(4) CRAFT MADE looked good flying late for 2nd in his sophomore debut and he gets the nod to take his maiden win tonight. (2) OLIVIAS GOLDNUGGET also impressed winning a Grassroots leg in her debut, but she missed three weeks. She can win, but I wouldn’t take a short price here. (7) HOT FLASH KIMMY disappointed last week and looked a bit sideways at certain points in the lane. I’d watch for an equipment change on this one. (5) CARDIO MUSCLE is 0 for 17 and she will likely take another small share here.

Race 2: 3YO Fillies Grassroots Starters in 2023

(3) NORTHERN MAGENTA fired a big kicker breaking her maiden last week and she just missed in a Grassroots race the start before. She is in peak form and she’s the one to beat. (5) SOUTHWIND CHARDNAY is a must-use for me after taking the fastest mark in the race last week. (7) VALLEE DOREE was raced evenly last week, and you need only look at her race two starts back to see she is capable of better; price look. (4) SWEET CARRIE T should take a slice in this spot.

Race 3: 3YO Fillies NW $5,000 LT

(3) DEADLY DELIGHT goes for a hot barn and picks up the leading driver. I’ll side with her in a race with no standout. (4) DAKOTA SHADOW wasn’t beaten far in Grassroots company in a race she probably needed coming off a rest. She should be a big threat here. (2) LADYSMITH is another that likely needed her last start that can improve here. She should be in the exotics mix. (6) EASYBUTIMNOTCHEAP is a debutante that is capable of taking a slice in her first try for a purse.

Race 4: F&M NW2 or $40,000 Pick 4

(2) WEDDING DANCER raced well in her sophomore debut chasing an uncatchable 1-9 shot. I’ll side with her in a race where some of these are in between Sires Stakes engagements and intent is hard to predict. (8) SMASHIN RACQUETS closed in 26 3/5 from an impossible spot. She is capable if she gets put into the race tonight. (3) NORTHERM DEMI and (1) CLIMB THE POLE both drop out of Golds, and either is capable in a race that probably demands deep multi-race coverage.

Race 5: F&M 5YO and Younger NW $16,000 LT

It’s hard to see past (3) LADY GET LUCKY coming in off a narrow loss in a Gold event, but keep in mind she missed three weeks before you drop this month’s car payment on her. (9) DANCE WITH TABBY was close in a fast Grassroots race and I could see her blasting early and working out a good trip racing on or need the front here; using. (1) KUPER TROOPER fits well here and she is another that could do if she if she is close enough at the head of the lane. (8) GODIVA SHADOW GIRL flew late in her first start for Beaton, and she should take another share here.

Race 6: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,700 LT Pick 5

(3) TIMES LIKE THESE drops from NW2 to NW1 and gets Macdonald here. He should improve by default because this race will likely go four seconds slower than last week’s mile; top call. (7) DEALERS DELITE’s first-up effort wasn’t bad last week, and she fits well here; using. $65,000 Harrisburg buy (4) CONNOR is worth a look on debut here in a race with no standout. (5) LOOKS LIKE MAGIC should contend for a share adding Lasix tonight.

Race 7: F&M that have started for a purse of $9K or less in 1 of L4 AE: NW $1,850 L3 Pick 4

(5) STONEBRIDGE DRAMA paced a sub-55 back 1/2 last week to blow up the tote board and she gets the call to repeat off that sharp effort. (6) WILDCAT DELIGHT was locked in behind the choice with nowhere to race in the lane. She could do here if she gets clear sailing. (8) AHOY had a clear shot at the choice in the lane and she couldn’t bridge the gap. I’ll use her underneath here. (3) BUTTERFLY KISSES found room late and closed mildly. She is a good one to use underneath.

Race 8: F&M 5YO and Younger NW1 or $8,850 LT

(5) CAUGHTYOUPEAKING was simply 2nd best to a strong winner last week. She should be tough to beat in this field. (4) WARRAWEE YOKO faced much tougher last week, and she wasn’t beaten far. She should be the main threat here. (6) AZARIYA followed the choice home last week and finished 3rd. She can do the same here. (7) ODDS ON CHECKMATE should be good for a small share in this spot.

Race 9: POP UP SERIES NW $20,000 (F&M $25,000) in 2023

(6) VILLEFRANCHE AS raced evenly in a better field on Monday night. She gets the nod on the quick comeback against easier here. (5) WISHYOUDTELLME brings good form back from Kawartha Downs and he is fast enough to contend with these; using. (4) ROSIES WAR BONDS is another that comes back quick following a win at Grand River Monday night. These are tougher, I’ll use her underneath. (8) SOUTHWIND CAESER will likely close for a share vs. these.

Race 10: POP UP SERIES FINAL F&M NW $20,000 in 2023 AE: F&M that have raced for a claiming price of $15K or less in 2023

(9) THE IDEAL HUNTRESS and (5) DARKRSHADEOFPALE N have both been lights out in the preliminary legs of this series, but the nod goes to the former that has been faster. (1) PREMIER BETTINA will likely find a good trip with Macdonald driving and she has upset potential tonight in this final. (6) SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET rallied well last week, and she draws best here. She should be part of the High-5. (7) MANHATTAN NIGHT is another that should be rallying late to get into the High-5.
