(2) SONAR SEELSTER trotted the fastest final 1/4 of her career last week while racing in the slop and she took checks in some OSS Gold races last year. I’ll take a shot with her here expecting a solid price. Determination unveils $375,000 Lexington buy (3) FALA here in a spot where she has a decent chance at first asking but she will probably get over bet. I’d be careful to not take too short of a price. (7) C KAN TROT is 0-for-8 but she is sure-gaited and comes in off two solid efforts. She will win soon, maybe tonight. (6) CALLIXTUS HANOVER can contend, but he needs a clean line after breaking last week and will likely be driven carefully; using underneath.

Race 2: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT AE: N/A $1,310 P/S in 2023/24

(4) P L QUINELLA improved sharply last week when starting from the 10-hole at 66-1 racing in the slop. He loses J Mac but that will help keep his price viable; top call. (5) ALEXANDER, a Grassroots winner last year, is sent out by Bax, who typically has them ready to fire. J Mac chose him over the choice, and he is an obvious contender here. (8) SANDOON got a start in vs. a decent NW3 field at Flamboro and he can improve here; price look. (3) QUICK FIX tripped-out to beat maidens. I prefer to use him underneath.

Race 3: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT AE: 3YO NW $1,250 L5

(8) LOVE THOSE LEGS has Gold lines from last year and this is a good spot to kick off her sophomore campaign. She can break her maiden if she doesn’t get too far back tonight. I thought (4) TEA LAKE raced well from a wide post in her 2024 debut. She draws better now, and she will likely be the one to catch. (6) LOOKS LIKE AMUSCLE was beaten only two lengths from post 10 and now he draws best. He is another to consider for the early Pick 5. (3) HP RUN DETECTOR has improved in each start and he can take another slice here.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES PACE: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES 2nd Leg Pick 4

(9) RIGHT MATCH paced two big miles in a row and showed she can take air and keep grinding. I think she offers value here starting from the widest post in a very competitive field. (6) LIGHTNING LIZZIE has been dominant in her two wins and she is the one to beat drawing best here. (2) MARGOSGOTTHECARGO no doubt needed last week’s start, but she is no lock in here and I imagine she will get over bet; your call. (1) ALWAYS A CATCH is consistently around the money and she should be an exotics factor again.

Race 5: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT

(2) BETTHEBEACH YANKEE closed a ton of ground late in the mile in his 2024 debut and he draws inside now. That good tightener should have him all set now; top call. (3) LIEGE SEELSTER was a sharp winner in his 2024 debut, and he gets the top driver now. He looks faster this year and he should be the main threat to the choice. (9) DAB OCOLOR kicked home well in both starts this year and he should be in the exotics mix. (6) MEANER JEANER qualified well on 4/8. He is worth a look for the bottom of the Tri and Super.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRED SPRING SERIES TROT: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES 2nd Leg Pick 5

(2) KINNDER HOTBLOOD will be popular at the windows getting the leading driver after trotting a good mile with the trainer in the bike to kick off 2024. She will likely be hard to fend off if she stays flat. (5) ALL OUT MARILYN, 2nd to the hot filly Lexus Angel last week, will likely look to wire this race and she will likely be the one to catch. (1) ENCHANTED ANGEL is likely to sit another good following trip and land a share. (7) RESOLUTE LADY is capable of better than she showed last week. Consider her at a price for the exotics.

Race 7: Claiming $20,000 for NW $50,000 LT Pick 4

(6) TACTICAL SEELSTER was used hard from a wide post racing in the slop last week and now he draws best. He should get a better trip here starting from the best post; top call. (1) RJS SUPERFREAK will likely be better here racing for a tag. He is the other one that I’ll use on multi-race tickets. (3) D A LUNCHBOX couldn’t chase down the 3-5 favorite at Flamboro but he will probably have the same issue here trying to get past the choice. I’ll use him underneath. (2) TWO FOR TRIPPING should sit a trip and take another share.

Race 8: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT AE: 3YO NW $1,250 L5

This is a good spot for (5) MYFRIENDJOSE who just finished 2nd to a $500,000 Determination debutant. I think Filion gets more aggressive with him tonight. $50,000 Walner debutant (7) FAST APPROACH lands in a good spot for this initial start and his two qualifiers are decent enough to suggest that he can contend at first asking; using. 0-for-19 (3) FASHION CONTENDER took lots of action last week, got a good trip, and didn’t advance on the cover of the eventual winner. I’ll play to beat him here. (6) EMERGENCY LANDING can close for a small share here if he stays flat.

Race 9: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $25,000 LT AE: N/A $1,310 P/S in 2023/24

(7) LMC MR SQUISHY just jogged at this level last week and this spot doesn’t look any tougher; call to repeat. (4) LOOKSLIKAGOODFELLA takes a massive class drop here and he could completely reverse his form facing these; price look for the multis. (1) MRSTERY DEAL looks primed for a good sophomore season and Ratchford drove him to both qualifying wins. He is another that can take this if the intent is there. (5) READY FOR LANDING should share here if he stays flat.

Race 10: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT

(10) BET ON SUNSHINE produced a big late kick to just miss in his 2024 debut. Thinking Macdonald will have him in striking range at the 3/4 pole, I’ll make him my top pick. (8) VINCENDI BLUE CHIP was a bit one-paced in his debut. He should be tighter now and he can contend with that experience under his belt. (6) QUENTIN QUARANTINO raced tough from a wide post, and he is another to consider moving to the best post tonight. (5) ERINWOOD BIGRIG was better last week, and he can take another share here racing from close range. (2) RUSTYS BETT is another that improved last week that can land in the exotics.
