Top Pick Stats: 526 – 1586 / $2,763.70 (-$406.30) Best Bets: 82 – 148 / $293.80 (-$2.20) Spot Plays: 25 – 151 / $155.00 (-$147.00) Best Bet: PERFECT SMILEY (2ND) Spot Play: SOCIAL DISTANCED (6TH) Early Pick 5: 2,3/8/7,8/5,7,9/3,7 = $4.80 Late Pick 5: 3,9/9,10/3,5/1,3,4,7/1,7,8 = $19.20 Early Pick 4: 5,7,9/3,7/3,9/9,10 = $4.80 Late Pick 4: 9,10/3,5/1,3,4,7/1,7,8 = $9.60 Race 1: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT **$100,000 Pick 5 (2) TITAN FLAX S raced decently from a wide post with Macdonald in the bike and now he draws inside. He will likely get more aggressive early and get better positioning. I’ll give him the nod over (3) HP JONI MONI who raced well in his first start for Barrington while finishing ahead of the choice. He will likely take lots of action tonight. (8) P L QUINELLA should improve here dropping out of the Harvest series, but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (6) GLENFIDICH broke when on the move then recovered to take a slice. He’s capable of contending if he stays flat. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 2YO and 3YO colts and geldings NW1 or $7,000 LT (8) PERFECT SMILEY fired a fast kicker and now he gets first-time McNair, which can be a huge angle. I’ll try him to beat likely favorite (2) CAPTAINS PICK who has been a money burner that is hard to trust on top at this point. (1) HEIR OF SOUTHWEST will need to be much faster here to contend, but his last two efforts at Flamboro were very good and he should be able to close for a share in this spot. (3) LANESIDE SPORTSTAR can improve enough in this second start to land in the bottom of the Tri or Super. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $31,000 LT (7) OH COFFEE BEAN ships in from Flamboro in top form and he gets Roy, the perfect driver for his front end style; top call. (8) MAE LOSE CONTROL is in the mix every week. He should be the main threat tonight. (4) KANSAS PANIC closed well for a share despite finishing with broken equipment and he should get a solid pace to chase tonight; using underneath. (6) NO PARTNERS is sharp but his typical racing style conflicts with the top choice. A small share is probably his ceiling in this spot. Race 4: CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 Pick 4 (9) HELLO ROCKY shipped in, took all the action, and converted for a barn that has been running hot; call to repeat. (5) ST LADS FLIRT seems to fit okay in this spot and Borth chose him over others. He is worth using with a 15 to 1 morning line quote. (7) TRIDENT SEELSTER, 3rd to the choice last week, should close for another share here. (1) WOODMERE GAELIC should sit a good inside trip and close for a small slice. Race 5: Pop Up Series F&M NW $30,000 in 2023 (3) GOLDIES ROCKIN got hammered last week on the driver change to J Mac and she was good, but a rival was better to the tune of 1:52-flat. She looks best here. (7) ST LADS DARK ANGEL should improve getting away from hot Godiva Show Girl. She is the other one that I’ll use on early multi-race tickets. (10) KICKIN COWGIRL keeps being claimed because her form is solid. She has the speed to overcome this post and get early position. She should be in the exotics mix. (5) GOODNIGHT IRENE is capable of landing a share in this spot; using underneath. Race 6: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT Pick 5 (9) SOCIAL DISTANCED got a needed clean line and closed for a share last week and now he gets a catch driver with his trainer driving a rival in this race that he trains and owns. I’ll give him the nod in spite of the wide draw. Two-year-old (3) OVEREND is related to four winners, and this isn’t the toughest spot to make a debut. Attracting the leading driver is a bonus; using. (8) JONNY BOOTS keeps taking money but really never threatens for the win. This is one I will have to fade in this spot where he will get bet again. (7) STARLITCRESENTROLL made a wide move late to take a slice and he can do the same here. Race 7: F&M CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 Pick 4 (10) SHAKEITIFYOUGOTIT drops and likely pops here after facing better for several weeks. (9) HILLBILLY JET won as expected as chalk last week and she should be the main threat tonight; using. (5) P L OOOOOOOOOOYAH blasted to the front, let one go, then had clear sailing up the pylons late and stayed for a share. She is in the exotics mix again. (2) LYONS QUEEN is worth a look on the barn change alone. Tab the tote for clues with this one. Race 8: Pop Up Series F&M NW $30,000 in 2023 (5) FEARLESS SHEILA has been on fire at this level and she is strictly the one to beat here. The other mare that interests me is (3) ROYAL TELL, who goes for the potent Cullen barn after shipping north and she is the other one that I’ll use on late multi-race tickets. (2) ALESSANDRA improved and closed well for a share last week and she can be part of the Tri or Super in this race, too. (1) BOOKIE BABY should get another following trip here and she is a good one to use on the bottom. Race 9: CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $50,000 LT (7) SAULSBROOK BOOMER is right there every week and there is no Spectrum Seelster to deal with this week, so he gets top billing. (3) BELECHICK comes over from Flamboro off a nice first-up win and he gets the leading driver. He has the look of a contender. (1) SUNSHINE LOVE should improve on the drop, and he is another one to consider for late multi-race tickets. (4) BORN A REBEL is another that should improve in this spot, and he too has upset potential. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: F&M CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $33,500 LT Pick 10 (7) POP THE BUBBLY comes off a nice win at this level and this field doesn’t look much tougher; call to repeat. (8) FATED FIRE comes up tagged in a spot where her speed should carry much farther and she is the one to fear. (1) MS CHANTALMACHABAY’s recent form has improved, and McClure will have her rolling late. She is another that can win here if things shake out her way. (4) MISS MAYCEE was first-up last week, and she wasn’t beaten that far. She can be part of the exotics if she finds a helmet to follow. (6) SEA SAND has been fifth in three straight starts and she is a good one to use on the bottom.
