Race 1: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(2) MCPLEASANT was bet like he couldn’t lose last week, and he delivered a very strong effort but was victim of trip and pace to lose by a head. I think he goes down the road as a big chalk to kick off the early Pick 5. (1) ROCKET FREIGHT was less than four lengths behind the choice after starting from post 10 in that race. He looks good to complete the Exacta tonight. (7) GANSBAAI fired a 26-flat kicker in that same race, and he can be part of the exotics here. (4) GANDALF THE BAY will likely work out another following trip and land a small share.
Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 1. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES
Homebred Bettors Delight colt (7) HIGHLAND DELIGHT finished fast in both qualifiers, and she should offer a decent price on debut; top call. (1) CHANTILLY is a Millar Farms homebred that looks ready to fly based on the way she won her lone qualifier. The leading driver will put her in play, and she is hard to leave out. (4) BANNER DAY has some experience, chasing home a big chalk in her debut. She can get a piece of this. (6) WINDSUN CHARLOTTE had a start for veteran trainer Brethour, and improvement is likely here; using underneath.
Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS
(9) MANFORCE has two starts and in both of them he was stuck first up trying to chase the leader down in sub-28 final 1/4s. I can see him controlling this Gold race and he gets top billing. (2) FIRST CLASS RULE is related to several winners including $234K earner Delgado (9 wins, 1:53 3/5 S.). Bax sends them ready, and he could fire a big one here on debut; using. (7) CAPTAIN SUZUKI had a useful debut when beaten by a good looking colt. He is in the mix. (3) THE HITMAN HEART is another who had a decent debut that figures for the exotics.
Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 1. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES - Pick 4
(8) LADY GAMBLER is related to several fast racehorses (Enavant, Greatest Ending, Great Somewhere) and she lands in a good spot for this debut. I’ll take a shot with her despite the wide draw and stale qualifier date. (5) SARA B DELIGHT is a homebred full sister to Voelz Delight (12 wins, $695K, 1:49 3/5 S.) who likely will improve off her qualifiers. I’ll use her in early multi-race tickets. (2) BUILDMEUPBUTTERCUP is sent out by a barn that wins early and with the late speed she showed in her qualifiers she is another possibility for Pick 4 and Pick 5 tickets. I wonder if she will get over bet though. (6) FORREST LEAH, a full sister to Betalady (14 wins, $334K, 1:50 3/5) will need to drop time from her winning debut but she can share here.
Race 5: NW $2,000 L3 AE: OPT CLM $20,000
(7) MISTER MAGIC races off the Moreau claim and gets Macdonald in the bike and her fits the $20K optional claimer like a glove; top call. (8) OKEANOS was bet like he couldn’t lose last week coming off a lame scratch and a break and he delivered. He can repeat if he stays flat; using. (4) EPIC DREAMER won at this level two starts back and she will be in the mix if she behaves tonight. (5) SWAN DIEGO closed nicely for a share last week and he can take another one here.
Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 1. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES - Pick 5
$80K Lexington purchase (1) ODDS ON FIAT MONEY, the first foal out of a 1/2-sister to Tattoo Artist, looks ready to roll for Doc Moore on debut. I’ll give her the nod over next door neighbor (2) MAI TIDE, who dropped four seconds in her second qualifier in a good effort. (7) AVA SEELSTER brought $40,000 at the London sale and she is related to seven winners including full sister Deb who took her lifetime mark of 1:51 2/5 at this track in 2019. This one should provide a threat on debut. (3) BLOWIN DOE has an experience edge on some of these and I see her taking another share here.
Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS - Pick 4
The way that (7) LOOKATMEGOAMIGO finished last week’s mile suggests to me that he is a Gold calibre colt and I’ll give him top billing here. (5) GALEN ERSO got a start in and took a Grand Circuit check, finishing well in a paceless race. He should get more aggressive now and he would be no surprise. (2) CHICAGO HALL had no chance the way the Tompkin Geers played out, but he didn’t finish with any pop. He reportedly scoped sick, and he trained well for this second start. He can bounce back here. (6) ARTFUL DODGER raced okay from the 10-hole in his debut. He can crack the exotics at a price tonight.
Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 1. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES
Millar Farms unveils another homebred that looks fast, (7) ITHADTOBEYOU, who produced a 26-flat kicker for J Mac who typically drives babies conservatively in their first qualifiers. I’ll give this filly the nod. (8) TH CHA CHA CHA was passed by a filly that kicked into a very fast gear in the lane. That was a good effort, and she should contend here. (1) SADDLEBAGS hasn’t yet lived up to her impressive qualifier on June 8th. I think she is better chasing rivals and I think she sits and rallies here in what should be an easier spot than the Tompkin Geers; using. (5) COEURATOUT DU LAC won on debut with part-owner Roy driving. She will need to be faster here. I’ll use her underneath.

Race 9: CLM HDCP $30,000 to $40,000
(4) ORDER ONE TO GO couldn’t be any sharper now he races off the Merner claim and gets Macdonald in the bike. Beat him to greet the cashier. (6) SWEET DEISEL was better last week but he couldn’t repel the choice. He too races off the claim and he should be the main threat. (5) HES SWIFT tries hard every week, and he can be part of the Tri in this spot. (1) DR JOE, 3rd behind the top two choices last week, can take another slice tonight.
Race 10: CLM HDCP $19,000 to $24,000
(9) MAINTENANCE MAN raced great to take a win that was only 1/5 of a second his life’s mark now he races for Lester off the claim in top form; call to repeat. (8) BAD EYE BILL was under siege the entire mile when claimed. He easily beat the choice the previous week and he can bounce back if he gets a better trip tonight; using. (5) YOU CAN HAVE ITALL has been producing some good rallies and he could take his first win of the year soon, maybe even tonight. (6) CAPTAIN FIREBALL took advantage of a slowing late pace to come on for 2nd last week. I think he finishes on the edges this time. (1) MR BEAST made a strong middle move that he couldn’t sustain last week. He could do better here if he finds an easier trip.
