Race 1: 3YO Colts and Geldings Grassroots Starters **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5**

(1) KIPPER WHIPR SNIPR closed well last week but bad cover cost him a chance at chasing down the leader. I'll give him a slight nod tonight in a division where they take turns. (7) ARMSTEAD COLE has hit peak form and J Mac sticks. He will likely be the one to catch again. (5) LEXUS RANGER just took a new lifetime mark beating some of these then he skipped a week. He is another in with a shot here. (2) STAR POWER HANOVER sat then rallied late when 2nd to Armstead Cole and he is yet another possibility for the Pick 5.

Race 2: NW $2,100 L3 or N/A $450 P/S in 2021-22 AE: OPT CLM $15,000

(7) DELGADO is in much easier after trying Grand Circuit company as recent as two starts back and this is a field that he should beat. (3) LESTENPERCENT was probably going to win two starts back if he didn't jump it off in the stretch then he came back last week and got a needed clean line in. I'm expecting a more aggressive steer now; Exacta factor. (6) SHESWILDNFREE is another that has been facing tougher that should improve here and land in the exotics. (1) VICTOR INVICTUS should improve enough facing easier here to land in the Tri.

Race 3: F&M 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT

(1) SOUND BITE HANOVER was very good last week but she came up against a very sharp rival that wouldn't be denied. I'll give her the nod here. (5) DIAKUNS TREASURE looked good winning her qualifier. She was asked for nothing until she reached the head of the lane where she was pointed to the middle of the track and she impressively reeled in the leaders while under no urging. She could be a good one. 0 for 10 (2) ADDISON SEELSTER is getting closer and she is another in with a shot here. (4) SPEAKTOYOURMANAGER should improve enough in this second start to take a share.

Race 4: NW $3,000 L5 or $8,000 L10 AE: Pop-Up Starters or Starters for a purse of $9K or less L5 - Pick 4

(5) MYSTIC was too far back in the Pop-Up series final and he draws better here which should mean he is closer early. I'll give him a slight nod in a wide-open race. (9) TEXACO MAN is capable of better than he showed at Georgian Downs and he is worth a look at a price here. (6) SERENITY CRUISE has been facing tougher and he is another that figures to be close tonight. (1) SHOSHIE DEO got the trip and was game but she couldn't chase down the big chalk last week. She should be in the mix again.

Race 5: F&M 4YO and Younger NW2 or $15,000

(5) BEYOND THE SEA was on bad cover last week but it didn't matter because she would not be denied. I'll give her the call to repeat coming off that sharp score. (3) I LOVE ONGAIT raced well last week but got picked off in a fast mile for the class. She is the one to beat again. (1) FREE AS CAN BE takes a big class drop here and she gets Macdonald. She's an obvious threat. (4) SAKE TUMI should close late for another share.

Race 6: 3YO Colts and Geldings Prospect Starters - Pick 5

(5) MOONWATCHER took a ton of action last week but he never got into the race. He did produce a nice late brush from last-to-third that he commenced at the 5/8ths pole and he was moving fastest at the wire. Jamieson takes the return drive here and he should get more aggressive with this colt tonight. (6) HES A LADIES MAN did a lot of the work and finished ahead of the choice in a good effort and he is the main threat. (8) DREAMFAIR SUNSHINE finished 4th in that same race after flashing good gate speed. He is in the exotics mix here. (3) ALMOST THERE BOSS is consistently in the hunt and he should take a slice here.

Race 7: 5YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,500 (F&M $30,000) - Pick 4

(10) WARRAWEE XENIA is one of the hottest racehorses on the grounds and the 10-hole is unlikely to stop her as she rolls through her conditions. (9) HEAVENS PIC is improving rapidly and she can round out this Exacta despite drawing wide here. (5) R ROYAL PORT was no match for the choice last week and he likely takes another slice here. (1) RESOLUTE BAY can get closer here moving inside from post 10; using underneath.

Race 8: CLM HDCP $22,000 to $30,000

(8) MACHIN A TRICK gets a shorter field here which means he can be no worse than 8th at the 3/4 pole and he gets a driver switch to Sorrie who will likely get more aggressive. I'll give him the nod. (4) HIGH FLYIN JAMIE got good steers from Macdonald the past two starts and he will probably be well positioned again when they turn for home; using. (3) CHOREOGRAPHER is hit and miss but he returns to a 7-day cycle this week which could mean speed is coming; using. (7) JULERICA contends every week. He is in the exotics mix again.

Race 9: Horses that have started for a purse of $15,000 or less in 1 of L4

(7) COOL MUSCLE should be more aggressive here in this second start back off a vet scratch and he gets top call. (3) ARRAKIS raced well first up last week but that's not his best trip. I think McClure tries to trip him out racing near the front this time; using. (4) ESQUIRE cut some big fractions for this class last week. He is another one that can improve with an easier trip. (2) GOLD EDITION likely rallies for another slice in this spot.

Race 10: 4YO and Younger NW2 or $17,100 LT

(2) JABBERWOCKY tried a brush-and-crush that almost worked last week but pacing a 54 2/5 middle 1/2 took too much out of him and he got picked off late. He can beat these by setting a more even pace. (8) WHISKEY BREAK was well meant last time and he re-rallied after taking a shuffle; price look. (6) SOUTHWIND PHAROAH exits some tough races and he draws best tonight. He has upset potential. (7) WILLIAM HANOVER looked good breaking his maiden and he should be a threat right back racing from close range. (4) FULL DISCLOSURE raced okay chasing fast Mr Beast last time. He should be part of the High-5.
