Top Pick Stats: 30 – 85 / $155.60 (-$14.40) Best Bets: 5 – 8 / $15.30 (-$0.70) Spot Plays: 0 – 8 / $0 (-$16.00) Best Bet: GOLDIES ROCKIN (9TH) Spot Play: DEL DIGGITY (7TH) Early Pick 5: 3,5/1,2,3,7/2,3/3,8/3,5,9,10 = $25.60 Late Pick 5: 8/1,5,8/1,3,4/4/1,3,8 = $5.40 Early Pick 4: 3,8/3,5,9,10/8/1,5,8 = $4.80 Late Pick 4: 1,5,8/1,3,4/4/1,3,8 = $5.40 Race 1: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT **$100,000 Pick 5 (8) JONNY BOOTS has burned a lot of money in several starts, but he was good last week when beat by a repeat winner and he looks best here. I’ll dip my toe into the fire and call him to break his maiden finally. (3) READY FOR LANDING showed some promise in a short campaign at 2 and he looks ready for a good effort here; using. (5) HP ADALINE outraced her odds to take a share last time and she should be good for another here. (9) DANCING DOVER’s race last week probably looks better than it was. The heavy chalk that beat him got a bad trip and he still had no answer, and he also didn’t beat much for 2nd. He is a fade for me here. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT (3) WATCH YOUR TONE finished with interest in his debut and this is a good spot for him. It’s graduation time. (2) LYONS BRUSHMARKS raced well in defeat and he finished ahead of the choice. He should be the main threat here. (1) CAPTAIN NASHVILLE has been 2-1 or 5-2 in all three of his starts and he hasn’t really been close to a win yet. What price would you take this time? (7) MONTAGUE finished fast in his 2023 debut and he should be in the exotics mix here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: CLM $20,000 for NW $35,000 LT (2) HESTONATOR got rolling too late last week, but he probably wasn’t catching the strong winner regardless. He gets top billing here. (3) CAPTAINS PICK fits better in this claimer and his maiden win two starts back stamps him as the main danger to the choice. He is the other one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (8) SKY LOW LOW draws a little better tonight and he can work his way into the Tri or Super. (1) MIKI BURKE has been better in his two most recent starts racing in London. He is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics. Race 4: 4YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT (8) LOOKS LIKE GAME ON came up against a well-meant winner that simply blew by them all in the lane last week, but that was another good effort and he looks best here; top call. (3) DONCORLEONE requalified and finished fast, and he faces easier tonight. He should be the main threat if he stays flat. (4) MICHAELAS ANGEL has been racing okay at this level. Last week she finished 3rd behind the choice. She can take another share here. (1) ARCHIMEDES overcame a tough trip to beat a weak group of maidens last week. He is in tougher now and I’ll use him on the bottom. Race 5: F&M 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT Tough race to end the early Pick 5 here. (10) STAY SPECIAL has by far the fastest mark and she finished well in both qualifiers leading to this 2024 debut. I’ll side with her expecting to get a decent price from post 10. (3) JACINDA has improving form and the best recent race, and that makes her a contender here; using. (5) WELLERS WATCHING is another that qualified well for this that is worth a look for the multi-race tickets. (9) STAY CLASSY falls into the same boat as having qualified well; can be part of the exotics. Race 6: 4YO and younger NW1 or $7,500 LT Pick 5 (8) TRICKY MCWICKY showed some talent in his lone qualifier and he paced the fastest final 1/4 of all the qualfiers that day. He can beat this group at first asking. (5) WINDSUN DIEGO took a while to make front last week then he had enough to hang on over first leader (1) QUENTIN QUARANTINO. Either of these is capable here if the choice doesn’t get the job done. (4) COBRA CREEK takes frequent shares and he is a good one to use on the bottom here. Race 7: F&M CLM $8,000 Pick 4 (5) DEL DIGGITY closed well last week but she was simply too far back. A more aggressive steer is expected tonight with McNair taking over the lines; top call. (1) MARINA DEL REY picks up J Mac coming off a narrow defeat and she is the obvious one to fear here; using. (8) SILLY BUT SERIOUS improved on the class drop and I could see Jamieson firing her to the front tonight. She is another to consider for the multis. (6) PROUD OF MY ROOTS beat Marina Del Rey after getting a good trip on the engine and Macdonald chose off her this week. I’ll use her underneath this time expecting some mid-race lead changes. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: F&M CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 (3) BETCHULOVEME lacked room late two starts back then had absolutely no chance the way she was driven last week, never getting put into the race until it was way too late. She gets a driver switch to Jones here and I’ll stick with her. (4) GREYSTONE TREASURE will rightfully take heavy action here racing off the Fellows claim and on the driver switch to Macdonald. She will probably be the one to beat at a short price. (1) PLAYA DUHARAS will be happy to see Hillbilly Jet isn’t in this field and she is another in with a chance. (7) SHAKEITIFYOUGOTIT should get put into play early racing off the Auciello claim and she should be good for a share. Race 9: F&M CLM HDCP $14,000 to $18,000 (4) GOLDIES ROCKIN jogged, was claimed, and she retains the leading driver. She is the one to knock off here. (3) HILLBILLY JET is the other hot mare in the field, but she would need to be faster to take down the choice. I’ll use her underneath. (1) KICKIN COWGIRL improved when she dropped to this level, but she was no match for the choice. She should be part of the exotics here. (2) DARKRSHADEOFPALE N has been known to pop at a price on more than one occasion, but I see her closing late for a small slice tonight. Race 10: F&M CLM $20,000 for NW $50,000 LT I thought (1) ULTRA raced great in defeat last week and was likely best but out-tripped. She will likely deploy a stalking style now and she gets the nod. (3) GOING YARD was an easy winner at this level here on 12/14 and she comes back from Flamboro with two wins in her pocket. She should be the main threat. (8) MISS MAYCEE pressured the choice into defeat last week and hung in there for a slice. She has upset potential here. (6) WAITINONAWOMAN needed every inch of a perfect trip to get the job done last week. I have to try to beat her as a likely underlay in this spot. (2) MISS DEW WRITE should improve with Lasix and get a check here.
