Top Pick Stats: 229 – 706 / $1133.60 (-$278.40) Best Bets: 38 – 66 / $123.20 (-$8.80) Spot Plays: 9 – 64 / $46.60 (-$81.40) Best Bet: HIGHLAND KISMET (5TH) Spot Play: KINNDER HOTBLOOD (8TH) Early Pick 5: 2,6,7/4,5/4,5,9/3,4,5,7/5 = $14.40 Late Pick 5: 4,6/5,9/2,6/2,4,5,7/3,6,8 = $19.20 Early Pick 4: 3,4,5,7/5/4,6/5,9 = $3.20 Late Pick 4: 5,9/2,6/2,4,5,7/3,6,8 = $9.60 Race 1: 3YO Fillies NW $5,000 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (6) DONTMESSWITHMOLLY took some action last week, but she was unfortunate to be sitting sixth in a race that featured a sub-55 back 1/2. She draws best here, and I’m going to assume that she will get a more aggressive steer this time; top call. (7) BEETHREEPO is a full sister to 1:49 1/5 pacer Bee Two Bee (26 wins, $426K), who will be familiar to Mohawk Park bettors because he took five of his wins at this track. This filly dropped more than five seconds in her second qualifier, and she can contend here at first asking. (2) ACEFORTYFOUR REBEL is from a dam that has produced nothing but winners – all 11 of her foals have made the races and won. This filly is worth a price look on debut tonight. (10) FEATHERSINTHEWIND, a $7,000 yearling buy, is a 1/2-sister to 11-time winner Uhtred, and she showed enough late speed in her qualifiers to suggest she can get a piece of this at first asking. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT This is a good spot for (4) EXCITING MIA, who shows some decent Grassroots lines last year and should have a great chance to break her maiden vs. these; top call. (5) TYMAL SPELLBOUND raced well when 2nd to a big chalk last week. She is the obvious threat. (7) TENACIOUS TOOTSIE showed a bit of promise at 2 and she adds Lasix for this sophomore debut. Driver Jamieson won five here on Monday night. (3) HP AGATHE changes barns for her sophomore season and his May 3rd qualifier was decent; using underneath. Race 3: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT (5) LE BEC FIN raced okay in the Spring Series and she fits better here in this maiden race. She could offer an overlaid price tonight and she gets the nod. (9) SEA GLASS started up too late in a race where the back 1/2 was paced in 54 4/5. She paced her own back 1/2 in 54-flat and she should get more aggressive in this second start back; using. (4) PASTA DELIGHT may go off as the chalk based on her 25 3/5 kicker paced in her qualifier on May 3rd. Beaton has been sending them ready and she is another that should threaten. (7) MATTHEWS RITA should have been able to finish the job last week. The fast time of that race sticks out, but the top two choices are better than the filly that beat her last week. I’ll use her underneath here. Race 4: 3YO NW $5,000 LT Pick 4 Debutant (7) HUNGRY HILL trotted a nice back 1/2 in his lone qualifier, and I’ll take a stab with the son of Kadabra at first asking. (4) FAST APPROACH’s 1:55 2/5 mile with a 27-flat kicker from last week sticks out and he is likely the one to beat here; using. (5) BEACH BANK took some money last week, but she blew up before the start. She can contend here if she stays trotting. $100K Lexington buy (3) SONIC BOOMER is another that broke in his debut that can be a threat if he stays flat this week. Race 5: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT (5) HIGHLAND KISMET crushed at 1-5 on debut and he should have no problem doubling up here. (1) MUSICAL RIDE was 3rd in the Superfinal when last seen and he qualified vs. some tough older trotters prepping for this 4-year-old debut. He should be the main threat. (2) KING FURY raced well in defeat last week, the winner tripped-out and sailed past late. He is in the exotics mix. (4) SPIROS made a nice late move in his sophomore debut, and he should be passing rivals again to take a share. Race 6: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT Pick 5 (6) BLARNEY CASTLE looked good beating maidens when patiently driven by Macdonald and he gets the call to repeat here. (4) STORMONT HAPPY DAY trotted the best race of his career last week and the fast-improving son of Muscle Mass is in with a decent chance here; using. (10) HILARIOUS ARCHIE adds Lasix for this sophomore debut, but he draws worst, and he will likely get a conservative drive. I’ll use him underneath. (8) ENCHANTED ANGEL has taken slices in half of her starts and she should be part of the Super or Tri facing easier tonight. Race 7: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT Pick 4 (9) JACK N ABS was Grand Circuit placed at 2 and this is a field that he should handle if he gets put into the race from his wide post. (5) THE CANAM BANKER was brave taking on Convoy Hall first-up in the Spring Series Final and he held for a share. He should be a threat here; using. (4) HALLIE INTHECLOUDS is consistently around the money. She should be part of the Tri here. (1) STAR HAIRDRESSER should sit another good trip here and take a share. Race 8: F&M NW2 or $30,000 LT (6) KINNDER HOTBLOOD comes in off a strong win in the Spring Series Final and she is strictly the one to beat here. (2) FALA has done nothing wrong in her first two starts and she figures to be the main threat to the choice. (7) NO ONE raced okay in her sophomore debut, and she can land in the Tri in this spot. (5) TEA LAKE beat a weak field to finally break her maiden. I’ll use her underneath. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: F&M 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT (2) ELECTRIC JANE managed to stay flat, and she raced okay in her sophomore debut; now she adds Lasix. She fits well here, and she is in with a decent chance. (7) MASS CARA tried the SBOA and she was in a bit over her head. This is a better spot for her, and she gets Henry back, so she will likely get an aggressive steer this time. (4) CLEVELAND HERSHEY is a 1/2 to two that have won 19 and 20 races, respectively, and she is worth a look for the exotics at a price on debut. (5) SHREW is a 1/2 to local 17-time winner Spartan General. Her lone qualifier was okay, and she is another price possibility. Race 10: F&M CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 This is a good betting race to end the multi-race tickets. (3) WATCH HER DEWITT paced a 55-flat back 1/2 in a good effort and she can win here if she can get into contention earlier in the race. I’ll give her the nod. (8) BLUE GLAMBER won as expected racing off the Barrington claim, and she will likely be the one to catch again tonight. She’s hard to leave off late multi-race tickets. (6) HILLBILLY JET moves from the worst post to the best one and she is another that is in with a good shot here. (1) DEL DIGGITY raced twice in three days and produced strong efforts in each start. She is in the exotics mix as always. (7) GREYSTONE TREASURE is always in the mix because of her good tactical speed but I prefer to use her underneath.
