(6) EXACTLY took on older horses last time and it was no trouble. These are classy rivals but he is a quality horse in his own right. (7) MR BLUEBIRD should enjoy the drop in class as he likely tries to secure a trip near the lead. (9) TE QUIERO LINDY could add some value to exotics if he works out a trip. He was better in his latest and could show more tonight.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(6) SPEEDY MASS edged away from rivals in her latest after getting to the outside. A similar mile can see her repeat. (7) STORMONT VIOLET usually sustains her middle moves and should be passing rivals late to get a big share. (10) SUMLUCKYLADY has improved over the Mohawk oval with each start. A live helmet could give her a big chance.
Race 3: NW $12,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW 2 RACES OR N/A $2,385 P/S IN 2026.
(7) HASTY BID gets away from some of the top dogs and now makes his fourth start back. I think he’ll be ready to roll. (4) PENNTELLER HANOVER has a similar story but hasn’t had the same punch as some of the others at this upper level. (2) NEW RULES is second back but clearly needs a couple more before being back in form.
Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(2) BALIUS got a check in his division of the Champlain but finds a much more suitable field tonight. (7) THE GREAT GAZOO has been right there in all four previous Grassroots tries. He deserves a long look. (10) SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE just missed in his latest after a grinding move. He has shown that he fits much better against these.
Race 5: NW $1,000 LAST 4 OR $3,750 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,170 P/S IN 2026.
(1) FLANAGAN SUNSHINE drops back to the level where he was an easy winner two starts ago. The trip didn’t favor him last week. (7) ROXIE HART was better in her latest but was unable to get into play early enough from a wide post. She drops to the bottom level and should step forward again. (5) THE BEAR A CUDA made a miscue at a short price last week. If he minds his manners and gets away decently, he should do okay.
Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(10) TYMAL ECLIPSE should have won easily in her latest, but the drive left a lot to be desired. I’ll take a chance that she works out a trip from the high draw. (3) TWIN B KINGSLEY has enough tactical speed to work out a good trip and the turn of foot she has on the end of it will have her right there. (1) ELUSIVE STATION fits much better against Grassroots types and should be in the mix.
Race 7: CLAIMING HANDICAP $30,000 TO $40,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(6) WANNABEABIGSTAR needed one after being off nearly a month, but was interfered with in that effort when the leader made a break. I think he provides the most value of the main contenders. (7) LAMBORGHINI LOU benefitted from the chaos and wound up with a multi-length lead in the stretch. He looks for three in a row. Not sure what happened with (5) STICKEMINLETHIMGO for him to make that break, but he returns in a week so it apparently wasn’t anything major.
Race 8: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 2 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(5) KING OF THE SOUTH posted his best mile to date when pulling off an upset in the Champlain. We’ll see if he can bring that again. (10) GREAT WHITE NORTH can get into the race with any trip which is key considering he draws post ten. (6) STORMONT MAROON could add value to exotics if he finds another gear tonight. He has been racing well but needs a touch more.
Race 9: OPEN.
(2) DAME GOOD TIME returns to Mohawk after a sharp win at Pocono. He looks for three in a row, and I think he gets it. (7) MAJOR VELOCITY couldn’t quite reach Logan Park but trotted an excellent mile. These two could be dueling down the stretch. (1) STORMONT BEAUTIFUL closed sharply last week to finish second behind Private Access. I’ll use her underneath.

Race 10: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $25,000. AE: NW $15,000 OR N/A $1,440 P/S IN 2026.
(2) GUCCI GUCCI GOO finds a different group this week and gets a major post switch. The miles he has been trotting fit very well here. (3) I GOT THE LOOKS drops back to the level where he won two starts ago. He showed enough tactical speed in that race. (1) CRYSTAL BALLER broke in his latest and is now stuck with the rail again. If he minds his manners, he can get a piece.
Race 11: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,715 P/S IN 2026. AE: NW $2,250 LAST 3 STARTS.
(5) SPRITE SEELSTER was much better in her latest but worked out a great trip. If she does the same tonight, she should be right there. (4) FAITH STEP is hard for me to ignore because of the turn of foot she has late in the mile. I’ll continue to put her in the mix. Not sold on (8) PEMBERTON after just one start but he showed more than I thought he would. We’ll see what he brings tonight.
