Race 1: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 1 3YO TROTTING FILLIES **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(2) SMASHIN RACQUETS got smashed at the windows last week and she won easily. She has a good chance to repeat here as the likely favorite. (3) NORTHEN MAGENTA was over her head in the SBOA stakes. Her previous form makes her a contender tonight. (1) SOUTHWIND CHARDNAY could be best in here, but she has missed more than a month after racing well in the Spring series. I'll play to beat her tonight. (4) HEAVENS FURY should be good for another small share in this spot.

Race 2: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT
(4) SISTER ACT faced some good ones last year and if she is fully cranked for this sophomore debut, she should break her maiden. (7) IM ABOVE AVERAGE comes off two solid efforts and he stacks up well in this field; using. (8) COLTRANE DE VIE's win two starts back in Ottawa shows he is fast enough to go with these, and he is another to consider for early Pick 5 tickets. (10) SWEET WHISPER is a $39K Lexington buy that is worth a look for the exotics on debut for Team McNair.

Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 1 3YO TROTTING FILLIES
(3) MATCH MEIF YOU CAN returns to a 7-day rotation after missing a month between starts and she gets a huge driver change to Macdonald. She likely converts as the chalk. (6) SWEET CARRIE T shows some good Grassroots lines from last year and she was okay in her 2023 debut. The main concern is the sick scratch and time missed, but she is capable if sharp enough. (2) SHINY NEW PENNY is in easier here and sharp improvement is likely. She is the other one that I'll use on multi-race tickets. (1) CARDIO MUSCLE should sit another good trip here and tag along for a share.
Race 4: Pop Up Series F&M NW $20,000 in 2023 AE: F&M that have raced for a claiming price of $15,000 or less in 2023 - Pick 4
(7) AMERICAN TICKET takes a big drop here and she should dominate from the outset. (5) BABY BONITA was 3rd to the choice two starts back and she should complete the Exacta tonight. (4) SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET figures to sit a trip and land a share here. (8) CHARMBO BRIE produced the third-fastest winning time of the day in Clinton on Sunday, and she is worth a look for the exotics at a price in this field.
Race 5: 5YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT AE: NW $10,100 in 2023
(6) WARRAWEE YANG impressed beating similar and he draws better tonight; call to repeat. (4) BESHEAR also looked good breaking his maiden and he took a lot of action that night. He figures to be the main threat here. (1) SWEET DETRMINATION took a shuffle behind the choice and re-rallied. She is in the exotics mix again. (8) NEW RULES is fast enough to contend here but he shows a stale date. I'd demand a price.
Race 6: Pop Up Series F&M NW $20,000 in 2023 AE: F&M that have raced for a claiming price of $15,000 or less in 2023 - Pick 5
(7) SWEET ROCKIN GIA couldn't have won any easier racing off the Moreau claim and she faces similar tonight; call to repeat. (6) THE IDEAL HUNTRESS took the overland route in that race to finish 2nd. If she blasts and lands in the pocket tonight, I could see her turning the tables. She is the other one that I'll use on multi-race tickets. (2) SUNSHINEATTHEBEACH flew late last time and she could get a setup here with a few leavers signed on. She is another in with a shot. (5) ROCKINWITHCUSTARD is another that will likely leave hard to get position and she should be in the exotics mix.
Race 7: 5YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT AE: NW $10,100 in 2023
(7) FATHER DANIELS was impressive winning his sophomore debut with the trainer driving now a catch driver gets handed the lines tonight; call to repeat. (5) OVERPAYMENT should be the one to catch again after making a middle move and leading the rest of the mile here on 5/18. (8) MASSIAH qualified fast for the new barn. He is one to consider for deeper multi-race tickets. (4) STONEBRIDGE BOMBER, who blew up at Flamboro, can land in the exotics here if he stays flat.
Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 1 3YO TROTTING FILLIES - Pick 4
(2) NO ANGEL LIKE ME, last year's Grassroots final winner, lands in a good spot to start the season and she should pick up where she left off here. (7) OLIVIAS GOLDNUGGET is a debutante homebred related to several winners that attracts the leading driver and the late zip she showed in her qualifier on May 19th makes her a contender tonight. (1) SISTER TWISTER tried it first up in the fastest 1/4 of the race and that wasn't going to work. She is in with a shot tonight. (6) SAVANNAHS DREAM was good in the City of London series. She can land in the exotics tonight.
Race 9: F&M Claiming for NW $46,350 LT or NW $2,000 L3
(3) ONE LAST BET took a spin around the track vs. much tougher in her 2023 debut now she drops to a spot where she should get put into pay early; top call. (4) VENTIMATCHALATTE is in solid form, and she was Macdonald’s choice over (2) SWEETEST HUSTLE. She should be heard from late. The latter won immediately racing off the claim and she is another in with a shot here. (6) ODDS ON CHECKMATE is worth a look for the exotics dropping into a claimer tonight.

Race 10: 5YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT AE: NW $10,100 in 2023
I'll take a shot with (5) MARILYN here who has shown high speed racing on the Prairies. She shows a stale date, but I'll put my faith in trainer Barrington in this case. (7) DARKRSHADEOFPALE N raced well vs. a dropper last week and I like that she has been showing more gate speed recently; using. (8) PREMIER BETTINA is another that is in easier here that figures but I wonder if she will have too far to come at the 3/4 pole. (4) BRYDOWN BETTER BEA was a good 2nd on Monday in London, and she should be good for a small share against these.
Race 11: CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000
(6) MALVOLIO was claimed out of a start vs. many of these where he was trapped while loaded with pace for the entire stretch drive. He can win tonight with some better racing luck. (9) HELLO ROCKY just failed to hold on while keeping the choice buried now, he moves into a high-percentage barn via claim; using. (8) MISTER J R raced tough on the rim in that race, and he was an unlucky loser. He should be the main threat here. (2) POINTTO SWEET LOU beat all of the above with a great trip. He is yet another that could do in a contentious dash. (10) DRAGON FLY CREEK is on a roll, but these are much tougher; small share predicted.
