Race 1: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $45,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.

I’m not sure how much (6) LADY CENTURY would have had left in the stretch, but she got blocked in and never could show us. Another forward trip gives her a chance. (9) PLAY DATE has gotten around the Mohawk oval well in the past and now adds Lasix. Gate speed should allow her to overcome the post. (3) SUNFLOWER HANOVER has been pretty good in Canada for the most part. The bar wasn’t too high when she shipped from PA but she has passed with flying colors.

Race 2: WHENUWISHUPONASTAR ELIGIBLES.

(4) MAURITIUS finally showed some gate speed last week and put forth a strong mile. She could get the jump on others. (2) ROCKIN JADE DEO has shown no gate speed but McClure had a big hold of her as she was coming up on horses last week. Do her fortunes change with a shorter field? (3) TREACHEROUS NOVA had a tough task when first over, but she may wind up with that same trip again. She should be in the mix.

Race 3: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. LEG 3.

(5) ALLSTAR TWINKLE gets key post relief after faltering from a post 10 speed try. (2) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY found her best stride late as usual. If nobody stops her momentum, she could rush past the leaders late. (6) JAZZVILLE has sharp early speed but hasn’t finished a race in a while. An underneath use for me.

Race 4: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,500 OR LESS 3 RACES) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(9) KINNDER ROLEX appears to have some ability under the hood, but needs to mind his manners. A live helmet could tow him into contention at a price. (6) BROADWAY STAR is the obvious early speed threat but I think he is susceptible given that he hasn’t finished a mile yet. (5) MASSCHETTE was progressing towards a win but suffered a setback last week. He can grind for a piece.

Race 5: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $11,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(5) MAXIMUM PRESSURE is progressing despite having to face off against stakes types. He should benefit from dropping in class. (6) GREAT WHITE NORTH has potentially shown what he is at this point: an early speed type that will take a field a majority of the way. (3) BACIO BLUE CHIP will likely be conservatively handled early, but should provide a decent late kick and pass rivals late.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 3. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS.

(3) D A ALLJOKESASIDE showed plenty of potential in his debut and that was from off the pace. He appears versatile and ready to win. (1) CHEDDARLUCKNXTTIME is in a similar spot to Great White North. He can leave and sprint late, but still hasn’t won yet. (5) THE SWOOPER was in a tough spot in the Battle Of Waterloo. He gets around the Mohawk oval well and should be in the mix.

Race 7: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. LEG 3.

(5) SOLIDAZABRICKHOUSE was pacing hard up the inside and nearly picked off the winner. She isn’t the quickest off the car but can usually sustain a bid. (8) LITTLE MOMENTS is second off the claim after a grinding rally to get the job done in leg one. (1) ANNAS WISH wound up best of the rest behind a runaway winner. She doesn’t win much but can get a piece.

Race 8: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.

(9) TREACHEROUS WIND paced nicely through the wire in his best qualifier to date. He gets my nod in a tricky race. (3) LUV LOU showed improvement on debut and could step forward again. (2) ACES WIRED may not class up to this bunch but his early speed should allow him to secure a fine trip.

Race 9: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW 7 RACES OR $60,000 (OS $85,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.

(1) SUMMER DANCER has plenty of early speed and will likely be able to get his fractions in a shorter field. (6) HAPPY IN CONTROL cruised in his latest with a front end trip. Early speed is likely key against this group. (2) TREASURE THE DAY only missed by half a length when last seen here. He finished behind Happy In Control in his latest.

Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 3. 2 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS.

(9) JUST KEEP FLYING was a sharp winner in his latest and showed everyone just what he could offer. Can he repeat it? (5) CATTLETRACKS is continuing to improve and draws perfectly for another speed try. (10) TH THEO paced a fine mile against a decent group last week. We’ll see what he can offer from the high draw.
