Race 1: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
Tough race to kick off the early Pick 5 with several horses making their debuts. $50,000 Lexington purchase (2) SOUTHWIND CHARDNAY qualified nicely for her debut after not making it to the gate in a pari-mutuel race at 2. I'll give her a slight nod. (6) MY ONE PERCENT closed well in his debut then blew up at the start last week. He can be right there if he stays flat tonight. (9) QUICK FIX is worth a price look with Roy driving after he qualified him nicely for this. (10) ALCINA looked a sure winner at the 1/8th pole last week then she snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. I can't back her from the 10-hole now.

Race 2: 5YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT
(1) SERIOUS MOJO was never going to gain as he tried to advance into a rapidly accelerating pace and the 3rd-place winner of that race has already come back to win. I think he gets more aggressive tonight and he gets top call. (5) BETTORHOLDONTIGHT squandered a sure win two starts back with a late break in the stretch and then he broke again in his next start. He needs a clean line here, so he will likely be driven carefully, but he is good enough to win if he is in contention at the 1/8th pole. (7) CAPTAINS PICK fits okay here and the tab may provide some clues as he makes his first start since late July. (3) MIKRON edged the choice last week and he can close for another share.

Race 3: NW2 or $24,000 (F&M $39,200) LT
(8) SHES BEER LEAGUE is in peak form and she should offer a decent price here starting from the widest post; top call. (7) KABOOM NL should contend if she stays flat in this second local start; using. (1) GIVE ME KARETS K always gives away position at the start, but he should pass many or all of his rivals in this spot and he is another worth using in the Pick 5. (6) BARZY was gifted a win when a rival hung badly after getting past him. I'll use him underneath tonight.
Race 4: F&M CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000 Pick 4
(7) CLODAM BAYAMA is sharp and she can take a lot of air if need be. I can see her griding out a win in this spot. (8) SUNSHINEINMYPOCKET popped and stopped but she was re-claimed by Moreau and she can improve sharply here; Exacta factor. (6) FURIOSA made a nice late charge for 3rd last week and she should be in the exotics mix again. (5) MY DAY is another that should come on late to take a slice.
Race 5: 3YO Colts and Geldings NW1 or $10,000 LT
(10) THE WILL TO PLAY stole a slow opening ½, but he was impressive powering away from his rivals and he gets the call to repeat here. (3) DELIGHTFUL LEADER's goose was cooked when the 1/2 rang up in 1:00 flat. I wouldn't be shocked if he turned the tables on the choice. (6) EDGE OF THE WORLD qualified well and this isn't the toughest spot. He can land a share in this 2023 debut. (8) BETTERTIMESAHEAD closed mildly from an impossible spot. He is worth using in the exotics at a price.
Race 6: NW2 (F&M3) or $24,000 (F&M $39,200) Pick 5
(5) DAY AT THE GYM is fast enough to contend here if he stays flat and he qualified with trotting hopples on. If that fixes his gait issue, he can beat these. (6) MUSCLE ENVY is only 1-for-21 but he draws best in a spot where he should have a big shot if he stays flat; using. (7) CADILLAC has shown good late speed in two of his past three starts and he figures for a share vs. these. (2) TOSCANO GIRL has hit the board in half of her starts and she is worth a look for the exotics.
Race 7: Claiming $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $80,000 LT
(8) TUF COOPER took a new life's mark last week when he jogged and was claimed by the leading trainer. He should be tough to beat here. (3) HES REALLY KEEN had an impossible trip last week and he still kept coming. I could see him upsetting the choice if he can find the pocket early. (5) LAND OF ROYALTY predictably went off favored racing off the Barrington claim and he got a wild trip. He can go better tonight. (1) CUSTARDS DUNGEON ships in after showing speed in several starts out west. I can see him taking a share.
Race 8: Claiming $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $37,000 LT
(7) JITTERBUG FLIP and (8) PROMISE ME A WIN will likely battle it out again and I can see a similar pace scenario with the former racing in the latter's pocket then pouncing late. (4) POINTTO SWEET LOU figures to get a better trip here and he can land in the exotics. (1) SMART THINKING closed for 3rd behind the top two choices last time. He can sneak into the Super again.

Race 9: F&M CLM HDCP $8,500 to $10,000
This looks like a race where the two class droppers line up on the outside of the gate and I'll side with (7) SHEPLAYSFORKEEPS over (6) CLOVER because her current form is better. (5) DALI CAT, winner of three of her last four, should factor for a slice in this spot. (4) RUNAWAY HEIRESS will pass a few of these late and complete the Tri or Super.
Race 10: CLM HDCP $15,000 to $20,000
(5) DO YOU SEE IT was tons the best last week but he got a terrible trip on excess dead cover and he ended up in an impossible spot by the time the field reached the top of the stretch. He is a clear top pick here. (10) THE LEGEND HANOVER raced well on the engine and he finished ahead of the choice. He should be the main threat. (8) MIKES POWERHOUSE is in slightly easier and he should be good for a slice. (6) CUTTING CLASS wasn't far behind the choice last week. He should be part of the High-5. (3) BARRYS SHELBY is usually in the mix and he can get a trip and take a check.
