(7) KNOWITALLWES was a winner at this level two starts back and then he was beaten less than five lengths in Gold company. Getting back to this level tonight makes him the one to beat. (8) LOOKSLIKAGOODFELLA has a similar profile as the choice and he should be the main threat here, likely racing from close range; using. (9) THE DEALERS ACE is Gold-placed but coming off a break in stride he will probably be carefully driven. I see him closing late for a share. (5) ALL STAR YANKEE is usually in the mix and he should take a small share.

Race 2: 2YO Fillies NW1 or $5,000

(2) DANCE NUMBER raced well last week, nailed late by the pocket-sitting chalk. She has a big shot in here. (8) BUTTERCUP HANOVER improved sharply last week, showing she is starting to come around. She can win this if she gets a good trip. (5) SOVEREIGN was right there last week and she figures to take another share here racing from close range. (9) SALDANA HANOVER tried it first-up last week as the pace accelerated, which wasn't going to work. She can close for a share.

Race 3: CHAMPLAIN STAKES 2YO Fillies

I don't mind Walner filly (5) MILLIONDOLLARWALL in this spot getting Gingras in what doesn't appear to be a tough race; slight nod. (2) STONEBRIDGE BRAVO is one of the best fillies in here and she should be right there if she stays flat. (1) GRACEFUL PATTY couldn't convert at 1-9, but she figures to take a different approach here and she could be a dangerous closer in the stretch; using. (4) TACTICAL PLANNER has talent but also gait issues. I'd demand a price.

Race 4: CHAMPLAIN STAKES 2YO Open Pick 4

I typically don't love the rail post for young trotters, but I don't mind it for (1) CRANTINI here because it should help him get the jump on main rival and Wellwood Memorial winner (10) WINNERS BET. Nod to the former and using both on multi-race tickets. (11) SOUTHWIND COORS, 4th in the Wellwood final, can get a good following trip here and land in the exotics at a price. (5) GHOSTLY CASPER is around the money every start and he can get a piece of this.

Race 5: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT

Wide-open race here. I'll take a shot with (4) TAKE ON ME, who had little chance of closing into an accelerating late pace last time. (8) HEY RALPHIE closed well in his Mohawk Park debut and that 27 2/5 late speed can play well here; using. (10) MATS MVP returns from a rest and he gets J Mac in the bike. There are no standouts in here and he is worth a look at a price. (5) R PRECIOUS PEARL exits a fast race but she is 1 for 24 and she didn't beat much in her maiden breaker two starts back; using on the bottom.

Race 6: CHAMPLAIN STAKES 2YO Fillies Pick 5

Peaceful Way winner (1) RIGHTEOUS RESOLVE stands out here and she could be as low as 1-9 in this Grand Circuit field. It seems only a miscue could get her beat. (2) SHESUNDERTHERADAR finished 3rd to the choice in that race after being the first leader and she should complete the Exacta here. (7) SILLY ME HANOVER looked good early in her career and she will be in the exotics mix if she stays flat. (4) WINOOSKI is another that can be part of the Super if she stays trotting.

Race 7: CHAMPLAIN STAKES 2YO OPEN Pick 4

(2) INTERNATIONAL MAN raced well in the Wellwood final but he provided great cover for his stablemate who vaulted past late. He should get his first Grand Circuit win here. (4) OH LOOK MAGIC was the one that did the heavy lifting first-up in that race and he predictably tired. He is in with a chance. (7) LUKES BAR loses J Mac but gets Dunn and he should be in the exotics mix if he stays flat. (1) JOKIC had a tightener for this race and he can crash the exotics at a big price.

Race 8: Claiming $15,000 for NW $20,000 LT

(8) SPORT ADDICTION had a tough trip last time in Sarnia. This field likely isn't any tougher and maybe McClure sends him right down the road. (7) KHARLAMOV comes out of the fastest race and he retains J Mac. He's hard to toss in this field. (5) HES REALLY KEEN has a good record this year and he is the only horse in here racing off the claim, which makes him interesting. (9) NOBLE INTENTIONS fits better in a claimer. He's worth a look for late multi-race tickets.

Race 9: 5YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT

(7) THE BLACK ACE produced a big kick to take his maiden win and he likely won't get bet much here; call to repeat. (8) ILBENEEDINSTITCHES is the obvious speed threat coming out of a fast race. He will have to be caught. (6) THE PINBALL WIZARD won well here two starts back and he repeated in a nice effort at Grand River. He is another in with a chance. (3) GRACE should sit a good trip racing near the front and get a slice.

Race 10: Claiming $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $41,000 LT

(8) SAUBLE ATTACK drops out of a much tougher claiming handicap and he should get an aggressive steer tonight; top call. (10) YARM probably would have won if he stayed flat last week, but he draws widest again. I have mixed feelings on this one but he could win if he gets put into the race early. (3) BANKROLL was a solid winner as the chalk at this level last time. He is hard to toss. (4) TOUGHSONOFABEACH should get another following trip and come on late for a share. (5) TUUKKA RASP should close for another share in this spot.
