Race 1: F&M 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 **GTD $75,000 Pick 5**
To me this race comes down to two contenders who both made it onto my Qualifier Watch List. (6) WATCHFUL EYE blasted to the front, let one go, then rallied up the pylons to win while Doug McNair sat motionless in the bike. She gets top billing. (4) MAJOR BATTLE was first to move then she got pushed widest by two rivals that pulled on the final turn, but she kept closing. She could offer some value here. (7) COUNT TO THREE had some late pace to offer in her qualifier and she can come on late her for a share. (10) LA BELLE REBELLA with three 3rds in five tries is another possible exotics factor.
Race 2: NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
(2) FASHION RACHEL'S qualifier was decent enough that I'll side with her in a wide-open race. Veteran Randy Waples gets the call in only his third drive of 2020. (8) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY is worth a look mainly because he shows gate speed and he has Roy at the controls; using. (1) NEON LIGHTS was going well enough before the break to suggest he can contend in this field; another possibility in a race that demands deep Pick 5 coverage. (10) Y C BROADWAY is usually in the hunt and he is another that wouldn’t shock me here.
Race 3: Starters For $8,000 CLM or Less in One of Last Three Starts
(6) EMPTYTHETILL won and was claimed in his last start before the break and he looks solid here to bring a return for his new connections in his first start out of the Fellows barn. (4) ON CRUISE CONTROL was also claimed out of the same race and he was the one the choice picked off late; using. Veteran (10) LISVINNIE was in against much tougher in his qualifier and his price will be good here in a spot where he is capable of upsetting if sharp enough. (7) FERN HILL BREEZE merits a look for the Tri having faced tougher last time.
Race 4: 4YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 (F&M $25,000) Pick 4
(2) SOLSBURY HILL qualified sharply behind a game winner and she may get the jump on (7) NYLANDER, who was airborne late in his qualifier. I'll use both on multi-race tickets and add (3) MASSIVE FLIRT, who is hard to toss considering she is perfect so far. The latter get over bet in this spot and she surely has her sights on much bigger purses this summer. (10) COMBS HANOVER should be passing some of these late; use on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 5: Starters For $12,000 CLM or Less in One of Last Three Starts
The Moreau barn came alive Saturday night, and this is a good spot for (1) CROCADILE CANYON to keep the ball rolling. (7) E L WILD SPIRIT fits well vs. these and he could get a great setup for his late kick; using. (8) TOMY TERROR is right there most weeks and he is another who merits a look in another tough dash. (10) MYBROTHERGEORGE will be passing horses late. Toss him in Tris and Supers at a price.
Race 6: 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT Pick 5
(8) HOT WHEELZ looked dynamite in his qualifier and he should be tough to beat here. (10) JOHANN's 27 2/5 kicker catches the eye, but a second tier post may not be the best spot for him; demand a price. (5) SPARTAN GENERAL is a homebred out of an unraced dam that has produced two winners from two starters and he’s worth a look in this spot making his debut. (7) NO TIME TO PLAY stayed flat for the first time in four qualifying attempts and he is likely looking to get a clean line here, but he could pass many of these late and land in the Super.
Race 7: F&M NW $6,000 L5 or $13,600 L10 AE: OPT CLM $18,000 Pick 4
(10) LOVELY DONNA should enjoy getting away from the likes of Sunny Dee and Bodicea and the mare starting in front of her should be leaving, so she gets the nod here. (4) JAN drops and she could pop in this spot racing near the front throughout; using. (7) TWIN B TIPSTER had a solid record last year and she looks sharp enough to take a share here. (1) LA ALWAYS A MARTINI gets her nose back on the gate here and she should stick around for a small slice.
Race 8: PREFERRED
(1) P L JILL was hot before the break and there's no reason to think she won't resume her winning ways in this spot. (5) BIG RICH should be firing early, and he is the logical alternative to the choice. (2) ON THE ROPES is typically in the mix and he could trip out here; using underneath. (6) R FIRST CLASS will be coming late, and he should land in the Tri or Super.
Race 9: F&M 4YO and Younger NW2 or $22,000 LT
(2) GP DREAMIN's 27 4/5 final 1/4 was the fastest recorded by 4/5 of a second of all qualifier winners on June 1 and she gets top call off that impressive performance. (10) UP AND TRENDING hasn't missed the board yet and the rail horses should be leaving. I'll use her on late multi-race tickets. (3) BURBERRY was solid in her qualifier for a barn that seems to have them all tight and ready to go using underneath. (7) FORTUNE TELLIN LADY was 2nd to the choice but she has had past gait issues. I will try to beat her out of the Trifecta.
Race 10: F&M NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
In a race with no standouts, I am going to take a price swing with (9) VILLAGE JOULES, who could get brave if she gets sent forward leaving the gate. (2) BEHAVENMYSELF qualified well and she gets a barn change here; using. (4) MISS MADY is a good fit here and Cullen should get position early with her; using. (7) CAFÉ SOCIETY is another to consider on the barn change and Hudon has scored with several longshots this year. (1) INNOCENT KISS is 19 for 31 in the money the past two seasons and getting Henry won't hurt here; using underneath.
