(2) THAT DUDE was good in the opening leg when 2nd to the choice then he scratched sick. He is another possibility here, but I’m not going to use half of a six-horse field in the Pick 5. (1) ROYAL LIFE can sit back and close for another share in this spot. She should offer a good price here and I’ll give her the nod. (2) DOLLYDAYDREAM brings some good form from Flamboro, and she picks up the leading driver tonight. She would be no surprise in this spot. (5) FEARLESS SHELIA marched to the front and stole easy fractions last week then sprinted away late. I don’t think she gets the same respect here with Sam Filion taking over for Roy and I’m inclined to fade her this time. (7) MISS SOPHIA ROSE frequently takes small shares, and she is a good one to use on the bottom. Race 4: 2 & 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME - Pick 4 Wide-open race here; I’ll take a shot with (7) ALLSTAR TWINKLE who showed some good late pop in her comeback race. (1) HEADS CAROLINA’s debut was decent but she has missed a month. Macdonald takes the lines which inspires some confidence and trainer Brethour will likely have her ready; using. (8) ABSOLUTION is the only winner in the field and Thiessen will put him in play; using. (9) PINK SKY will probably blast off the gate and position will be critical in a race where the pace projects to be slow. She is another in with a shot here. I think McClure sits and waits this time and pounces late at a better price. (1) SHINING MOMENT made a big move then got picked off late. He should be the main threat here. (3) MERROW might get lost on the board here after winning leg 1 then scratching sick He is worth using on multi-race tickets. (8) SCRATCHIN AN ITCH made the final move last week and he scored the upset. I’m not sure he gets the same beneficial trip this time. I’ll use him underneath.
