(4) DEALIN N DIAMONDS will make her third start of the year and will debut for Nick Gallucci in this event. She made miscues in her two starts prior but qualified with trotting hopples, which produced a strong effort in that morning prep with James MacDonald. She looks poised to take on this group after that effort and gets top billing at what will be a short number. (6) NUMERO DIX appeared to be in a perfect striking spot as they were read to turn for home in his most recent and unfortunately fell down. He put forth a winning qualifier in preparation for this contest and is one of the main contenders, so long as he trots. (7) FILLY BOO got picked off late in the mile to be 2nd in that effort. She has shown improvement and seems to be trending in the right direction; she can grab a piece. (3) JAYPORT MUSCLE UP is coming off a 3rd-place effort in his second lifetime start and can grab a share here tonight.

Race 2: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS.

(5) BET NINETEEN was aggressively handled from post 10 in his most recent and yielded to a pocket trip. He was stuck behind a firing rival and paced evenly to be 3rd. He draws much better this evening and should be given every chance at a winning trip this evening. (1) TUF COOPER got a clean trip and was unable to get to a strong winner, who scored first-over. He was 2nd-best of the rest and should be the one to beat in this contest. (7) RAISING SAND was a distant 2nd in his most recent contest and should be good enough to grab a piece in here. (6) ARTISTIC PICK is winless in five tries in the year but will have every chance to hit the ticket.

Race 3: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS.

(1) AK BLACK BADGER has picked up shares over her last two tries. She was taking on a pair of tougher $8000 claimers in those tries and should appreciate the company she keeps in here tonight. (6) SMALLTOWN BAD GIRL tipped three-wide at Landon on the backside in what appeared to be a winning move, but couldn’t go by the pace-setter in a 3rd place effort. (3) GYPSY MERLOT was a winner on 2/2 in her first start off the claim for owner/trainer Brett and Ron Macdonald. She should be confident off that score and will have every chance here. (5) FIRST FILLY CHIP hasn’t hit the board in seven tries this year; she will pick up the services of JMac this evening and draws well here this evening. She can grab a share.

Race 4: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS.

(6) FLYING ART A raced tough in defeat in his most recent try in what was his first pari-mutuel start since 12/19. He will make his second start since being claimed by Shayne Barrington and looks poised for a big effort here. (2) KATIES BET went a trip around the track in his most latest after hailing from the outside. He draws better, and can show improvement as he makes his 2nd start for new trainer Mike Bishop. (7) GIDDY UP MAX was never in contention with an outside draw and picked up a share. He does his best work late and will need some pace to chase to be a real threat. (3) SILVER BEAST is better than what he showed in his most recent try, and could show improvement against this group.

Race 5: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $25,000 (OS $32,500) LIFETIME.

(1) LANESIDE SPORTSTAR missed out by a head in his latest and got picked off by a rival who got up in the last stride. He’s been racing well and seems to be trending in the right direction vs. this group. (9) HES STILL WATCHING grabbed a share in his latest and wasn’t much of a factor. He was 2nd in this spot two starts back and has proven he’s capable of a good showing here. (3) ROBBY LOVE DAT closed well from 9th to round out the super in his latest. He has an inside draw and should have a chance with the right trip. (6) JOHNSTOWN JET didn’t fire whatsoever in his latest but was a dominant winner at this level two back. Which one shows up?

Race 6: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS.

(4) GOLDIES ROCKIN was a dominant winner in her most recent at London in a gate to wire score. She’ll be aggressively handled in this spot and could prove tough to catch. (5) JAZZVILLE sat a favorable trip but didn’t have much to offer. She draws well and should be aggressively handled in this spot, which should prove valuable. (1) DEL DIGGITY loves to do her best work late in the mile of as late and should have plenty of speed to chase in here. (2) VELOCITY IMPETUOUS has been a runner up finisher in 2 of her last 3 tries and will try the big track this evening. She can grab a piece.

Race 7: CLAIMING $20,000 FOR NW $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME.

(4) CENTURY JAZZ has hit the board in 3 of his last 5 tries and draws well for this contest. He should be aggressively handled here and can work out a winning trip. (2) ALWAYS BE MELMAN closed late to round out the super; he draws inside and will have plenty of speed to chase and will be heard from late. (7) JUST ASK JOE tired late and disappointed as the favorite. He is James choice of 3 in this contest and might improve with a helmet to chase. (6) JIMMY WHIPSERS was 2nd in his latest off a perfect trip. He should be aggressively handled yet again and will be given every chance.

Race 8: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS.

(4) FERN HILL BREEZE is coming off a dominant score in his most recent try at Flamboro and enters this Pop-up Series sharp. He draws inside and gets top billing to double up. (2) ODDS ON CARAMEL has hit the board once in 6 tries this year but was first up in his latest. He can improve in this spot. (3) WIZARD OF BODZ put forth a nice, sweeping effort at London and might be able to enjoy the longer stretch this evening. (1) STREET ART Hasn’t hit the board in 2 starts this year but has shown ability here in the past.

Race 9: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $4,000 LAST 5 STARTS.

(2) HANDBAGOFCHEEZIES has hit the board in 3 straight tries in solid efforts. She loves a target to chase and she should be able to find someone to follow here in this start in what I feel is a perfect spot. (5) HORIZON SEELSTER hasn’t hit the board all season long but picks up Tyler Borth here and could be primed for a wake up. (6) MY ONLY SUNSHINE comes off a pair of lackluster tries but draws well and should be handled aggressively. (1) RAMBARAN ROSE finished 3rd in her most recent try and will have every chance to hit the ticket.

Race 10: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000.

(8) DAY TRADER has been very sharp in winning two straight for Shayne Barrington and gets top honors here again. (9) THATSWHATISAID was a solid 3rd in his latest and has flexed his versatility; he can get a big piece with a trip. (1) BRING YOUR FIRE never got going until late and might be able to secure a better spot off the gate with an inside draw here. (6) DAPPER FELLA was 2nd in his most recent try and should get a big piece by virtue of his draw. (4) BETTORHOLDONTIGHT tripped out to victory in his latest but loses JMac to our top choice.
