Race 1: 2YO fillies NW1 or $8,000 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
$65,000 Harrisburg sale buy (3) TWIN B BODACIOUS lands in a good spot to debut, and she showed enough in her lone qualifier. Menary sends them ready, and she gets top billing. (4) PLEASANTLY PINK was a $120,000 Lexington purchase whose 1/2 sister won 6 of 12 starts. She hasn’t been asked for much in morning qualifiers, but she finished well in both. She goes for another barn that wins early; using. (2) AMAZING WISH is the lone winner in the field, and she went way too fast in the opening 1/2 of her second start. She is an obvious speed threat, but she will have to deal with the longer stretch here. (5) TWIN B FLAME will likely sit back and pass a few of these to take a share.

Race 2: NW $4,875 L5 AE: OPT CLM $25,000 AE: Starters for a purse of $9,000 or less L5
(5) MISTER MAGIC chased classy Southwind Coors last week and trying to stay with him is a tall order. He has a much better shot here; top call. (3) SPARTAN GENERAL got a clean line and closed quickly last start. He will get there one of these weeks and he fits well here; using. (6) MUSCLE FASHION has hit his best stride now and he can take a share racing close to the front throughout. (7) STORM TROTTER just beat a decent field and he is in the exotics mix again.

Race 3: 2YO NW1 (F&M2) or $8,000 LT
(1) BRIGHT GREEN kicks in the 28-flat range every start and she has a decent chance to work out the winning trip starting from the rail tonight. (6) WEARING THE GREEN steps down from the Gold level where he raced well, and he should be the one to fend off late. (2) SISTER SARA adds Lasix after getting picked off despite being allowed to set the opening 1/2 in 1:00. She will be a threat racing from close up, but I prefer to use her underneath tonight. (4) THAT DUDE improved in his second qualifier, and he is worth a look for the Tri and Super.
Race 4: 2YO colts and geldings NW1 or $8,000 LT - Pick 4
(3) THE MAGIC MOMENT was a good 3rd on debut at Grand River then jogged in Quebec. He moves into Pentland’s barn now and he gets a slight nod as I go price shopping in a race with no standout. $22,000 Lexington buy (2) SILKY CHOICE, a 1/2 to 1:48 3/5 pacer PJ Lou, showed enough speed in his lone qualifier to make him a contender here; using. (4) APACHE CREEK flashed speed both early and late in the mile on 8/1 and he is a speed threat here; using. (7) JOEL AND THE JETS was helped by the leader breaking on the final turn last time and he had a clear shot at the top two in the lane but lost ground. He has paced the fastest mile of any of these but I’m not sure he offers any value.
Race 5: 2YO fillies NW1 or $8,000 LT
Trainer Etsell unveils (6) LILY LACE here, a $50K Lexington buy that is a 1/2 to Dabra Day, who won a leg of the Pure Ivory in her second start. This filly flew late in her second qualifier, and she can get the job done on debut if she is in striking range at the 3/4 pole. (3) STOVID drops out of Golds, and she came close to beating maidens starting from the 10-hole in her debut. She figures to improve sharply in this spot, and she should be a threat. (8) WELLS FARGO, the only winner in the field, should get a good trip racing on or near the lead and he figures to be a contender here exiting Grassroots races; using. (4) ANGELIC improved in her second start, and she can show speed and stick around for a share.
Race 6: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: PROSPECT SERIES STARTERS IN 2024 - Pick 5
(9) STELLRMANIPULATION was asked for nothing until midstretch on 7/28 and she really took off at that point and got up for the maiden win. She can repeat here if she doesn’t get too far back from post 9. (8) CENTURY LUNAR comes off an impressive first-over score and she should be the one to beat here facing similar. (1) GURL SWAG will use her good gate speed to get position and she can stick around for a share. (4) CENTURY LIBERTY showed something for the first time in her last start and she can ride that improvement to a top-4 finish here.
Race 7: Winners of 3 (F&M4) but not more than 5 (F&M6) or $80,000 LT - Pick 4
(9) COLD SNAPS gets off the rail and gets Jamieson back in the bike and she will be the one to fend off here. (5) MASS HYSTERIA had no shot trying to close into a 27 1/5 kicker as classy Southwind Coors was blowing the doors open. She is worth a price look for multi-race tickets. (6) FLIGHT LANDING took a short rest and qualified and finishing 2nd in 1:54 1/5 to Willys Home Run should have him primed for a good effort here. He adds Lasix here, too. (8) BBC SPORTSBOY will likely show speed again and stick around for a slice.
Race 8: Fillies and mares claiming $20,000 for NW $30,000 LT
This is a better spot for (7) ALWAYS A CATCH and I think Macdonald sends her vs. this group; top call. (4) LOVE ON ME comes in off two solid efforts at Grand River and she picks up Cullen. She should be a threat in this spot. (1) IWISHIHADAME caught fire at Hiawatha Horse Park, but this is a tougher spot. I’ll use her underneath. (2) NO MONEY HONEY should pass some of these late. She is a good one to use on the bottom.

Race 9: Starters for a purse of $9,000 or less in 1 of L3 AE: N/A $1,405 P/S IN 2023-24
(5) HEAVENSDOR HANOVER hasn’t hit the board in seven starts this year, but he likely won’t find an easier spot than this. Henry will likely send him right down the road. (7) SWAN DIEGO is also in easier, and I can see him getting a good trip racing close to the front. He is the other one that I’ll use on late multi-race tickets. (2) EXPLOSIVE MOTION brings good form in from Georgian, but he will likely find one or both of the top picks too tough here; using underneath. (1) KATKIN MORGAN can sit another following trip and land in the bottom of the Tri or Super.
Race 10: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: PROSPECT SERIES STARTERS IN 2024
(2) TRICKY MCWICKY appears to have landed in a spot where he will get the setup he craves, and he could provide some value to late multi-race tickets. (7) LAMBORGHINI LOU shoots for the threepeat but I have mixed feelings here. He will get bet off the board on the driver change to Macdonald and he could get stung by the other leavers. He’s hard to toss but impossible for me to love as a win bet. (6) ONYX BOVINO is in top form, but he faces tougher here shipping in from Grand River. I’ll use him underneath. (4) JMR SPEAK AWAY has come on in his past three starts and he has nine shares in 20 starts so far this season. He is in the exotics mix. (3) VOGUE BLUE CHIP was first up against Lamborghini Lou last time. He likely sits in this time and takes a check.
