Top Pick Stats: 191/586 (-$244.80) Best Bets: 22/53 (-$21.90) Spot Plays: 9/54 (-$57.30) Best Bet: BLINDED BY DELIGHT (Race 9) Spot Play: JUST BANK (Race 4) Early Pick-5: 2,4,6/2/2,3/5/2,10   $2.40 Late Pick-5: 2,7/2,4/1,2/6/2,5,7   $4.80 Race 1: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (4) UPTO LAURA HANOVER has a decent middle move to her that needs to be timed correctly. She shouldn’t have to sustain as hard if she clears to the front at the top of the stretch. (6) LOOK A DIAMOND has shown decent speed at smaller tracks, but will need to finish if forwardly placed. She will have options off the car. (2) MASSBAR broke in her debut, but ships to the big track and picks up Doug McNair. She is logical if you think the connections can get her to step forward, but how big will the jump be? [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $70,000 (OS $96,750) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (2) DIAMOND RYDER was bet down to be the slight favorite, and ended up sliding to the outside from the pocket and going by. He is razor sharp as of late after not being able to buy a win. (5) ABOVEMYPAYGRADE has put forth a quality effort almost every time he has stepped on the track this year. Last week was no different, but he got picked off by the tripped-out Diamond Ryder. He gets post relief tonight. (7) EASILY THE BEST held on for third after trying a first over move against the top two. He may have to make two moves tonight to get into contention. Race 3: CHAMPLAIN STAKES: (GR 3). 2 YEAR OLD OPEN. STARTING FEE: $1,500 CDN($1,000 IF DIV) $1,150 USD ($775 IF DIV). (2) LAND THE PLANE was patiently handled again last week, but was clearly tighter and produced a nice win. He should only continue to improve with more experience. (3) MOTHERS MONI was a good winner for top connections in his latest at The Meadowlands. Leading driver James Macdonald is listed and should give him every chance. (7) TAVERN ONTHE GREEN has danced all the dances in Canada thus far and could vault past rivals if he finds a live helmet. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (5) JUST BANK was a sharp second after a two-move effort. He had plenty left to offer after leaving out and being shuffled. (3) FLORIDA GUY was moving just as well in the stretch behind a couple of sharp rivals, Land The Plane and Its Not My Vault, who would both be favored in this race. I think he will be better tonight. (2) TRIX UP MY SLEEVE made a delayed move to the front but was unable to hold off rivals in the late stages. He has come up short as the favorite in two straight efforts. Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. (2) NICKEL AND DIME was a solid repeat winner after leaving out from post eight. He is sharp right now and can continue the winning tonight. (10) SUNDAY SHOES was overmatched when last trying Grassroots competition, but showed plenty of pop with J-Mac in the bike. He should go off at a square price and could rally for a nice piece. (7) MR PASADENA has been second in two straight starts against similar company, and could sit a nice trip if he is forwardly placed. Race 6: POP UP SERIES: F&M STARTERS FOR PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. AE: NW $25,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). W/O $50,000 IN 2025 N/E. L2. AE: L1 STARTERS. (2) GENTRIFY was a near-miss second after an extended first over grind. She is knocking at the door and could get the job done as the second choice again this week. (7) YODA QUEEN was hammered at the windows once again last week and held on over Gentrify. She looked a bit vulnerable last week, but did set a quick half. Any kind of breather could see her win again. (5) HES EXPRESS has some pop at the end of her miles, and could capitalize if she sits just off the speed. Repeating last week’s trip would be just fine. Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,600 LIFE. NO ALLOWANCES. AE: 4 YR OLDS NW $2,275 L3. (2) SHOWMETHEMONEY DEO was up against a tough bunch in just her second career start. She should have a better chance of working out a trip against this group who has a propensity to produce cheap speed. (4) HOT COE COE should take support off the strength of her return effort, where she moved wide from last and closed to finish a solid third. That should tighten her up more for tonight. (10) DEAR ABBEY does better work when racing from off the pace. I can see her racing third or fourth over and trying to get up for a piece. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: CHAMPLAIN STAKES: (GR 3). 2 YEAR OLD OPEN. STARTING FEE: $1,500 CDN($1,000 IF DIV) $1,150 USD ($775 IF DIV). (1) GREENARROW HANOVER was looking for room both inside and outside last week in a race that was clearly a prep for stakes engagements like this. He got away poorly the last time he drew the rail, but should have better luck against a shorter field. (2) KINGMEN was taking on some tough colts in New Jersey. The likes of Apex and Diabolic Hill would be extremely tough in this spot. I would expect these connections to have him ready when shipping in. (6) NIXEN BIXEN is a talented colt, but the quirks may catch up to him if he needs to take some pressure. We’ll see how he handles his first stakes test. Race 9: POP UP SERIES: F&M STARTERS FOR PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. AE: NW $25,000 IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). W/O $50,000 IN 2025 N/E. L2. AE: L1 STARTERS. (6) BLINDED BY DELIGHT was an easy winner when picking up J-Mac last week. She looms as the clear horse to beat tonight. (7) P L RINCHENIA was a strong third and only missed by half a length after following Gentrify’s outside move. She is likely to be grinding into contention and could add a little bit of value underneath a big favorite. (1) CARSONS GOUDA is hit and miss when following a hot pace. This could set up for her to sneak through late and find her way to the board. Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. (2) ALIMONY MIKE showed more pop last week when adding Lasix. Another little step forward could see him finally get the job done against a wide open group. (5) RISING INTEREST faded back to fourth after setting a big opening quarter. He has the ability to put it all together, and should have options from this post. (7) CHICAGO HALL is another who really should have some better finishes of late, but just hasn’t performed. I’ll use him tonight thinking that he could rebound with a forward trip.
