(8) FLAWLESS LADY has the ability to beat these, but needs to mind her manners. If she takes back, I can still see her getting involved with a cover trip. I really thought (2) JYN ERSO would finish off that mile two back. She fits here, but I can’t pull the trigger. (6) CORAL CLIFF lost the sprint home in her latest but is continuing to improve. Post draw gives Jones options.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4B. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES.

(2) BELLA CHICA has put herself behind the eight ball right away in her last two efforts. She can pull the upset with the right trip. (4) ELBOWS UP made a mid-race move to the front and held off a charging rival. She draws well and looks for her fifth win in a row. (3) RARE LEGACY adds Lasix after a nice rally from off the pace. She will need to show more punch to hang with the top two.

Race 3: 2 YEAR OLDS NW 1 (FM 2) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. WITH ALLOWANCES.

(4) KIRWIN is figuring it out with each qualifier and posted his best morning prep last time. He trotted through the line nicely and could be ready to roll now. (1) R NORTHERN STAR couldn’t hang with the top colts in his latest, but not many can. He fits much better here if he can mind his manners. (3) TH PATRICK hugged the pylons on debut and passed a few rivals late. He can close for a piece again.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4B. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES.

(5) TWIN B SHOWBIZ flew home in her latest and nearly got to Elbows Up in the end. She is in career-best form right now. (4) BARBARA MAY was going to finish a decent second before the leader broke stride. She should put forth another good effort tonight. (7) UPGRADE trotted a good mile in her latest. Her gate speed has given her plenty of quality opportunities this season.

Race 5: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(8) STAMPEDE has performed nicely at the Gold level but poor posts in his last two have limited him. He should shine against these. (5) TWIN B LOUBORGHINI has improved with each start and should secure a good trip given this post. (3) WHISKEY STINGER was left chasing a big favorite but paced a mile that would slot him right into contention again if repeated.

Race 6: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS OR PROSPECT STARTERS FOR NW $15,000 LAST 4 STARTS.

(9) MAJESTIC EVA lacked room in the stretch after securing what looked to be a solid pocket trip. I expect her to blast again. (8) D A ADELE has flashed potential in limited starts and could easily contend with a sustained outside move. You might be holding your breath, though. (6) SNOWDREAM HANOVER made an early miscue last week which took her out of contention. I’ll look for her to stay flat and get a piece.

Race 7: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (FM 2) (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,500 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(10) UNSURPASSABLE was closing nicely after getting to the outside and nearly stole third. I’ll take a big swing in a wide-open race. (3) WILD ROSE HANOVER finds a softer group this week and is likely to use a middle move to grind into contention. (9) SATU WANIA comes off a good mile against Gold fillies, but we’ve seen her do this before and come back with a loss at a short price.

Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4B. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES.

(5) RONDA MAY K was on her way to a Grassroots score in her latest but made a late break. It’s turning into a pattern with her, but the qualifier was a step in the right direction. (4) HP CRYSTALINE could be ready to roll after a lone qualifier. Hard to not rate her highly in a shorter field. (6) CUPID HALL has been trotting consistent miles but needs to show a little more punch against Grassroots foes.

Race 9: 2 YEAR OLDS NW 1 (FM 2) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. WITH ALLOWANCES.

(6) WHOOPDEDOO HANOVER was highly rated on debut and performed well. New Jersey was a mixed bag and some breaking issues creeped in. Still, I’ll give her the slight nod in a competitive race. (7) KINGS LADY pulled off a big upset in his latest and appears to have more to show us. (8) FORT LIBERTY took a decent step forward in start two and could work out another good trip if handled aggressively.

Race 10: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.

(1) ALLSTAR TWINKLE worked out a nice trip again last week and was able to edge in front despite drifting in the stretch. (2) SOLIDAZABRICKHOUSE likely gets away towards the back again which won’t help her. She lacked room two back and is sitting on an upset win if positioned correctly. (9) JAZZVILLE bottomed out the field just enough in her latest to hold on for the win. I can see her trying similar tactics tonight.
