This filly has a good chance tonight. (6) GOOD NIGHT MOON is on a roll and so is her driver. She is the one to beat. (7) SHIATZU SEELSTER is in peak form and she raced well here on 7/12. She could upset with the right trip. (3) TWIN B SUNKISSED should be closer here dropping out of the Gold division, but I prefer to use her underneath. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: PURE IVORY SERIES 2YO Fillies (4) BABY MIA gets Filion tonight and these are the types that trainer Baillargeon can turn on a dime; upset special. (7) ANGELONIA was an impressive debut winner and she is the one to take down here in her first stakes try. (9) LADY MONTAGUE showed she has the tactical speed to win from an outside post at Harrah's Philly and she certainly isn't out of this. (6) SAMOSA is improving each start. I can see her landing in the Tri or Super tonight. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: PURE IVORY SERIES 2YO Fillies (2) ELEGANT MERMAID is clearly the one to beat here after taking a Gold win in her first start; top call. (6) CLOCKWORK ORANGE was nailed late by a filly that flew the last 1/8th of a mile and has since been sold. This filly is in with a good shot here. (5) POCAHONTAS has fired fast final quarters in each qualifier and she should be dangerous here if she stays flat; using. (1) HP FELICITY, 2nd in a Gold race on debut, should take another share here. Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Fillies Pick 4 There will be no secret to three-time winner (2) SASSY BLUE CHIP's strategy here and she will be the one to catch in her first start for Team Hensley. (5) DOCS DELIGHT comes off a nice effort from the 10-hole in a Grassroots race and she should be a strong threat tonight racing from close range. (3) COUNTERCURRENCY is worth a look for the exotics on the barn change to Moreau. (7) SWEET PINK could get over-bet here in a race where she doesn't seem to hold any advantages. I'll play to beat her. Race 5: 2YO NW1 or $7,000 LT (1) TWIN B JAMMER flashed good late speed in his debut in a Grassroots event and now he faces straight maidens. It's go time. (8) HES STALKING YOU has obvious gait issues to go along with some talent and speed. If he paces the entire mile tonight, he should be right there vs. these. (6) CENTURY IGLESIAS kicked in with sub-28 final 1/4s in both of his qualifiers. Don't be shocked if he blasts off the gate tonight. (4) THORNBURY has enough speed to go with these. He should take at least a share. Race 6: 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT Pick 5 (2) P L OPPORTUNITY is obviously much faster than she was at age 2 and Henry, who takes a return drive, should put her into play early vs. these; top call. (9) ARLANDA is the main danger coming off a 2nd-place Grassroots race; using. (1) DIEHARD SEELSTER had four starts this year with the trainer driving and now they switch to the barn's #1 catch driver Macdonald. You could make worse stabs than this one tonight. (4) WITH OR WITHOUT has enough speed to contend here but his gait issues are concerning. I'd demand a price. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 7: MILLARD FARMS TROTTING SERIES 1st Leg 2YO (7) WORLD AT WAR DEO handled the 9-hole like a seasoned pro on debut and justified his 3-5 closing odds by winning impressively. He gets the call to repeat here. (3) MR FRITTER comes off a sharp effort in a Gold event and he should be the main threat racing from close range. (4) TWIN B ARCHIE flashed home in 28 1/5, almost getting up despite tracking a slow early pace in a Grassroots event, and he can take a share here despite moving up to Golds. (1) TAKE COMMAND was flawless in victory racing over an off track and he is another that should be on the Super ticket tonight. Race 8: MILLARD FARMS TROTTING SERIES 1st Leg 2YO (2) HP MAESTRO comes off a solid two-move effort in a Grassroots race and he appears to face easier here. He is my clear top choice. (3) DEVEREUX SEELSTER raced well in both of his last two starts using completely different racing styles. He should be an Exacta factor tonight. (6) MAGICAL MAJOR didn't fire racing in the slop as the even money chalk. He can go better here and take a share. (1) DELGADO looks next best and he can work out a decent following trip from the rail to land in the Super. Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Fillies Pick 4 (6) VOLUPTUOUS draws perfectly as she shoots for the threepeat and she should convert at a very short price. (7) CL SPORTSEXTREME was dynamite winning a Grassroots race two starts back but she is at a tactical disadvantage here and completing the Exacta is likely the best result she can hope for. (9) JACKIEOFALLTRADES had equipment issues last time. She is capable of better and worth a look for the exotics at a price. (2) SPORTS DUCHESS often shares and she should be part of the Super tonight. Race 10: 4YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 (F&M $25,000) (4) AWORLDLY GOODTIMES found the Gold division too tough but his winning effort at this level two starts back makes him the one to beat tonight; top call. (9) THE PRINCE is razor-sharp and he had no issue with post 10 last time. He's hard to leave off multi-race tickets. (5) MODERN MASS should get good position leaving the gate and ride a good trip to a placing in the Tri. (8) NORTHERN BLIZZARD is worth a look for the exotics coming off an okay try in the Grassroots in Ottawa. Race 11: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES GRASSROOTS 3YO Fillies (5) ANDRA DAY has faced tougher all year so far and she should get aggressive here vs. these tonight; top call. (9) CYCLONE SISTER, last year's Grassroots champ, is capable of better and I imagine she will be leaving this time. She could provide some late Pick 4 value. (7) AMINI comes off an excellent try where she passed eight horses and fell just short despite having broken equipment. She is a contender, but I prefer to use her underneath. (8) JM SPORTSFAN was motoring late last time. She should close for another share vs. these. Race 12: CLAIMING $17,500 for NW $68,000 LT (5) LETS GET PICKLED has raced himself into top shape at Grand River and now he lands in a claimer where he should get a solid pace to chase. He gets my nod. (8) A BETTER MAN was good in this class last week and he fits well here. He should be right there again. (9) NOTAWORD N was facing better last time he raced here three starts back and he is sharp enough to contend despite drawing wide. Give him a look for late Pick 4 tickets. (10) FRONTIER CRUISE was sharp racing off the claim as expected but from post 10 he is likely relegated to taking a smaller share tonight. (7) MODERN WRITER gets Filion back and he is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics at a price.
