Race 1: 2YO Fillies NW1 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
$22,000 Lexington purchase (6) SUMMER CRUSH is related to nine winners, and she gets Roy for this debut. She looks ready to win at first asking. (2) RESOLUTE LADY fired the fastest kicker and J Mac chose her over the choice who he qualified both times. She could be the one to beat. (3) COLD SMAPS is the only filly in here that has had a pari-mutuel start and she fires back in three days off that even effort. She should contend if she does indeed start off that short rest. $34,000 Lexington purchase (4) TACTICAL PRINCESS is a 1/2-sister to one filly who has a 0-4-3 record from 19 starts. I'll use her underneath.

Race 2: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,700 LT
I'm going to take a stab here with (7) KING TRIX, who trotted a 56 1/5 back 1/2 last week. I think Gois sends him this time and he might lead every step at a square price. (6) SHINEY SUNDAY produced some strong late zip in her qualifier here on June 20th and that late speed can play well here; using. (8) DARK HAMMOCK ROAD is probably fast enough to contend but after breaking in his first two qualifiers this year, getting a clean line is probably the main goal. I think he sits and rallies for a share if flat. (4) LAS VEGAS HANOVER was first up last week, and he got only the smallest check. He can do better here if he finds an easier trip.

Race 3: 2YO Colts and Geldings NW1 LT
(7) FAMILY SECRET, a homebred from the first crop of speedster Courtly Choice, is related to four that have paced in 1:52 1/5 or faster and I'll try him in a maiden race that has several possibilities. I like the way (5) MANHAWK finished he lone qualifier and he probably has more to offer than he showed in the opening 3/4 of that mile; using. (2) CAPTAIN FEAR NOT is a $45,000 Harrisburg buy from the first crop of North America Cup winner Captain Crunch. He is another possibility in a race that looks like a toss up. (4) GEISHAS TREASURE’s qualifier in Ottawa makes him a contender here. His grandam produced millionaire Southwind Gendry (1:47 2/5 S.)
Race 4: 2YO Colts and Geldings NW1 LT - Pick 4
(3) MYRETIREMENTDREAM got an educational mile in Sarnia with the owner/trainer driving now he gets Henry in the bike. It's go time. (7) SLAYIN THEDAY AWAY is the first foal out of an unraced dam that is related to three $200K winners. Driver Green typically likes to get money with rookies early and this one should offer a good price; using. (8) ALEXANDER is a Bax homebred that attracts the leading driver. That combination gets my attention and he is on multi-race tickets. (2) SOAR HIGHER is a $120,000 brother to Up and Ready who won the Superfinal here at three by 6 1/2 lengths. He is yet another possibility.
Race 5: 5YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT
The two dropping from a Grand Circuit race to NW2 should battle for the win here, and I'll side with (4) GHOSTLY CASPER, who got two brutal trips in a row. (5) DJIMON is the other dropper that figures to be right there at this level. This could be a two-horse race. (7) PESO HANOVER looked good beating maidens but this looks like a tough jump. I'll use him underneath. (3) BESHEAR can get another good following trip and land a small share.
Race 6: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,700 LT - Pick 5
I'll take a shot with $77,000 Harrisburg buy (8) LOOKS LIKE GAME ON who should be fast enough to beat these. (6) RICARDO stayed on stride, and he raced well to get 2nd behind an impressive winner. He is risky but capable. (2) PAVED THE WAY qualified nicely for this, indicating some maturity from two to three years old. He is in with a shot. (7) HEARTBREAK BEAT is worth using underneath coming off a nice closing effort.
Race 7: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 - Pick 4
The two colts that exit the Goodtimes should do battle here. I'll side with (8) SNOWPIERCER on the driver change to Macdonald. (5) WARRAWEE YANG finished ahead of the choice in that Grand Circuit race. He is the obvious danger. (3) MAJESTIC J adds Lasix and he has been facing some toughies in Kentucky. He is another in with a good chance here. (7) BELLA CAVALLA took a new life's mark last week in a strong effort. That was a well-earned win but I think if one of the top three choices fires his best shot, she will be racing for 2nd at best. I'll use her underneath.
Race 8: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,500 LT
(2) BETTORHOLDONTIGHT paced a 54-flat back 1/2 racing uncovered last week and a similar effort here can get the job done; top call. (6) MATTS GEM rallied well and fired a big kicker now he returns in seven days this time. Sorrie chose him over the choice and he could be ready for a big mile here. (5) FULL HORSE is capable vs. these but he has missed three weeks and he could get overbet coming in of a good Grassroots effort. Your call. (3) BACK TO THE FUTURE exits the same race as the choice and I can see him getting a share vs. this group.

Race 9: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000
This is a field that last year's Superfinal winner (2) MISCHEVIOUS ROSE is supposed to beat and I expect Roy to take control of the race before they reach the 1/2. (8) STORMONT MABEL got locked in behind the winning favorite for the entire stretch drive last week. I'm not sure she’d have beat that rival if she had clear sailing but she did finish with good energy. She is the logical alternative to the choice tonight. (9) SAUNDRA qualified well but this is no easy spot. A slice is likely her ceiling. (3) KEVIN ANTHONY is always a good one to use in the bottom of the exotics because he is typically passing horses in the final 1/4.
Race 10: 3YO Colts and Geldings Grassroots Starters in 2023
Great betting race to end the multi-leg wagers. (6) SAUBLE ACE looked a sure winner when he ducked inside in mid stretch last week but his lane closed off at exactly the wrong time and he made contact with the leader and jumped it off. He should offer a good price and I can see him dialing up a huge stretch rally tonight. (2) WINMEBACK reversed his form and found a 25 2/5 kicker last week. Macdonald had some choices here and he stuck with him. He is another that should be flying late. (4) SOUNDS GOOD is on a roll and he will have to be caught but there is a reasonable chance that he gets stung early here so I wouldn't take a short price. (10) REIGN SUPREME wants the front and so does Sounds Good. Who blinks first? (9) SPEAKER OF PEACE just dropped two seconds and he is another that should be passing rivals late; price look.
