Top Pick Stats: 198 - 620 / $971.80 (-$268.20) Best Bets: 33 - 58 / $100.40 (-$15.60) Spot Plays: 8 - 57 / $35.10 (-$79.90) Best Bet: BLUE GLAMBER (9TH) Spot Play: VALUABLE MISS (4TH) Early Pick 5: 1,9,10/3,9/6,7/2,4,8/2,4,8 = $21.60 Late Pick 5: 4,6,7/6,7/2,7/2,7/3,4,6,7,10 = $24 Early Pick 4: 2,4,8/2,4,8/4,6,7/6,7 = $10.80 Late Pick 4: 6,7/2,7/2,7/3,4,6,7,10 = $8 Race 1: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** (1) MASSTERCRAFT has Grand Circuit and Gold lines at two and he qualified well for this sophomore debut. This is a good spot for him to break his maiden in his 10th start. (10) HP RUN DETECTOR improved in his past two starts and he should offer a good price here starting from the widest post; using. (9) MUSCLE DETECTOR was good in the two of three starts where he stayed flat at two. He is another possibility for the early Pick 5. (4) GRENVILLE HEAVEN was a winner at two and he qualified decently for this first start at three. He should be good for a share here. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 3YO colts and geldings NW $5,000 LT (3) VINCENDI BLUE CHIP looked like a winner last week until a more experienced rival exploded down the middle of the track. He has a great chance to break his maiden here. $25,000 London sale graduate (9) MR COMMODORE raced well twice in qualifiers over off tracks. He could upset at first asking here. (6) WATCHING SUNSET showed some promise in spots last year but he never put it all together. He can take a share here in his sophomore debut. (1) MEANER JEANER took all the money on debut, but he showed no gate speed. Moving from the best post to the tricky rail post here makes him a fade for me. Race 3: F&M 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT $375,000 yearling (7) FALA was in no hurry on debut last week and she closed well to get 2nd in a paceless race. She can win here if the intent is there. (6) NO NEED FOR ALARM is another that closed nicely despite chasing slow fractions. She should be the main threat here if she lays a bit closer to the front. (10) MASS CARA was Gold placed at two and she qualified well on 4/19. She can be an exotics factor here if she gets put into the race from the widest post. (2) BEACH BANK will likely flash speed and stick around for a share in this spot. Race 4: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT - Pick 4 (4) VALUABLE MISS had an excellent rookie campaign, and she looks ready to fire in this first start at three; top call. (8) ELEGANT RESOLVE is another filly that was decent at two and her qualifier for this racing in the slop on 4/19 was good. Bax tends to send them ready and Macdonald drives. She would be no surprise here. (2) MRSTERY DEAL was first up in a tough spot in his sophomore debut. He has a chance to upset here if he gets a slightly better trip; using. (1) HER CURRENCY, a good Grassroots filly at two, adds Lasix for this sophomore debut and she should get a share. Race 5: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT (8) ALRITEALRITEALRITE faced some tough colts last year and this is one that I could see blasting to the front and playing 'come and catch me' at a square price here. He could be the value play in the early multi-race bets. (4) BET ON SUNSHINE gets needed post relief after closing well from post 10 and Macdonald sticks. He has a decent shot in here. (2) MATTS BANK is another that flew home last week, and he has raced well in all four of his starts. He is another obvious contender, but I wonder if he will come too late again. (7) DAB OCOLOR raced decently from post 9 last time and his speed should play well here. He is another in with a chance.   Race 6: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT - Pick 5 (6) FAST APPROACH was decent in his debut, and he draws best for this second start. I’ll give him a slight nod here. $53,000 London Sale graduate (7) BLARNEY CASTLE is a 1/2 to 56-time winner Rock Of Cashel ($972K, 1:51 3/5 M) who was asked for little in his lone qualifier. The tote board might provide some clues here. (4) SCINTILLATING TOM qualified well enough this spring to suggest he will be a threat at first asking here; using. (1) DUNVEGAN CASH finished 3rd in three of four starts and he is a good one to use underneath. Race 7: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT - Pick 4 (7) SALEM SEELSTER really put it all together at the end of last season and he was winning the Grassroots championship when last seen. I’ll give him the nod over obvious contender (6) SOAR HIGHER, who was Gold placed at two and signaled readiness in his qualifier on 4/19. (3) VIKTORY BLUE CHIP’s sophomore debut was decent, and he can take a slice in this spot. (1) VIMY RIDGE VENTI has been trotting good final quarters. He can close for a small share here. Race 8: F&M CLM $8,000 (7) DEL DIGGITY was in to go at London Tuesday night at press time. She could take two wins in two days assuming she goes in both. (2) PROUD OF MY ROOTS gets her nose back on the gate tonight and I see Borth sending her and trying to go right down the road; using. (4) HIGH ROLLING A has not finished worse than 4th in 11 starts for Waxman since last November. She should be in the money here. (3) ITALIA SEELSTER will likely flash speed in this spot, and she can hang around for a small share. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: F&M CLM $10,000 to $12,000 (7) BLUE GLAMBER comes in hot for a barn that has been on a roll recently and she is the one to catch and beat here. (2) DARKRSHADEOFPALE N drops after being in a tough spot chasing a runaway leader that set some wild fractions. She could rebound racing for a tag here. (1) DOLLYDAYDREAM comes in off a strong first up win at Flamboro on Sunday night, but this is tougher. I’ll use her underneath. (6) HILLBILLY JET was a winner last time Macdonald drove, but she tends to be better racing in the $8,000 claimer; small share predicted here. Race 10: CLM $20,000 for NW $59,500 LT (10) TACTICAL SEELSTER was trapped in the pocket in the lane until it was too late, and he fell a stride short of (3) RJS SUPERFREAK. I’ll side with the former expecting a good price from post 10 but use both on late multi-race tickets. (6) LETS GET ROCKED did all the work Monday night but he couldn’t hold off a tripped-out rival that was taking an eighth straight win. He is worth a look at a price here. (7) D A LUNCHBOX, Macdonald’s choice of many in here, is racing well every week and he is another in with a shot in a race with several possibilities. (4) KYLES ART dug in to hold off a flying closer on 4/11. He is yet another that could do here with the right trip.
