Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO COLTS and GELDINGS **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5**

(7) URNTROUBLE HANOVER showed some late interest in a fast race with Roy in the bike for the first time last week and he retains that catch driver. I'll give him the nod in a race with no standouts. (4) WALKONTHEMOON was first up last week and that isn't his trip. Expect a more aggressive steer this time; using. (5) DIEHARD SEELSTER put trotting hopples on when he re-qualified after breaking and his qualifier went well. He has already shown that he is fast enough to win this and he's hard to leave off Pick 5 tickets. (2) DEWY DEO should go much better here starting from the inside and he is another that merits a look for the Pick 5 in a race with many options.

Race 2: WHENUWISHUPONASTAR FINAL 2YO Fillies

(3) BALANCE raced well from the 9-hole on debut and qualified for this final. The sense of urgency increases now and I see her winning this with a middle move facilitated by leading driver Macdonald. (4) I LOVE ONGAIT made two moves and held the choice at bay by pacing a 26 3/5 kicker. She should be the main threat. (7) ONE LAST BET was resilient on the lead but that was the easier division. She is likely going to have her hands full with the two choices tonight. (2) FLO is right there every race and she did have broken equipment last time but she is another that I see as a notch below the top two choices.

Race 3: 2YO Fillies NW1 or $10,000 LT

(5) LOVIN JULIE was stakes-placed in a Gold event in her debut then broke in her next start. She needs a clean line now, but she can beat these if she trots the whole way. (10) GYRE HANOVER is one-for-one for top connections and she qualified okay for this. She can contend despite drawing wide. (6) LILYS LASS fits better here after flashing speed in Gold company. She is another live possibility. (9) FAIRY DUST goes for a top barn and she is worth a look for the Super here on debut.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Colts and Geldings - Pick 4

(6) SWEET SOUL DAVID was a good second to a sharp winner of the Dream of Glory and I'll give him top billing here over another sharp colt (8) FOUR WHEELIN. The latter comes off a game win here vs. similar. (4) HARRY took a lot of action last week and he didn’t get a good trip. Moving off the rail should help him here but I prefer to use him underneath. (1) GQ MAGIC can take a small share off a following trip if he stays flat tonight.

Race 5: CLM HDCP $22,000 to $30,000

There are two razor-sharp horses lined up on the outside of the gate that should fight it out for this win. (9) MACH IMPACT raced huge when claimed by Fine who has clicked with 47% (3 for 7) of fresh claims. I'll give him the nod over red-hot (8) JULERICA who goes for the Fellows stable. That barn has clicked with 2 of 5 fresh claims (40%). (5) SEA LAIRD is right there every week and if the two favorites hook up in a duel at any point that helps his chances. (2) COOL ROCK is always closing and he is another that keeps getting claimed and keeps producing but I prefer to use him underneath tonight.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Colts and Geldings - Pick 5

(8) MUSCLE JACK is a double Grassroots winner this year already and he is in a good spot to get back on track here; top call. (2) MYSTIC has come back good as a sophomore and he figures to be the main threat to the choice. (4) EMERALD WINGS is still a maiden but he has enough speed to land a share in here. (1) AWORLDLY GOODTIMES should get a better start here and he can take a small slice vs. these.

Race 7: 2YO NW1 or $10,000 LT

(7) ST LADS STERLING had a nice debut race and the barn has been hot recently. I'll give him the nod in a wide-open race. (10) SIBERIAN STORM, a $27,000 Harrisburg buy, is related to a couple of productive racehorses and he goes for connections that excel with rookies; using. (2) CASSINI is another who had a good debut race and he should be one of the main contenders here leaving from a good post. (3) DONT POKE THE BEAR will likely improve off his lone qualifier. Give him a look for the bottom of the Super.

Race 8: 2YO NW1 or $10,000 LT - Pick 4

(6) A ROYAL HIT qualified well for this and he gets Zeron in the bike this time. I expect an aggressive try and he gets the nod. (7) CACIO E PEPE is better than he showed in the Golds last time and he can improve sharply back in with maidens here. (9) CENTURY ISAIAH is in great form and he fits well here. He is a good price option for multi-race tickets. I'd like (8) BAR BRAWL a lot more if he got a driver change. As it is, Toscani will likely send him as hard as he can and hope to keep on truckin'. His 0 for 33 record at the meet is hard to get past.

Race 9: Ont. Sired 2YO Fillies NW1 or $7,000 LT

(2) POWER OF AN ANGEL raced big from the 10-hole when narrowly beaten by a good filly last week and she gets top billing here. (1) SPEAKER NANCY drops out of Golds and moves into Doc Moore's barn. She should be a big threat tonight. (9) UNITY is a homebred 1/2-sister to winners of 12 and 15 races and she could drop substantial time in this debut. Tab the tote for clues with this one. (7) WATCH HER DANCE should improve getting in with maidens but a small share is likely her ceiling.

Race 10: PREFERRED

(7) RUN DIRECTOR is perfect in 2021 and he gets a slight nod here to take another in a race with several sharp contenders. (2) ONLY FOR JUSTICE couldn't get past the choice last time as that rival just had too much in reserve after getting a third 1/4 breather. He could turn the tables here. (4) ONEY HALL held it together last week vs. lesser and no one in there was touching him in the lane. He is capable, but risky. (5) COMBS HANOVER will be passing rivals again and he could better this placing if the late pace collapses.

Race 11: CLAIMING HANDICAP $13,000 to $18,000

(10) STATE OF PLAY comes off another game win and him drawing post 10 should keep his price viable. I'll stick with him. (6) MAINTENANCE MAN took a new life’s mark when claimed and he goes for a high percentage barn. He is the one to catch. (1) JIMMY BE GOOD raced only evenly chasing Maintenance Man and he can take another share here. (3) ALWAYS N THE MONEY has improving form. I see him completing the Tri or Super. (4) STELIOS will show speed again and I see him sticking around for a share.
