Meet Stats: 413 -- 1298 / $2,179.70 (-$396.50)  Best Bets: 67 -- 120 / $234.40 (-$5.60)  Spot Plays: 34 -- 120 / $244.70 (+$4.70) Best Bet: SWEET DETRMINATION (4TH) Spot Play: GLENBORO (1ST)  Early Pick 5: 3,9/3,4,6,8/6,9/8/1,5 = $6.40 Late Pick 5: 3,9/2,5,8/5,6/1,3,4/6,7,9 = $21.60 Early Pick 4: 8/1,5/3,9/2,5,8 = $12.00 Late Pick 4: 2,5,8/5,6/1,3,4/6,7,9 = $54 Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Leg 3 2YO Fillies **Guaranteed $100,000 Pick 5** (3) GLENBORO paced a big mile in defeat in the Battle of the Belles final and she draws better than her main rivals here. Top call in the opening leg of the early Pick 5. (9) CHEESY SMILE drops out of the Golds here and if their goal is now to win the Grassroots championship, she will need to accumulate points fast, so expect an aggressive approach from her. (8) TWIN DELIGHT has done nothing wrong so far and she gets Macdonald tonight. She isn't impossible, but I prefer to use her underneath the top two in this race. (1) CHAKKA is getting faster every race. She can take a small share.  [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 2YO Fillies NW1 or $10,000 LT (8) TACTICAL TAKEOFF comes off a good effort and he looks best in here. He should convert, possibly as the second choice behind (6) SHESUNDERTHERADAR. The latter raced decently in the Pure Ivory elim and final and she is the clear danger. (3) TACTICAL MOUNDS shows two good efforts in two tries but she looks third best in here. I'll use her underneath. (4) FOOLISH MONI is fast enough to contend here if she stays flat, but there is obvious risk with her showing breaks in three of five starts; your call.  Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Leg 3 2YO Fillies (9) ILLUSION SEELSTER comes out of the fastest race and she paced the fastest kicker. She should be tough to beat if she gets put into this race. (6) CARLA CAM has the best form and she is the only Grassroots winner in this field. She is hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (7) PA DELIGHT showed some improvement in her second start and she can take a share here. (5) STONEBRIDGE FIB gets a key driver change tonight. She has upset potential.  Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD Leg 3 2YO Fillies Pick 4 (8) SWEET DETRMINATION looks clearly best in this Gold race and the outside post is of no concern. She will be a multi-race single for me. (6) ITS YOUR CHOICE has shown she is competitive in Gold company and she should be right there again tonight. (7) CLIMB THE POLE's debut was good enough to suggest she can contend for a share in here; using underneath. (5) MASS HYSTERIA is another that figures to be in the exotics mix in this spot.  Race 5: 2YO Colts and Geldings NW1 or $10,000 (5) TIP TOP CAT has been narrowly beaten in both starts as the chalk and he looks best again here. Graduation time. (1) TEEN TATTLER has been good in recent Grassroots starts and he can get a good following trip here. He is the second one that I'll use in the Pick 5. (7) THE GOLDEN JET has raced well in all of his starts but has been beaten by a minimum of 1 1/4 lengths every time. I'll use him underneath. (3) BETTER BEA TERROR is a good one to use on the bottom of Tri and Super bets.  Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Leg 3 2YO Fillies Pick 4 Unbeaten (9) ST LADS DARK ANGEL is clearly fastest of any of these and she has shown some versatility in her two wins. She can take another here despite drawing widest. (3) GRANDEUR SEELSTER has been right there in every start and she won't be held off much longer; using. (1) WESTERN FLAMES is worth using underneath coming out of the Battle of the Belles where she took a check. (5) BEST SHOW finished fast last time. Give her a look for the bottom of the exotics.  Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES Grassroots Leg 3 2YO Fillies Pick 4 (2) ONE LAST WISH was put into a race for the first time on 8/2 and she responded with a gritty win. I'll give her the nod to repeat. (5) SHAKE IT TWICE, 4th in The Battle of the Belles final, is the one to beat as the likely chalk; using. (8) VIRTUAL KISS was a first-over winner last time, a trip that is low percentage on this track. She is in with a decent chance to repeat here. (6) TWIN B ECHO will likely flash speed and stick around for a share.    Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GOLD Leg 3 2YO Fillies  (5) STONEBRIDGE BRAVO was bet like she couldn't lose her debut and she had no problem converting. I'll side with her here expecting a much better price facing Gold fillies. (6) RIGHTEOUS RESOLVE is one of many very good young trotters thriving for trainer Bax this year and she is hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (7) SHINY NEW PENNY raced okay in Grand Circuit company and she is in the exotics mix. (8) MARGARITA MORNING is already a Gold winner. Give her a look for the bottom of the exotics.  Race 9: F&M 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT Wide-open race here. I'll look for $250,000 yearling (4) IPANEMA HANOVER to improve enough in this third start to notch an upset. (1) INFINITY SEELSTER, the only winner in the field, raced well last time and I can see Henry moving earlier with her tonight; using. The 0-for-10 (3) BETTER SING IT produced her best race last week but she was no match for a filly that flew down the middle of the track late. She is capable in this spot. (8) SPEAKTOYOURMANAGER will pass a few of these late again. Toss her in Tri and Super bets.  Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS Leg 3 2YO Fillies (7) CHEESE SO PRETTY got herself in position leaving the gate last time then she produced wicked late speed to get the job done; call to repeat. (9) REGIL IRISH improved when 2nd to the choice last time and she will be a big price here leaving from the widest post. She could provide some multi-race value. (6) HURRIKANE MSRODINE will likely look for a helmet to follow this time and she is another that could do if she gets a trip. (5) MANASQUAN BEACH should flash speed and stick around for a share. (3) SUNBURNT paced a 55-flat back 1/2 last time. She can crack the exotics at a price.
