Race 1: FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $50,500) LIFETIME.
(7) WISDOM HANOVER was given every chance off the jump in class but came up just short. Look for an aggressive steer again tonight. (3) KADIDDLE can really motor in the late stages and finally draws a better post. She could be ahead of a couple in the early stages which could make the difference. (4) SHAMPOO GIRL can contend when she minds her manners. J-Mac’s choice looms large. (8) TH MONICA has some back class but hasn’t fired yet this year. Post makes it tougher

Race 2: WHENUWISHUPONASTAR: 2 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. LEG 2.
(8) ADINA HANOVER got shuffled back to seventh in her latest and produced a strong late rally to finish second. I’ll give her the nod tonight with a better trip. (4) JAY dug in and held off rivals in her latest. She draws a perfect post to try and wire them again. (1) VENUS N SERENA raced well up the inside to snag a piece. She will likely be looking for a live helmet. (5) TWIN B FIERCE was pacing home just as well as the rest. Trip will determine her fate.
Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(2) COLD CREEK FUEGO was an easy winner in her latest. Although she was aided by the horse on the lead making a break, I think she was winning anyway. I’ll give her the nod over others who have had plenty of chances. (4) WHO ARE YOU was my pick last week but she came up just short. She is a major player again. (1) GUCCI SEELSTER is improving since the qualifier and should have options when it comes to her trip. The question is if she can sustain her move. (6) DANCIN FOR GOLD has had no chance to really show what she has yet. I would expect an improved effort if she gets away in relatively decent order.
Race 4: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,000 LAST 5 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. LEG 1. (MUST START IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL).
(7) DOLLYDAYDREAM nearly nabbed a check with a sustained back half rally and could be sitting on a win with the top driver listed. (2) FIRST FILLY CHIP should enjoy the drop in class. Trip is the only question, but she feels like a must use on tickets. (9) GRACIE T has been grinding out strong finishes at Hiawatha. I could see her being fired off the car and holding on for a nice piece. (5) ALL SHE CAN likes to be forward and has been better as of late. She is another who can hold on for a share.
Race 5: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(4) LILY REIN makes a ton of sense after her near miss last week. She should sit close and have every chance again. (10) CHEX MIX took a bad step in her debut and made a break. This is a big drop from the Gold level. She could be aggressively handled from the far outside. (8) CHATTY MATTIE takes a drop from stakes competition. She needs more on the end of her miles. (7) JENNY DA VIE showed clear improvement between qualifiers. I’ll forgive the break this week.
Race 6: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(7) SAPPHIRE STEVE was tracked down in the late stages after a front end try. He deserves another chance, especially if J-Mac finds his way in the bike. (4) MISS UNIVERSE showed some interest in the late stages but was way too far back. I would expect improvement in her second start of the season. (6) KAMA nearly rallied for a check after making an early miscue. I think he is better when racing off a helmet. (10) SHESAMANALISHI was better in her latest but now draws post ten. She can close for a share.
Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $53,250) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(5) SHES LAWLESS is a down the road threat that will be fired off the car at some point. I’ll predict that it’s tonight and she takes them the distance. (6) KIERA SEELSTER lost her cover but battled well after that to hold third. She is back in solid form. (1) GRANNYS WATCHING makes just her third start back after a layoff. She can continue to improve. (3) INUKSHUK SALLY got shuffled last week and just missed getting a check. Another inside trip seems likely.
Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(9) IN THE BLACK already has a win at the Gold level and continues to improve. He was being heavily bet before the cancellation last week. He can overcome the post. (11) FIRST CLASS MASS held off a strong first over challenge and eventually drew away from rivals. The trip will be different tonight, but if he finds a live helmet, I think he can put forth a good effort from the second tier. (3) CRUNCHINTHEODDS went on a speed mission last time and nobody caught him. He might need a bit more in the tank tonight to hold off these if it sets up like that again. (10) THE GREEN GAZOO was the easiest of winners on debut and takes the next step into Gold company, but he draws poorly. A use in exotics at a price.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(7) CORA CORA CORA came up short as the favorite last time but was following a fast pace on the 5/8s. She adds Lasix tonight and should look to wire the group. (4) GIMMIE A CORONA was an upset winner last week and should be forwardly placed again. (3) KATYS DELIGHT is continuing to race well at this level and could capitalize if the race falls apart. (1) DEL DIGGITY is a horse I’ve never seemed to be on the right side of when she races here. She is in decent form
Race 10: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $65,000 (OS $87,500) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: N/A $620 P/S IN 2025.
(9) ALWAYS B SWEETEST vaulted off cover in his latest and pulled off the upset. Hard to pick against a claimer who is as sharp as he is. (4) WICKED PRINCE was put in play and held on for third despite setting fast fractions. He should sit close again. (8) BEACH CRUISER could easily find a live helmet in here and get right back into form. (1) ON TIME DELIVERY adds Lasix after a qualifier where he righted the ship. His price will be right if you like him. (10) ABOVEMYPAYGRADE has a tall task ahead of him from post ten. He can close to round out the Hi-5.
