Race 1: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $25,500 LT**Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(3) TWIN B FLING took her second win at this level last week and she has the best closing kick in this field. She will probably be hard to fend off tonight; top call. (2) CAPULET comes off a strong effort over a good track where she produced speed both at the start and the end of her mile. She would be no surprise here. (7) MRSTERY DEAL tried Golds and wasn’t disgraced, and he is another possibility here with the leading driver in the bike. (8) MYFRIENDJOSE stayed flat and made a good late charge for 3rd in his most recent start. He is in the exotics mix.

Race 2: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS
(7) LOVE THOSE LEGS made her own luck at Georgian Downs by blasting to the front early and she then got a great pocket trip and converted. She fits well here, and she gets the call to repeat. (1) FLIRTY DANCER races better on the big track and she figures to be a big threat in this spot; using. (4) WEST RIVER IVORY is 0 for 9 this year but she has taken five seconds and she is getting closer. She will likely break through soon and it might be tonight. (3) ITDONTMATTERTOME needs a clean line tonight, so a conservative approach is likely for her; using underneath.

Race 3: 4YO and younger NW1 or $8,500 LT
(8) FALL IN LINE has been given two easy trips in his first two races and he closed well for shares in both. I think he gets put into play earlier here facing a field he can beat; top call. (6) STAY COOL HANOVER exits the same race as the choice and the debut winner crushed in that mile. He was passed late by the choice, but he fits in here and is worth a look for multi-race tickets. (1) BETTOR BE EARLY is another that comes out of that same race that figures in here. He has come close a couple of times in recent starts, and he has a chance to upset tonight. (2) JULIUS HANOVER ships north in good from. He is in the exotics mix.
Race 4: 2YO fillies NW1 or $8,000 LT Pick 4
(3) ENIGMA BOVINO was no match for a 1-5 class dropper last week, but I thought she raced well to get 2nd. She should offer a decent price in this spot, and she gets the nod. (9) STOVID is another that raced well to finish 2nd to an odds-on favorite. She figures to be right there vs. these. (6) ANGELIC got stuck behind a stopper at the 3/4 last week then re-rallied with good energy to take 3rd. She is another in with a decent chance. (7) RACE DIRECTOR was much better with trotting hopples on in her recent qualifier. Perhaps that equipment will cure her gait issues, but I’m inclined to watch her once racing for a purse.
Race 5: 2YO NW2 or $20,000 LT
(3) FOXY AMEE is several seconds faster than these on paper and she should prove tough to beat at this NW2 level. (1) CORE RESOLVE is improving rapidly for the Bax stable, and she fires home quickly in every start. She can be an Exacta factor in this spot. (4) IBELIEVEINANGELS dropped out of Golds and jogged in a Grassroots race, but that was a slow mile. She would have to be faster here to challenge the choice; using underneath. (6) RESOLVE INDEED has been right there in both starts and she should take another good share here racing close to the front.
Race 6: POP UP SERIES CONSOLATION F&M Pick 5
This Pop Up Consolation looks like a good spot for McNair to send (3) GETTING EUCHRED to the front and right down the road; top call. (8) STONEBRIDGE DRAMA finished well in the first two legs, and she will likely get sent forward leaving the gate. She should be the main threat to the choice. (1) DANGEROUS CURVES retains J Mac after he won with her at Grand River and she should be a threat here; using. (4) LOLAS SUNSHINE will likely pass a few rivals and land in the Tri or Super.
Race 7: 2YO colts and geldings NW1 or $8,000 LT Pick 4
(1) CALL ME PARKER came close to winning a Gold with J Mac in the bike two starts back and he gets that teamster back tonight in a likely spot; top call. (3) MR PASADENA has shown hints of talent but also gait issues, and he jogged with trotting hopples added in his qualifier on 8/16. He could go a long way on the engine here; using. (9) RISING INTEREST was beaten only three lengths in the mid-season Gold final and that stamps him as a contender here; using. (4) NORTHERN DRIFTER adds trotting hopples here and he can be part of the exotics if he stays flat.
Race 8: Claiming $20,000 for NW $35,500 LT AE: N/A $1,460 P/S in 2023/24
(9) BAYLOR BOBBY almost chased down 1-9 Manhawk last week and he looks best vs. these. McClure will likely look to send him down the road. (5) BERENS WEAPON comes off a solid effort vs. NW3 at Georgian Downs and he was a good 2nd to the choice here on 8/1; the main threat. (8) KYLES ART was four lengths behind the choice last week and he likely lands on the fringes again here. (3) TREASUREINTHESAND was out of position last week. He can get a quicker start here and take a share.

Race 9: 5YO and younger NW1 or $8,500 LT
(1) HEAVENS COUNT was better last week as expected but she got picked off by the rival that she provided perfect cover to. She stacks up well vs. these; top call. (8) FASHION CONTENDER closed some ground on the choice in the lane last time and he could be the one here if he is closer at the head of the lane; using. (9) MA ISABELLE trotted a big mile in defeat her two starts back. She figures to be a speed threat tonight if she stays flat. (7) GONE GOODBYE likely sits a trip near the front and hangs around for a share.
Race 10: POP UP SERIES FINAL F&M
This looks like a race that will feature plenty of action with $20K claimers racing for a purse of $20K. I’ll take a price shot with (8) ROYAL TELL, who was flying late last week and has improved recently. (6) YODA QUEEN is 2 for 2 in this series and she has shown versatility. Macdonald has options starting from the advantageous 6-hole and she is the one to beat. (4) CARSONS GOUDA is another stout closer that could benefit from a late pace meltdown; price look for the multis. (2) CHEESY SMILE races better when she adopts a closing style. She should be passing some of these late and she is another in with a shot in a good betting race. (10) ZEBS BREAKING DAWN would be rated higher if she drew better. From out there, she likely closes for a small slice.
