(7) TYRONE BOW TIE is the only real challenger on paper and the logical alternative to the choice. (2) MARCH SEVEN has compiled a good record in Ottawa, and he can take a share vs. these. (1) LEADING RESOLVE likely takes a following trip here and sneaks into the exotics.

Race 2: F&M CLM HDCP $12K to $15K

(7) SHEPLAYSFORKEEPS started the season with 20 straight losses, now she is in search of a seventh straight win in this 27th start. She gets the leading driver and figures to be tough to beat. (3) HILLBILLY JET raced tough in defeat last week and she should be the main threat to the choice tonight. (1) KICKIN COWGIRL is worth a look for the bottom of the exotics dropping into a claimer tonight. (2) MITTANY NICOLE is a good one to use to round out Tris or Supers.

Race 3: Pop Up Series: Ontario sired 3YO fillies NW $20,000 in 2023 Leg 1

(1) ANGELIKI beats these if she stays flat and produces an effort close to those in her second or third start back. (8) OLIVIAS GOLDNUGGET was much faster in her recent qualifier, and she is in with a shot here of she gets put into the race early enough. (9) JAYPORT ANNA MAY is fast enough to contend here but she is 0 for 17. I'd demand a price here. (6) SWEET CARRIE T has the fastest mark in the field, and she will likely improve dropping out of Grassroots where she got a needed clean line.

Race 4: 2YO colts and geldings NW1 or $5,000 LT - Pick 4

(7) PAY THE PRICE should improve in this second start after an even debut race where he fired a nice kicker; slight nod. (3) SPIROS perhaps slowed the pace too much which left the pocket sitter loaded for the sprint home. He would be no surprise in this spot. (2) BEAR NECESSITIES effort two starts back in a Grassroots race makes him a contender vs. these maidens, but he needs to stay flat. (6) DEVILS KISS is another that has raced okay in Grassroots that could do here if he stays flat.

Race 5: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT

(9) CACTUSTOTHECLOUDS got J Mac in the bike and immediately jogged at a short price. He steps up but this isn't the toughest NW2 field; call to repeat. (4) SWEET DETRMINATION closed for third behind two good fillies in the Grassroots final and she looks like the main threat here; using. (3) SISTER ACT has improved her form recently and she's worth a look for multi-race tickets. (1) CONNOR set some good splits and drove away from maidens last week. I don't love the rail for him considering his gait issues; small share predicted.

Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: Gold Leg 5 3YO colts and geldings - Pick 5

(2) MOMENT IS HERE raced well at the Jug, and he has a post and recency edge on main rival (8) STOCKADE SEELSTER. Nod to the former but using both. (7) WHATCHULOOKIN AT beat the choice last time but he got a perfect trip that isn't likely to be repeated in this spot; using underneath. (5) BETTER B BOLD will likely close for a slice here.

Race 7: 5YO and younger NW1 or $7,000 LT

(4) SOCIAL DISTANCED raced okay in her debut and I could see her beating these if she shows slight improvement tonight. (7) H P JONI MONI fits well vs. these and he will probably get an aggressive steer from Roy; using. (3) QUEEN INDEED is 0 for 14 but her race two starts back makes her a contender in this field. She is another in with a shot. (2) NORTHERN IRONMAN should be good for a small slice in this spot, racing near the front throughout.

Race 8: Pop Up Series: Ontario sired 3YO colts and geldings NW $20,000 in 2023 Leg 1 - Pick 4

(5) M I RADICAL has won half his starts and he qualified fast enough here on 9/29 to be competitive on the big track. He has a nose for the wire, and he gets top billing here. (4) AIRBORNE finished just behind the choice and Macdonald qualified him and drives here; using. (2) FIRST DIGIT might be fastest in here, but his gait issues make him risky. I wouldn't take a short price here. (3) PRINCE ARCHIE has taken shares here and he comes off a nice win at Flamboro. He is in with an upset chance tonight.

Race 9: CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $40,000 LT

(1) SELF ISOLATION goes for Montini following a private sale and he adds Lasix and the leading driver. Sharp improvement is likely tonight. (8) THEDOGINTHEFIGHT is the obvious one to beat based on recent efforts and he is hard to leave off late multi-race tickets. (3) SUNSHINE LOVE is always around the money, and he should take another share here racing from close range. (2) WOODMERE BANKROLL can close for another slice in this spot.

Race 10: 5YO and younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 LT

(7) RICARDO jogged vs. similar two starts back and he should be very tough in this spot. (4) FREE WHEELS is unlikely to go off anywhere close to his 10 to 1 morning line moving into the top trainer's barn and getting Macdonald in the bike; using. (8) GLENFIDICH was a winner from the 10-hole in fast time which isn't something you see in a maiden trotting race often. His good form should be respected. (1) RADCLIFFE should race better from an inside post, and he can be part of the exotics.

Race 11: F&M CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $25,250 LT

(4) SNAKES EYES HANOVER just crushed six of tonight's rivals at this level last week and it's hard to find someone that can beat her tonight. Another small price looms. (3) JS BETTHISLADY draws better, and I could see her landing in the pocket early and sitting the trip to complete the Exacta. (10) MS CHANTALMACHABAY closed for 2nd to the choice now she moves from the best post to the worst one; small share predicted. (1) DIALMEUP will likely sit another inside following trip and land in the bottom of the exotics. (6) MARINA DEL REY was 3rd to the choice last week and she figures to be in this High-5.
