Top Pick Stats: 62/210 (-$69.40) Best Bets: 6/21 (-$16.70) Spot Plays: 3/21 (-$16.90) Best Bet: DIRTY LIL PIGLET (RACE 8) Spot Play: FILM AT ELEVEN (RACE 4) Early Pick 5: 7 / 4,5,7 / 1,4,7,8 / 6 / 6,9 = $4.80 Late Pick 5: 2,5,6 / 2,4,6 / 6 / 5,7,8 / 2 = $5.40 Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. (7) CHICAGO HALL will be making his 3-year-old debut after a freshman campaign that saw him go winless in 10 tries. This son of Muscle Mass is coming into this contest off a qualifier which saw him stay snug on a rival’s helmet until halfway down the lane, where he showed good trot to score the victory. I’ll give him the nod to break his maiden this evening off a strong prep. (6) RITCHIE RICH will be making his first start of 2025 and will make his first appearance on the big track. He got away towards the back of the pack in his lone qualifying prep, but showed good trot late in the mile under tight lines to reinsman Todd Ratchford. He has removed the trotting hopples to kick off his sophomore campaign and is one we shouldn’t take lightly. (1) FISHERMANS BLUES has hit the board in his last two tries and is one that has shown improvement in every start. He draws the rail this evening and has a fitness edge over the two above, but is one I’ll slot in for only a share. (5) P C CHATTAHOOCHEE is gearing up for his second start of his career and his first of 2025 of a single qualifier. He never left the rail in that morning prep and didn’t have much trot when asked to go forward. He’s one that can hit the ticket in this outing. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2:  FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $60,000 (OS $75,000) LIFETIME. (4) QUIET ASSURANCES is coming off a dominant score at Western Fair and got picked off to be 2nd at this level two starts back. She has been no worse than 2nd over her last four starts and should be brimming with confidence, and was Tyler Borth’s choice over another main contender in this contest. (5) FOX VALLEY TATUM was never a factor in her latest vs. tougher company. She is back at this level where she has put forth a 1st and 2nd place effort respectively, and is one of the contenders. (7) ALLSMOKEANDMIRRORS didn’t put forth a strong showing in her latest vs. tougher company. She is back in this condition claimer where she was a winner two starts back and should be given every opportunity. (6) MY LAST KISS sprouted wings in the stretch in her latest to score the victory. She draws well and is one that races better with a target to chase, but this is a tougher group she takes on this evening. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. (4) WHITE IGNITE will make her career debut off a pair of strong qualifiers. This daughter of Alarm Detector blew past the pace setter after a move up the backside and stayed trotting well throughout to score. I like what I saw in those morning preps and this is one I’ll give top honors to. (1) P L SRIRACHAA will make just his second start of his career off a 6th place qualifying try. McClure stayed tight on a rival’s helmet in that morning prep, one who couldn’t keep up to the rest of the pack, and the driver didn’t show him racetrack until just before the line. He’s intriguing here.  (8) ALL VALLEY didn’t have much to offer after leaving out in a good spot last time out. I’m willing to forgive that effort based on what I saw in his qualifiers and is one I’ll be using in pick 5’s. (7) PAHOKEE displayed some good trot late in the mile last time out and is one that merits respect off that effort. Race 4:  FILLIES & MARES NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. (6) FILM AT ELEVEN cruised to an easy, maiden-breaking score in her latest, despite having to go a first-over journey in that outing. She has shown ability in limited starts throughout her career, but has been her own worst enemy in most of those efforts. She moves up to a NW2 against some rivals who are sharp, but is one I’ll go back to here as a double-up candidate. (2) ROXIE HART will be gearing up for her 2025 debut off a sharp 2nd-place qualifying effort. She was trotting well late in that mile and is one that looks good enough for a solid effort here despite just one prep. (3) KADIDDLE never left the rail in her latest effort but was moving the best of them all in that outing. She can grab a very big piece in this race, so long as she’s able to work out a cleaner trip. (4) BRIGHT GREEN trotted well to be second in her first start of 2024. She should have every opportunity to hit the ticket once again. Race 5: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $42,750 LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. NW $1,600 LAST 5 STARTS. (6) RUSTYS BETT is coming off a winning qualifier where he came a long way first-over to score. He was still under a good hold to Trevor Henry in doing so, and is tough to look past in here off that morning prep. He shows a pair of wins at this level on his recent lines and should be tough if he can replicate that morning prep. (9) LANESIDE SPORTSTAR has hit the show spot in three straight tries. He has been aggressively handled in his last two tries and might be better suited for a stalking trip; using. (4) JOHNSTOWN JET hasn’t hit the board in his last three tries, but is capable of a good effort at this level when at his best. (3) FLYING FOR TREV has failed to hit the board in four straight tries. He draws inside and can land on the ticket. Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME. (5) WINDSOR PATTY got away towards the back of the pack in her latest outing at WEG, but finished up very willingly to be 4th in that contest. She doesn’t always pace the smoothest, but is one that could be tough to fend off if she’s close to the action. Daryl Thiessen will pick up the drive this evening, who has already guided her to a win at Flamboro this year. (6) WICKED CRAVING worked out a two-hole trip in her latest and lacked room late in the stretch. She angled to the outside and was able to finish 4th in her first start of 2025. She draws well this evening and picks up the services of Jody Jamieson, and we’d expect this one to be summoned off the gate early; using. (2) SADIES DELIGHT was aggressively handled in her latest at a big number. She hung around to be 3rd in that contest and should be even tighter in her 2nd start back. (4) GOONED AGAIN was 2nd to a rival who was very strong. She comes out of the same race as a few of these rivals and should be a contender, but is one I’ll look to play against this evening. Race 7:  5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. (4) MODELO GOLD was a very strong 2nd in his latest outing. He was stuck behind a rival who was failing to advance and trotted home very well for the 2nd consecutive week to pick up a very good piece. He draws well and should have every chance to break his maiden this evening. (6) HOUSTON SEELSTER is coming off a tough trip in his sophomore debut from pp10. He draws the middle of the gate and it should be all systems go this evening. (2) FRENCHMONI HANOVER is coming off a very encouraging effort in his latest in a 3rd place finish. He trotted the lane very well and could find his way to the winner’s circle with the right trip this evening. (5) EXQUISITE TASTE will make her 2025 debut off a 3rd place qualifying try. She was following the eventual winner and stayed behind her. I would’ve liked to see her be tighter on that rival’s helmet but she is one I’ll tab as a horse who can land somewhere on the ticket. Race 8: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (6) DIRTY LIL PIGLET is coming off a very good 2nd-place outing at Flamboro. He had to start from the second-tier in that event and still put forth a strong showing despite being first-up and putting in steps on the turn. It was a remarkable effort and he’s back in the Des Tackoor barn, where he is a perfect 1-1. (5) BRING YOUR FIRE is coming off a 4th place effort in his latest. He will make his 2nd start for a hot barn and merits respect. (4) LETS GET PICKLED popped the pocket before the final turn in his latest effort at Flamboro and only mustered a 3rd. He draws well and will likely be aggressively handled, but is one I’ll peg underneath. (3) BIG BULLY is coming off three straight 2nd place finishes and is one that will have every opportunity to hit the ticket. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. (5) TAMARA HANOVER took support to the tune of 4/5 in her latest effort vs. tougher company at London. She floated off the gate and put in steps as they approached that first turn and was out of it early. She returns to the big track where she was a winner at this level two back, and will make her 2nd start for new trainer Cameron McQueen. She picks up James MacDonald this evening and is our top selection. (8) WIFEY SAID SO worked out a two-hole trip to the choice in her latest and angled out halfway down the lane. She took her shot and ran out of racetrack to be a strong 2nd. She draws outside in this field of eight but is one that has been a force to be reckoned with at this class; using. (7) TELLS BELLS has been no worse than 2nd in her last 5 tries, with three of those efforts being wins. She was claimed in her most recent win and will now race for the Tyler Moore barn. She is sharp and merits respect. (3) DOLLYDAYDREAM has hit the board in 4 of her last 5 tries, and ships back to the big track this evening. She draws well and can grab a piece with the right trip. Race 10: CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,050 LAST 5 STARTS. (2) PASSIONATE PRINCE has hit the board in three straight tries and is coming off a 2nd place effort in his latest. He was first-over in that contest and got picked off by rival who tripped out and was dropping in class. He gets the nod from Tyler Borth over another rival in this contest and gets top billing. (3) RAYS KREDIT made a miscue in his latest try at Flamboro. He is back on the big track where he rallied nicely to be 6th after drawing pp10, and is one that will be a threat if he’s within striking distance turning for home. (5) BETTORHOLDONTIGHT made a bobble at Flamboro in his latest. He was 3rd at this level here two starts back and can get a big piece with the right trip. (9) BETTOR THAN PRIDE was 3rd at this level two starts back. He draws outside but can grab a piece.  (4) OPULENT DRAGON was 2nd in his recent try at Flamboro. He hasn’t fared too well on the big track but is one that can hit the ticket.
