He could wake up on the drop tonight; slight nod. (9) NEW RULES raced much better when he dropped from Golds into Grassroots and he is likely the one to beat here. $75,000 Harrisburg buy (8) ZIP ME UP is a 1/2 to millionaire Caprice Hill and he hinted at having some talent by the way he finished his second qualifier. He is in with a chance on debut. (4) STORMONT CALCULUS showed enough in his second qualifier to make him a contender and he is another possibility for the Pick 5.

Race 2: Ontario Sired 2YO Fillies Grassroots starters

(3) PA DELIGHT was one-paced in her debut but McNair sticks with her over (5) BALA who was a winner last week. Slight nod to the former but using both in the Pick 5. (7) ONE LAST WISH fits better here after trying the Battle of the Belles eliminations and she is another in with a shot. (8) SPLASH OF PINK fires sub-28 kickers every week start. She can come on late and land in the exotics.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Third Leg 2YO Colts and Geldings

(8) NOTHINGBUTADREAMER made a miscue reacting to a breaker that was on the lead in front of him and he recovered and got the job done. With regular driver Macdonald out injured, McNair takes over and this colt gets the call to repeat. (6) RESOLVE TO WIN improved sharply to win well in his second start and he is the other obvious contender here. (4) LAVA FIELD improved with the drop from Golds and he should be in the exotics mix again. (2) UNCLE MORRIS has done nothing wrong leading to this debut race and he isn't without a chance.

Race 4: Ontario sired colts and geldings NW $10,000 LT - Pick 4

(3) P L QUICKSAND paced a 26 4/5 third 1/4 in his debut which indicates that he has some speed and talent. I'll call him to upset here in a spot where he could offer a huge price. (9) TIGNANELLO tried Golds and he found the waters too deep. Back with his friends tonight, he should be one of the main contenders. (7) COLD CREEK GUERERO looked good winning his debut at Georgian Downs when facing easier. He is in with a shot tonight. $43,000 London Selected sale buy (5) WATCHMAKER debuts for Doc Moore and he should be in the exotics mix.

Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Third Leg 2YO Colts and Geldings

(8) HASTY BID impressed in both starts and although he loses his regular driver tonight, he gets the call to repeat with Roy in the bike. (5) CRUISING TOM figures to improve tonight dropping out of Gold races and he should get a more aggressive steer. I'll use him on multi-race tickets. (3) DARBYSHIRE, one of many good young trotters trainer Bax has sent out this summer, comes in undefeated and he is hard to toss especially considering how hot the barn has been. (1) FLOYD THE FREAK has done nothing wrong to this point but I prefer to use him underneath tonight.

Race 6: Ontario sired 2YO fillies Grassroots starters - Pick 5

(3) CARLA CAM has been very good in all of her starts and the filly that beat her last time will likely end up in the Golds at some point. She gets the nod vs. this field. (6) FAVORITE BEACH wasn't disgraced when facing Gold rivals. She rates highly back in with Grassrooters here and she draws best using. (8) CHEESE SO PRETTY improved sharply at long odds last time and she is in with a shot tonight despite drawing wide. (4) BETTORS PUNCH predictably improved when she drew better for her second start and she is in the exotics mix again.

Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Third Leg 2YO Colts and Geldings - Pick 4

(7) ALL STAR YANKEE trotted a nice back 1/2 without threatening the leaders in one of the Millard Farms divisions last week and he can beat these if he stays flat. (6) BUSTING WITH PRIDE is another that trotted a good back 1/2 last time and he will likely get more aggressive here in this third start; using. (9) LIKE CHAOS was first up as the pace accelerated last time. He can get position early here and land in the exotics at a price. (3) STONEBRIDGE JASPER got a needed clean line and got a share. He should battle for another minor award here.

Race 8: Ontario sired colts and geldings NW $10,000 LT

(5) THONG CONTROL was unleashed at Georgian Downs after getting two bad trips in a row and he was an easy winner. He can another win here. (3) BIG DREAM FELLA tried the Battle of Waterloo eliminations where he was overmatched. Back where he fits best, he should be the main danger here. (4) BEDDANBURG was flying late last week and he has upset potential tonight. $23,000 London selected sale buy (6) NULLI SECONDUS is another possibility in here and the tote should tell you if she is live.

Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Third Leg 2YO Colts and Geldings

(3) FOX VALLEY ONTARIO was patiently driven in debut and he finished well to get 2nd to a shar winner. He looks best here. (1) TIMONIER was unbeaten until he jumped it off last time. I don't love the rail post for him but he is capable if he stays flat. (5) TAKE ON ME should be pointed forward leaving the gate again. He is in the exotics mix. (4) AIRBORNE was the first leader last time and he got shuffled back then finished evenly. He has upset potential in here.

Race 10: 3YO Fillies Grassroots starters NW $35,000 in 2022

(10) SAINT ANTONE may have squandered a win last time when he got bumpy gaited coming out of the last turn and broke. He should offer a big price in here and I'll take a shot with him in a field with no standout. (5) CALM COOL COLLECTD was confidently driven to victory last week after being hemmed in down the lane in the previous start. He has some upside and he could double up here. (2) CLASSIC MAGIC beat similar last week unleashing a furious late rally and he isn't out of this. (3) SOCKS N CROCS figures to sit a trip and take another small share. (4) MONEYWORTH was 2nd vs. older trotters and he can close for a slice tonight.
