Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(2) BADEN BADEN flew home to win a Gold in her third start and off that strong effort she gets the call to repeat. (1) THE GREEN BOOK was the first leader in that race then she was overtaken by two rivals, and she rallied late up the inside in a good effort. She is in with a chance. (3) SPRITE SEELSTER split the top two choices in a good debut race, and she is another in with a shot. (8) TH MONICA dominated a Grassroots field in her second start and the leading driver sticks with her. She wouldn’t be a big surprise in this spot.

Race 2: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME
(7) MANHAWK doesn’t lose at this level apparently. He will be a popular Pick 5 single tonight. (3) BETTOR ON ICE raced well to be 2nd to the choice last week and he can complete another Exacta here. (4) BAYLOR BOBBY blew up before the start and that sealed the deal for the choice early in the mile. He will be an exotics player if he behaves tonight. (5) HOWYOUPLAY THEGAME, 3rd to the choice last week, can take another share.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES
(8) MONALISHI beat several of tonight’s rivals handily in the first Gold leg and she had no problem dealing with an outside post. I’ll give her the nod to repeat. (1) EXQUISITE TASTE was predictably under-driven tuning up for this Gold race when she finished a closing 2nd to maidens. She is capable of turning the tables on the choice here; using. (2) INCANTATION squandered a high placing when she jumped it off in the lane while on a clear lead in Gold leg 1. She is obviously fast enough if she behaves. (5) FOXY AMEE was a professional Grassroots winner on debut and her 27 2/5 kicker shows she is more likely a Gold filly than a Grassroots one. She is another in with a shot in a good betting race.
Race 4: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME Pick 4
(5) CEREAL ASSASSIN is in much easier here and he should improve sharply facing maidens tonight; top call. (4) BROTHER JIM blew up at the start as the 1-5 chalk last time when he came in off a good debut mile. He will likely be the main threat if he stays flat this time. (1) GANSBAAI can motor home with sub-27 kickers, but he will likely be too far back starting from the rail; using underneath. (7) BETTOR BE EARLY should get a better start this time getting off post 10. I see him closing to get a small slice.
Race 5: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS
(6) YOU GOT IT KEMP would have caught the 4-5 favorite in his debut if he got clearance one or two seconds earlier. He was in high gear when the wire hit and that should be a perfect prep for this Gold debut; top call. (2) SHUTTER GREEN is another Etsell trainee that looks promising, and he has licence to improve off that good debut mile. He would be no surprise here. (7) PIERRE IN PARIS looked good rallying up the pylons to win a Grassroots race on debut and he will likely offer a square price in this spot stepping up to the Gold level; using. (1) MANFORCE has done nothing wrong to this point but as the morning line favorite, I am inclined to try to beat him in this competitive field.
Race 6: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME Pick 5
(6) STORMONT FRIENDLY comes off a good effort chasing an impressive debut winner and she gets top billing vs. these starting from the best post. (4) STORMONT CHEERIO, stablemate of the choice, comes off a sharp effort and he should be the main threat. (10) DEVILS KISS is 0 for 22, but he flashed speed vs. Grassrooters in his last start and he stacks up well in this field. The 23rd try might be the charm. (9) ELECTRIC JANE showed what she can do last week when she stays trotting but her gait issues still worry me. I’d demand a price.
Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS Pick 4
(6) GALEN ERSO was an impressive winner in the first Gold leg and I’ll give him the nod to repeat. (7) DAY demolished Grassrooters and he takes the logical step up to Golds here. He will probably be the one that the choice must fend off late. (4) ALIMONY MIKE was probably in a bit too tough in the Millard Farms series. He can be closer here, but I prefer to use him underneath tonight. (9) LMC WAGON WHEEL is in a tougher field tonight coming off a win in Gold leg 1; small share predicted.
Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING HANDICAP $10,000 TO $15,000
(6) BLUE GLAMBER gets Henry in the bike for her second start in the Barrington barn. It’s go time. (7) SWEET LOVING is in peak form, and she should be the one to fear racing from close range in this spot. (1) CLODAM BAYAMA was 0 for 17 before she took three straight wins at Kawartha and was claimed by Riley for herself. She should get a good piece of this. (4) COMPASSROSE DE VIE adds Lasix here and she can close for a share.

Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS
(4) ARTFUL DODGER’s Gold debut was very good, and he was privately sold following that race. He starts for the Fellows barn now and he gets top billing. (2) LOOKATMEGOAMIGO simply got too far back in leg 1 to make any kind of impact. I look for Roy to motivate him at the start to get position this time and he is capable of beating these if he is in striking range at the head of the lane. Highly regarded (7) CHICAGO HALL hasn’t delivered his best yet. He was in perfect striking position last time and he spun his wheels when called upon. The addition of Lasix could explain some things. He is in with a shot tonight. (6) STMIKES KERRYBLUES likely shows speed and sticks around for another share tonight.
Race 10: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $34,250 LIFETIME
(5) BERENS WEAPON ships in from the B tracks in terrific form and he adds Lasix for Team Cullen tonight. He will be a single for me to close out the late multi-race tickets. (8) ALADDIN DU LAC is another sharp shipper that will likely get put into play leaving the gate. He can be an Exacta factor here. $170K yearling (10) VINCENDI BLUE CHIP is basically being given away for $30K by Determination in this spot. His Grand River qualifier from 7/17 doesn’t get the heart racing. I’ll play to beat him from post 10. (1) MIKRON will likely look to sit an inside trip and come on late in the mile. He can land in the exotics. (3) SPEEDY BLINDERS brings good form from the B tracks and comes in off a good closing effort. He can land a small share tonight.
