(1) KNGTSTLKRS GAMES was a fine third behind a runaway winner in Ronda May K. There was no catching that rival on that occasion. Leading driver James Macdonald gets back in the bike; He piloted her on debut in a tough Kentucky stake. (9) MASSBAR looked set for a strong effort after a sharp win in the morning, but an early miscue spoiled any chance. She is still learning; I won’t give up on her yet. (4) MY GHOST posted the best effort of her career last week. She is likely to try and work out a grinding trip and can get a piece.

Race 2: NW $1,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $855 P/S IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500.
(5) MAGIC DEALER gets a key driver change to James Macdonald who is likely to have him pumped up in the early stages. I think he could get more out of the horse and pull off an upset. (1) HUNGRY HILL was another who spoiled a potentially strong performance with an early break. Now he draws the rail, which can be a tricky spot for inconsistent trotters, but he should wake up when dropping against this bunch. (3) PETER CROWN comes off two confidence boosting wins at Clinton and should be forwardly placed off the car. He can struggle to close out miles at times, though.
Race 3: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(3) LETR SINK SON was up against it from jump when he took back from an outside post, but made a sustained rally in the back half to end up finishing in the money. Look for him to be closer and work out a perfect tow into the race. (6) PA SALT took a step forward in his second morning prep. He is a well bred colt that can get a big piece in his debut. (5) BLUE TEN SQUARED made two moves in his latest and paced home decently to be fourth. I can see him sitting a close trip and getting a piece.
Race 4: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $9,000 LIFETIME. WITH ALLOWANCES.
(3) CAPTAIN NATHAN was a horse I was excited to see following his debut morning prep, but the races were cancelled due to weather when he was supposed to debut. He faces a couple that have shown good speed already, but he was so visually impressive in the morning. (2) COMMANDER SAUL has been grinding out some strong finishes against horses that are competitive in the Grassroots. He can get into a decent spot off the car and be competitive again. (5) IMPERATIVE was overmatched against Commonwealth company, but the Wildcat Series seemed to fit him much better. It was a confidence boosting mile for this colt who now debuts for the Rick Zeron barn.
Race 5: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $8,500 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(5) NIGHTINGALE has posted two fine morning preps to help her get back into a regular rotation. Although she may not be able to get back to the speed she showed in the early parts of summer, she may not need to against a suspect group. (3) KAMA has some staying power when racing from mid-pack. He draws an inside post again and should get away relatively well. (7) HOBNOB HANOVER could not sustain her bid on the front and eventually faded back to third. I would expect her to be sent from this post as she gets away from the rail tonight.
Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(4) DEL DIGGITY grinded out yet another win at a short price last week. That was her fifth win in her last six efforts, pushing her to 24-of-31 in the money this year. The veteran continues to impress. (5) DOLLYDAYDREAM is a mare who is usually chasing Del Diggity when they match up. She is another who can grind into the race and produce a good finish most weeks. (8) LISAS ALL IN went down the road when racing off the claim. She could be set for a similar trip tonight, but will need to sustain it coming home.
Race 7: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5: 3 YEAR OLD PACING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(5) CHANTILLY is back to claim her crown at the Gold level after a few subpar efforts by her standards. She has two sharp morning preps coming into tonight; I’ll look for her to get back to her winning ways. (3) PERFECTLY CHIC has been pacing some big miles of late, and finished a strong second in last month’s Gold at Rideau. She will have options off the car in terms of trip. (7) OUTTATHISWORLD DEO got a perfect tightener trip last week. She has been pretty sharp of late and could get a piece if blasted from the outside.
Race 8: 2 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: NW 1 RACE OR $8,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(3) WE GOT HISTORY debuts for the Menary barn after two solid performances in Kentucky. I would expect him to step forward and be a major player right away. (2) I LOVE THIS BAR was completely out of contention in the early stages but ended up getting a check with a sustained move in the back half. He gets major post relief tonight. (1) OVER BET qualified decently after making a break while trying to get in contention in his debut. If he minds his manners, he can get a piece.

Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 5: 3 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(1) CRACK SHOT has the slight edge over his main rival in my opinion because he has a recent qualifier under his belt. He has had a good season and should add to it tonight. (5) ALLSTAR MANIAC hasn’t raced in over a month and doesn’t have to win tonight in my opinion. As the heavy favorite, I think he could get picked off. (2) CONTROL ROCKS has been chasing the top types in recent weeks, but is a quality horse that can pick up a piece if positioned forward off the car.
Race 10: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(8) MUSIC TO MY GEARS has been sharp as of late at the smaller tracks. The veteran has found some back class in recent months. I would expect him to be forwardly placed from this wide draw. (5) MACH IMPACT had something go amiss in his morning prep, but came back with a sharp effort on the front resulting in a win. He is not the most consistent, but if he brings his best, he can contend. (6) RAYS KREDIT has been working from off the pace and picking up minor shares. If the front end speed falters, I can see him getting into contention.
