Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME.
(6) KENOGAMI MATT was forced to qualify after making breaks in his first two pari-mutuel starts. He was in a good spot in his most recent try and was likely going to get a good piece, but jumped it off. He added trotting hopples in his recent qualifying try and got around cleanly in that effort. He draws pp6 and retains Louis-Philippe Roy, who had his choice over another main contender in this contest. I’ll give him the call and hope he stays to task this evening. (4) ANGELIC was aggressively handled in his latest and looked home and cool in that contest; that was until the eventual winner was able to flash some good trot late to pick him off at the line. He draws well here and is inching closer to a victory, making him a contender. (2) GREEN MANS JOY is coming off a runner up effort where he was picked off by a sharp winner. He might have luck against this group with a similar trip, but is one I’d opt to play against. (5) LONG LEGS has failed to hit the board in seven career tries. She draws well in this spot and so long as she stays trotting, she can land somewhere on the ticket.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME.
(7) SASSAFRAS got shuffled to last in her most recent contest, but flashed some good pace when she got angled out for the stretch drive. She didn’t hit the board in that contest, but that was the best she’s looked this year and it could be an indication that she’s ready for a good effort here. (1) DEDICATION was a dead-heat winner in her career debut. She got towed into the race and worked out a nice trip, and was able to avoid a breaker at the end of the lane to secure the victory. She will be the favorite here and will have every opportunity to double up. (3) AMERICAN STARLIGHT was in a winning spot in her latest and had to go wide turning for home as a result of the horse who towed her into it making a miscue at the head of the lane, scattering a few rivals. She has hit the board in 2 of her last 4 and she can get a good piece here, too. (6) FLUID hasn’t hit the board in 3 starts in 2025. She draws the winningest post here at WEG and can hit the ticket.
Race 3: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $78,500 LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(4) ROCHESTER FLASH has put together back-to-back, good efforts here on the big track, which resulted in a win in his most recent. He left out aggressively and never left the rail until the stretch drive and motored past the pace setter to score. He draws well and should be tough to beat in this spot. (6) JIMMY WHISPERS was leading for most of the way before getting picked off by the choice. He has been 2nd eight times in 17 starts and he will be a player for a strong piece yet again. (8) BRUDON hasn’t hit the board in eight starts this year. He will now race for trainer Carmen Auciello, who’s had this guy in his barn before, and will now race on Lasix. He’s one to monitor. (9) ON TIME DELIVERY has hit the board in 5 of his last 6 tries, and should be good for a piece despite drawing the outside.
Race 4: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME.
(3) MCJAZZ broke her maiden in her latest at Flamboro in what was a strong effort. She came first up a long way in that affair and was under tight lines to driver/trainer/owner Dan O’Brian. She will step up and try the big track here, but I think she can take another step forward here. (2) TEMPTING was driving on from pp10 in her latest and was behind a rival who took a bad step and interfered with her, taking her out of that contest early. She hasn’t hit the board in three lifetime starts, but has flashed good speed late in the mile in her two starts prior. She is a contender here and will be given every opportunity this evening. (1) WHO ARE YOU was a distant 2nd in her latest to a strong winner. She has hit the board in both her starts this year and will have every chance to get a good piece yet again. (7) YS FLOWERNUMBERTEN was first over and cleared to the lead as they were turning for home. She took a bad step and scattered a few of her rivals to finish last. She hit the board in 4 starts prior and can get a good piece, so long as she paces.
Race 5: NW $15,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000
(8) SOUTHWIND CASPIAN was aggressively handled in his most recent contest and was out trotted late by a rival who was a strong winner in his debut. He draws further outside but will find the best spot for him to break his maiden, and he’ll be tough to go against here. (4) P L STEVIE will be making her career debut off a pair of qualifiers. She was a winner in her most recent and she inherited the lead when the pace setter jumped it off, turning for home. She trotted nicely under no urging from Chris Christoforou despite drifting wide, but I need to see one. (3) POPPIN BOTTLES didn’t hit the board in his sophomore debut. He can take a step forward in start number two and can grab a share. (9) HAPPY ANGEL was 2nd in his most recent and he can land on the ticket here.
Race 6: FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME.
(2) P L SAPPHIRE broke her maiden in her first start of 2025, when she converted comfortably off a pocket trip. She was under tight lines and displayed good body language, and I’ll give her the nod to double up, in what is a tougher spot here.( 6) D A DREAM GIRL was a solid 4th in her latest, in what was her first try in nw2. She finished 4th behind a trio of fillies who will be competing in the SBOA Final this weekend, and she should be a major player here; using. (9) OCEANVIEW RUMOURS will make her 3YO debut off a pair of qualifiers. She was picked off by a rival who raced vs. Grand Circuit company but this filly still trotted well in the lane. She draws outside but can be a big factor with the right trip. (1) IVY LYNN hasn’t hit the board in 4 starts as a 3YO. She draws the rail and should be competitive in vs. this group if she’s anything close to her best.
Race 7: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $88,000) LIFETIME.
(6) SUPERIOR DELIGHT found her way back in the win column at this class when she popped the pocket and opened up a sizable lead to score. She draws well and should have every opportunity to reign victorious for the second week in a row. (1) GRAND CIRCUIT was moving well late in the mile and just missed for 2nd. She can be a threat if she’s closer, and I’ll use her in the event of an upset. (7) ALLSMOKEANDMIRRORS fended off the one above to be 2nd. She will need to find more to find the winner’s circle, but has hit the board in two starts since adding Lasix. (5) MY LAST KISS worked out a 2nd over trip in her latest and had nothing to offer. She draws well, but is tough to like for anything but a share.
Race 8: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000.
(3) TAMARA HANOVER wasn’t able to get away in a good spot off the rail, but motored home late to be 3rd. She has finished up her miles extremely well over her last two tries and has stayed pacing throughout. She will be tough to fend off if she can get away closer, and she’s one I’ll give top billing to here. (4) DOLLYDAYDREAM was a comfortable winner in her latest. She draws well and has been sharp coming in, and will have every opportunity to double up. (7) WIFEY SAID SO switched up tactics in her latest when she took back to last. She didn’t look comfortable in that affair in a 5th place effort, and can be a threat if she reverts back to being aggressively handled. (1) CORA CORA CORA will make her first start in almost one month and will not race for new trainer Malik Smith. She is tough to love this evening, but is one worth monitoring for next time.

Race 9: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $50,500) LIFETIME.
(7) JOHNSTOWN JET will make his 3rd start for new trainer Tess Waxman. He was a dominant winner in a $20k condition claimer at Flamboro, and just got picked off in his latest at Flamboro. He was driven by Isaac Waxman in that contest and will now pick up the services of JR Plante, who should give this guy every chance this evening; top call. (5) STEELWHEEL HANOVER has been a winner in two consecutive starts. He’s razor sharp and will be the one to beat here. (2) ABOVEMYPAYGRADE closed nicely in his latest but was still a distant 2nd to the one above. He should be good for another piece here. (1) DIAMOND RYDER grabbed the show spot in his latest and will have every chance to hit the ticket here.
Race 10: FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME.
(7) CLARISSA W is coming off a pair of qualifiers as she gears up for her sophomore debut. Her most recent prep was a strong one in a winning effort, and this filly took on stakes company a season ago. She should be able to find the winner’s circle vs. this group and gets top billing here. (2) YS QUEEN BETH closed nicely in her latest to get up for the maiden-breaking score. She steps up vs. tougher company but can grab a good piece. (9) BEERSNSUNSHINE DEO rallied to be 3rd in her latest. She draws outside but should have every opportunity to close for a share this evening. (4) LISBON was scratched-sick in her latest and will come into this contest having not raced in three weeks. She has 3 wins in four tries but could need a start here. (5) IBELIEVEINANGELS failed to hit the board in her first start as a 3YO. She draws well and should take a step forward here. She can grab a share.
