN PARIS won his debut well then busted before the gate in a Gold. JMac lands here looking to keep him flat. (1) FLEETWOOD MAC was Mcclure’s choice here. Has two 28 1/5 kicks in two starts but must deal with the rail. (7) D A ALEXANDER made a move in the third quarter in latest but tired. Short field helps his chances. (2) MACTHNIGHT has six starts already and some eventful trips. Needs to figure it out to grab a share.

(3) BRIGHT GREEN closed in Stake on 7/27 to be third from a tough spot. Looms large if she can get away closer. (1) CORE RESOLVE will take action off well driven win 7/30. Speed in last will help gain position again. (7) ANGELIC took money first out for sharp barn and was an ok 4th. New pilot could be more aggressive here. (2) LILY LACE is a first timer for top trotting connections with an easy qualifier.

(4) SUNSATIONAL tried the ‘Battle but was stuck with an outside post. Speed in prior starts here would play well. (7) SHINING MOMENT missed an inch at a big price on debut 7/30. Price will disappear now. (3) ZANDER has had trips in three starts. He’s finishing miles so far and must be used in multis. (8) D A SUPER GLO is third up for barn that excels with two year olds. Needs improvement to contend.

(9) IVY LYNN just won a grassroots from the nine post with widening speed. She will be chalk again. (8) WELLS FARGO was another grassroots winner with sharp kick. Needs to follow nine out of the gate. (7) SEAMSTRESS was JMacs choice here going first out for 0.388 barn. Don’t sell short. (2) EARTHA K is solid so far grabbing checks at this level.

Race 6: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $9,000 - Pick 5

(3) BIG MACH N was claimed by top claiming barn after being involved in a wicked pace in last. He’s speedy and tough when right. (1) CAPT JACK HANOVER returns after tiring at Georgian. Every other pattern indicates an “on” week. (5) TRIDENT SEELSTER is the other C McQueen starter who is consistently in the money at this level. (6) SUNSHINE LOVE has been kicking late in fast races. Use in multis at a price.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 3. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES - Pick 4

(8) RICH GIRL has been knocking on the door for Pentland vs these types. Speed will be coming again here. (1) CHEEKY LASS broke while moving in latest. She won first out at big odds. (7) D A DREAM GIRL improved second out in a Prospect race. She could show speed again. (6) MARIE H has tried Gold races twice. This should be a better class.

Race 8: NW $2,250 LAST 3 STARTS. AE: NW $16,250 IN 2024

(2) LINDYS IRISHCREAM is racing even and getting checks. Was favored vs better in last. (4) SHES BEER LEAGUE is double entered with a quick turn around. Take note of Friday’s line before wagering. (5) KATKIN MORGAN was a speedy winner 7/29 at Grand River to break losing streak. Ship here shows confidence. (8) O NARUTAC PERFETTO has nine wins as a 13 year old. What a warrior old class type that fits at this level.

Race 9: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME

(6) HIDE THE WICK has a better kick than most of these and has been unlucky so far not to have a win. (4) STRONGMAN HANOVER has a 26 2/5 kick on the page but it was only for fourth. Lack of early speed hurts chances. (1) ITS ONLY A GAME lost at 1:9 at Grand River 7/26. He gets the big track now looking to rebound. (8) SCRATCHIN AN ITCH has had wide posts in last three. He’s had speed vs tougher foes.

Race 10: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME

(8) MYSTIC MOMENT tried ‘Belles 7/29 but drew wide. Has speed and talent should benefit from this drop. (2) CATCH MY PASSION gets a driver switch after a speed try out of town in a grassroots spot. (3) LADY CAFE AU LAIT has been facing Stakes foes and racing even. Back to NW1 looking for improvement and to be closer early. (9) WHO ARE YOU grabbed a check on debut for a barn that specializes in developing horses over time. Interesting price horse to fill exotics. (7) ALWAYS DAWN debuted well at big odds. New pilot isn’t shy about sending horses away from the car.
