Race 1: CLAIMING $20,000 TO $25,000 FOR NW $58,000 (OS $72,750) LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: NW $400 LAST 5 STARTS. **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(2) HESTONATOR was driven aggressively as expected last week and he prevailed at this level. He gets the call to repeat. (6) VERY BLUE CHIP gets Macdonald, and he is sure to be blasting to the front leaving the gate. He is a threat to lead all the way. (4) HERVEY HANOVER showed a bit of life late in the mile last week and now he moves from a claiming handicap to a conditioned claimer, which should be a much easier spot. He is the third one that I’ll use in the early Pick 5. (8) WALL STREET BELL flashed speed and backed up Monday night but that was in a much tougher spot. He can stick around for a share tonight.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(7) FEARLESS SHELIA is on a roll right now and she is strictly the one to beat as she seeks the threepeat. (5) DEL DIGGITY is as game as they come but typically finds herself at a positional disadvantage when she faces the choice. I could see Borth dashing into the pocket here starting from post 5 and that gives her a chance to turn the tables. (6) GOLDIES ROCKIN, 3rd to the top two last week, likely rounds out the Tri again. (1) GOLDEN LEADER can last longer in this spot; using on the bottom.

Race 3: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,500 LIFETIME
Three-time winner (2) STEELWHEEL HANOVER’s first start here was decent and he had missed 5 1/2 weeks. He returns quicker now and gets top billing. Bettor’s Delight colt (4) DM BIGCATBODIE faces elders in debut but there are no killers in here. He is in with a chance on debut and I’ll use him in the Pick 5. (5) THEYMAKEUSBETTER is the only one in here other than the choice that has won a race. The short field helps him, but I prefer to use him underneath. (1) PUFFS LAST SHADOW will likely sit an inside trip and take a share.
Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $25,500) LIFETIME Pick 4
(1) GIVE ME A YANKEE was required to trot a 28-flat third 1/4 to get into contention last week and that was his undoing. He can beat these with a better trip. (2) STEAMER took a shuffle then made a late charge to nail the choice for 3rd. He is sharp; using. (8) WHEELIN MY BENTLEY might have slowed it down too much to the 1/2 last week because he had no reply to a rival’s ambush. His best puts him right there with these and he should offer a good price tonight. (6) IDITOROD is in solid form, and he should be part of the exotics again.
Race 5: FILLIES & MARES, 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $8,500 LIFETIME
(5) WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE gets major post relief here after racing decently from post 10 twice. She will likely get an aggressive drive tonight; top call. (9) WHISKEY BLUE CHIP is in much easier here after trying the Harvest series and getting three checks. She would be no surprise in this spot. (3) P L SUZIE comes off a win at a B track and gets Macdonald. She’s hard to leave out considering the driver change. (10) CHASIN RAINBOWS has taken 10 slices in 14 starts but there are no standouts in this field and her current form is good. Consider her at a price for multi-race tickets.
Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING $20,000 TO $25,000 FOR NW $52,250 LIFETIME. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. AE: N/A $1,255 P/S IN 2023-24 Pick 5
(6) ULTRA chased down the leaders in a good effort last week and she figures to get another good setup tonight; call to repeat. (8) RED DIRT FLASH was used hard to make front, passed on the backstretch, then buried inside until it was too late while finishing 2nd to the choice. Macdonald sticks and she is sharp, but she tends to fall short more often than not. (9) BIG DIAMOND will likely get put into play leaving the gate again and she can stick around for a share. (3) VAL VICTORIAN is in easier here. She should be part of the exotics.
Race 7: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME Pick 4
(9) FLANAGAN SUNSHINE made two moves in a good effort, but he couldn’t reel in the leader late. I’ll give him to nod over (8) HELLION, who blew up on the engine at 1 to 9 and is obviously talented, yet risky. (6) HAPPY ANGEL’s debut was okay, now he gets off the rail. He is worth a look at a price. (10) SEQUENCE HANOVER missed the board at 4 to 5 last week. I think he sits and rallies for a small share tonight.
Race 8: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 RACE (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) OR $9,500 LIFETIME
(3) BETTERDEALMEIN ships west and joins a barn that appears to be getting hot. He looks like the one to beat in his first local start; top call. (2) RULE THE WEST simply couldn’t hold off a rival that outpaced him late in the mile last week, but he was well clear in 2nd. He should be he main threat to the choice. (5) ADMIRAL DEO closes for a share without threatening each week it seems. I’ll use him underneath here. (1) LUCKY DANCER couldn’t keep up on the final turn last week, then rallied for 3rd. A small share is likely his ceiling here.

Race 9: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $20,000 TO $25,000 FOR NW $30,750 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME
(6) MY LAST KISS slowed it down too much last week with a rival parked the mile and the rival that was sitting second-over pounced and got the jump on her. She re-rallied to fall a nose short. I’ll give her the nod to turn the tables on (1) VENDETTA BLUE CHIP, who was well-driven to win but had the acceleration she needed when called upon. (8) SAULSBROOK ANNIE sat the pocket and followed along to finish 3rd to the top two. She will likely be good for another share tonight. (2) IS HE WATCHING will likely sit a trip in mid pack and close for a small share.
Race 10: CLAIMING $20,000 TO $25,000 FOR NW $30,000 (OS $43,750) LIFETIME ALLOWANCES FOR AGE
(7) RUSTYS BETT popped and stopped Saturday night and now he drops back to where he fits best. I like that he returns quick, and he gets top billing. (2) AMBITIOUS MIND raced well in defeat last week. He should be the main threat racing from close range. (8) GLADIATOR S BG has taken shares in two straight at this level and he has the gate speed to get position early. I’ll use him underneath. (4) JIMMY WHISPERS adds Lasix off a good qualifier win, but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (5) ALLSTAR PLAYBOY will likely pass a few of these late and take a check.
