Top Pick Stats: 487 - 1405 / $2,628.40 (-$183.400) Best Bets: 69 - 131 / $218.40 (-$43.60) Spot Plays: 31 - 128 / $286.40 (+$30.40) Best Bet: SILENT CROSSING (7TH) Spot Play: KEYSTONE DORAL (5TH) Early Pick 5: 1,5,7,8/1,2/4,5/2,5,10/1,2 = $19.20 Late Pick 5: 3,4,6/1/3,4,8/1,2,6,8/1,5,7 = $21.60 Early Pick 4: 2,5,10/1,2/3,4,6/1 = $3.60 Late Pick 4: 1/3,4,8/1,2,6,8/1,5,7 = $7.20 Race 1: 5YO and younger NW1 or $9,250 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (7) GAMING QUEEN was right there in a three-horse photo last week and her speed makes her dangerous vs. this group. Top call in the opener. (1) HEAVENS COUNT snatched defeat from the jaws of victory two starts in a row. She adds Lasix here which could be a difference maker, but I am still averse to taking a short price on her. (5) EYE OF AN EAGLE was racing great before he broke stride last week. He is another possibility for the early Pick 5. We know (8) MR BANJO can trot in 1:55 on his best day and he can improve sharply here now that he got a clean line down; price look for the exotics. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 2YO NW2 or $20,000 LT (2) TREGARON and (1) NIGHT PHANTOM hook up again after the latter stole an easy first 3/4 then repelled the former. I think trips will be different here and I’ll take the former to turn the tables. (5) ENTERTAIN ME drops out of the Grand Circuit and she can improve enough in this NW2 race to land in the exotics. (6) RIGHT HERE HANOVER was allowed to get away on a field of maidens last time and he held on late. I don’t see him repeating here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: Claiming $20,000 for NW $66,000 LT AE: N/A $700 P/S in 2024 (5) KYLES ART passed all but one rival to win last week now he draws better and projects to lay closer to the front. He will likely prove hard to fend off. (4) MANHAWK was out a long way and he provided cover for the choice. He has strong current form, and he figures to be the main threat here. (3) BAYLOR BOBBIE tried the front last week, and he couldn’t hold off the top two choices. He figures to round out the Tri or Super. (2) BERENS WEAPON hasn’t missed the board since late July. He can take a slice here. Race 4: 2YO NW1 or $8,000 LT - Pick 4 Homebred (2) SOLO C P, a full sister to eight time winner GP Dreamin (1:53 3/5 S.), was flashed good late speed and the leading driver qualified her and sticks here. This isn’t the strongest maiden field, and she gets the nod. (5) FORTUNES FAVOR improved in each of his last two starts and he would be no surprise in this spot; using. (10) EUROBANK HANOVER started his career with a good effort in a leg of the Millard Farms then he got sick. He adds Lasix here, but he has missed six weeks now and draws widest. Your call, but I’d need a price. (1) RESOLVED, a 1/2 to Musical Ride, who has won twice here this year, was decent in her second qualifier. She can land in the exotics here. Race 5: Claiming $20,000 for NW $30,000 LT AE: N/A $850 P/S in 2024 AE: NW $500 L5 (1) KEYSTONE DORAL has done very well since he shipped north, and he looks best here while picking up the leading driver; top call. (2) WALL STREET BELL shows a 1:52 win here four starts back and this is an easier field than the ones he faced in his past three starts. He can get a good trip here and he has upset potential. (4) STATE OF TREASURE closed well at the end of last week’s mile. He should be able to come on late and take a share here. (6) SOLID NINE HANOVER can grab a share dropping in for a tag. Race 6: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT - Pick 5 (4) R PEAKY BLINDERS comes out of a race where the victor has already come back to win. I think getting off the rail here he will get involved earlier in the mile; price play. (6) HUNGRY HILL has a stale date, but he comes out of a fast race and adds Lasix. He will be tough in here if he is sharp enough. (3) MARKET BANKER finished ahead of the choice last week and that duo trotted the same final 1/4. He is another that could do in here if he gets more aggressive. (8) SIX GUN YANKEE was a game winner last week, but these are tougher; small share predicted. Race 7: Pop Up Series F&M Leg 2 - Pick 4 (1) SILENT CROSSING paced a big first 1/2 last week making two moves to make sure she secured the lead and she still jogged. She is the obvious one to beat here. (2) JIMBELINA, the other first leg winner in here, also made a couple of moves to win and she is the main danger on paper here. (4) LADYSMITH is in tougher here, but she has been razor sharp at Grand River and she can take a slice tonight. (6) BETTER BE DONNA N will likely flash speed and stick around for a small share. Race 8: 5YO and younger NW1 or $8,500 LT (8) ZEBS CRAFTY took a lot of action last week and he raced okay, making a couple of moves then finishing 3rd. He can get a good trip racing on or near the lead this week and he gets the nod. (4) BARSTOOL MOUNTAIN made a late charge to finish ahead of the choice and he figures to be the main danger here; using. (3) ARTISTICALLYSIMPLE produced a nice late kick to break his maiden at Georgian Downs and he picks up Roy in the bike tonight. He is in with an upset chance. (1) JULIUS HANOVER is in easier here and he can close to round out the Tri or Super. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT In a wide-open race, I’ll take a stab with (2) BRONZER, who outraced his odds to finish 3rd here last week in a good effort. (1) VANJIE BLUE CHIP finished ahead of the choice last week, but he got a better trip. He fits well here, though, and he is in with a decent chance tonight. (6) SATURDAY has been in the Exacta in 9 of his 11 starts and he McClure here. He has shown he has a nose for the wire, and he is another to consider for late multi-race tickets. (8) UNCLE MORRIS drops out of the Pop Up series and he was a 1:55 1/5 winner three starts back against maidens. This isn’t the strongest NW2 field, and he is another possibility in a race where it makes sense to spread. Race 10: Pop Up Series F&M Leg (1) STONEBRIDGE DRAMA took a while to find racing room in the lane then she was a bit one paced but that was probably partially due to the winner being so good and sprinting away from the field. She can get a good trip racing on or near the lead here; top call. (5) DUCHENNE has been racing okay at Grand River now she gets the leading driver and a great post from which to use her potent gate speed; using. (7) GETTING EUCHRED has been consistent all year and she will be closing late again here. She is another that is in the mix. (4) MY ONLY SUNSHINE motored late to get 2nd last week and she can close for another good share tonight. (3) LATE FOR DINNER has been facing tougher and she fits better here. She should be part of the exotics.
