Top Pick Stats: 69/211 (-$134.00) Best Bets: 7/19 (-$9.10) Spot Plays: 3/19 (-$23.80) Best Bet: THE GREEN GAZOO (Race 7) Spot Play: KIERA SEELSTER (Race 8) Early Pick 5: 5,7/1/1,6/5,7/4,5,8   $4.80 Late Pick 5: 6,7/10/1/2,4,8/8   $1.20 Race 1: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (5) FABULOUS SERENITY looks like another strong debut prospect for the Jones barn after her easy win in her second morning prep. Tyler was motionless in the bike. (7) SARAQUEL raced decently in her career debut, but was just outsprinted by Grassroots foes. If forwardly placed again, she should contend for the win. (9) ANTEBELLUM trotted a very strong back half to pick up a check. I would rate her higher if she didn’t draw the outside. (3) LILY REIN looked to have some trot up the inside but couldn’t catch the leaders. If in the right spot, she could do some damage. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: WHENUWISHUPONASTAR: 2 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. LEG 1. (1) VENUS N SERENA went up against some of the toughest current fillies in PA when she was shipped to The Meadows. She showed more than enough in her two Mohawk starts to step into this spot with confidence. (5) TWIN B FIERCE went by the leader in the stretch after a perfect pocket trip. She is continuing to improve and should be forwardly placed. (2) CACKLE BERRY took advantage of the 1-9 shot breaking in her race and just got up to pull the upset. The question is if she can step forward again. (3) BRIANS HALO was the filly that Twin B Fierce beat in her latest. She has versatility and should hit the ticket no matter the trip. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 3: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (1) GUCCI GUCCI GOO has shown sneaky ability late in his miles, and I thought he raced fine last week from post 10. I’ll give him the nod in a tough race. (6) LEXUS LEGACY drops from the Grassroots but wasn’t showing enough in his starts at this level. An aggressive steer could change that. (3) GOAL DIGGER got tired after a front-end try in what was just his third career start. He has the upside to be a used on tickets. (4) SAPPHIRE STEVE ships in after some decent races at Kawartha. He could step forward on the bigger track. Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (5) MEADOWVIEW ROTHY continues to improve with experience and raced very well in her latest. She draws better tonight and should be a major player. (7) TRUDYBIRD feels like she is sitting on a much better effort and the drop from the Grassroots level could help that. Her grinding style can allow her to pass a lot of horses. (4) RESOLVED is one of the only horses I see who can sustain any kind of speed try. She should be on most exotic tickets. (6) SHESAMANALISHI stayed flat after the qualifiers, which is a start. Let’s see how she steps forward tonight. Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $25,250 LIFETIME. (4) THE TIME MACHINE made a break in his latest, but raced well behind a big favorite at this level two starts ago. He should be forwardly placed and can rebound. (5) CABALLERO has the back class to get the job done, and his last morning prep was a step in the right direction. The tote board should tell us plenty. (8) UNCENSORED is a horse I’ve watched plenty of at The Meadows who should have every chance to improve with brand new scenery and connections. (10) LANCELOT was charging in the late stages and picked off more than a few rivals to hit the board. The post makes it a tough ask, though. Race 6: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $64,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: N/A $840 P/S IN 2025. (6) ABOVEMYPAYGRADE had no chance last week when getting away at the back. Look for him to latch onto a live helmet and vault past in the stretch. (7) WORLD REVIVAL was a strong second after a sustained first over bid. He has been racing extremely well in recent weeks and can spice up the exotics again. (4) JIMMY WHISPERS got shuffled in his latest but managed to grab a check. Look for an aggressive steer this week. (5) BEACH CRUISER eventually got to the outside in the stretch but didn’t really fire. He can rebound, but is one I’ll play against, especially if he is a short price again. Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD). (10) THE GREEN GAZOO was the easiest of winners on debut and takes the next step into Gold company. I think he can repeat despite the wide draw. (11) FIRST CLASS MASS held off a strong first over challenge when on the lead and eventually drew away from rivals. The trip will be different tonight, but if he finds a live helmet, I think he can put forth a good effort from the second tier. (9) IN THE BLACK already has a win at the Gold level and continues to improve. Another logical contender. (3) CRUNCHINTHEODDS went on a speed mission last time and nobody caught him. He might need a bit more in the tank tonight to hold off these. Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $68,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (1) KIERA SEELSTER is back in good form and showed it with a third-place finish after taking some air on the outside. I’ll lean in her direction. (6) SUPERIOR DELIGHT makes a ton of sense considering her past track record at this level. She draws perfectly tonight and should be right there again. (7) SHES LAWLESS has no chance if she takes back again. I can see her firing out one night and wiring a group. (4) GRANNYS WATCHING took a big step forward in her second start back. She can continue to improve and should at least hit the ticket. Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000. (8) CORA CORA CORA came up short as the favorite last time but was following a fast pace on the 5/8s. She adds Lasix tonight and should look to wire the group. (4) KATYS DELIGHT is continuing to race well at this level and could capitalize if the race falls apart. (2) DEL DIGGITY is a horse I’ve never seemed to be on the right side of when she races here. She is in decent form and should contend. (6) GIMMIE A CORONA was an upset winner last week and should be forwardly placed again. She can grab a piece. Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES. (8) COLD CREEK FUEGO was a dominant winner in her latest and appears to have plenty of upside when shipping in. I’ll give her the nod over others who have had plenty of chances. (4) WHO ARE YOU was my pick last week but she came up just short. She is a major player again. (10) GUCCI SEELSTER is improving since the qualifier but draws a tough post. That should inflate her price and potentially spice up exotics. (1) DANCIN FOR GOLD has had no chance to really show what she has yet. I would expect an improved effort if she gets away in relatively decent order. (5) WICKED WORDS has earned two minor checks since shipping in and can round out the Hi-5 tonight.
