Race 1: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $13,500 LAST 6 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $2,055 P/S IN 2025-26.
(5) STABLE GENIUS has been getting better with each start back and is in sharp form right now. He draws perfectly for another speed try. (4) FAITH STEP has lost some shine since the claim but the drop in class should elevate her. (2) MYFRIENDJOSE also drops a notch but is likely to work from mid-pack. I don’t think he quite has the punch to sustain a winning outside bid unless things fall apart.

Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4A. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(6) BARBARA MAY is back in against fillies after clearing to the lead in a contested opening half last week. I’ll give her another try from a good post. (3) A SPLASH OF GREEN was just able to get by Intel Queen in the final strides in what was her first start in two months. Look for her to show more tonight. (4) RONDA MAY K has excelled against fillies of this caliber in the past but has been her own worst enemy of late. Tough call.
Race 3: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, WINNERS OF 3 (FM 4) BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 (FM 6) OR $80,000 (OS $100,000) LIFETIME.
(6) P L ROBERT G has taken on some salty older rivals in recent weeks. McClure gives him the nod and so will I. (3) MY WAY has flashed a strong turn of foot in his last two and could take advantage of a couple who are between stakes engagements. (2) BINGO NIGHT is one of them and likely won’t be fully torqued this week as she waits for another Gold to arrive.
Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4A. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(3) BELLA CHICA is nearly perfect in the Grassroots this year and the connections have managed her well. It’s why she keeps putting forth quality efforts. (8) LOOK A DIAMOND is her main rival here. She has been dominant for most of the season. Should set up to be a good battle between them. (1) SOCIAL WIZARD tries Grassroots competition for the first time this year. Her last performance against fillies was a strong second.
Race 5: POP UP SERIES: H&G STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,000 OR LESS LAST 3 STARTS (W/O $40,000 IN 2026 N/E). AE:N/A $1,450 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). LEG 2.
I’ll come right back with (7) SCAMMER who was closing sharply like he usually does, but it was just a little too late. (2) CONVOY TWENTY TWO has more raw speed than most of these in my opinion, and he should benefit from not having to face a top-heavy duo like in leg one. (3) GRIN AND WIN was pressured early then had to briefly wait for a lane to materialize to the inside. He just has come up short so many times in the past. It might be clouding my judgment, but he’ll be an underlay regardless.
Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 4A. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).
(4) CUPID HALL has been sharp this year when she minds her manners. This is a pretty soft group overall that she should take advantage of. (1) ELBOWS UP is her obvious threat who stayed tight with a qualifier last week. We’ve seen her slip up a few times this season as well. (7) RARE LEGACY tried a first-over move last week and had to settle for a minor share. She could benefit if the top two don’t mind their manners.
Race 7: POP UP SERIES: H&G STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,000 OR LESS LAST 3 STARTS (W/O $40,000 IN 2026 N/E). AE:N/A $1,450 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). LEG 2.
(5) MCWICKED TIME likely caught the eye of many in leg one when he stormed home down the center of the track to finish second. I think he gets the right trip tonight. (4) HAZEE COAST could leave everyone chasing as he did last week. The post draw favors another speed try. (7) MOONLOVER BOVINO is a bit of an unknown inserting himself into this series. He has the early speed to mix it up and was caught up in a very fast mile three starts ago.
Race 8: NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. AE: NW $32,000 OR N/A $3,260 P/S IN 2025-26.
Once in a while, (2) R PEAKY BLINDERS uses up all of his gate speed reserves and drives away from his competition. A double drop in class sets him up perfectly to do so. (8) AMIGO VOLO hasn’t quite been at his best since returning but his class should shine through at this level. (6) TACTICAL STRIKE has posted back to back wins on the front end and will likely be first to the lead off the car.

Race 9: POP UP SERIES: H&G STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,000 OR LESS LAST 3 STARTS (W/O $40,000 IN 2026 N/E). AE:N/A $1,450 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). LEG 2.
(8) D A LETS BOOGIE never relinquished the lead after clearing in leg one. I expect similar tactics tonight. (9) DRINKIN BUDDY performed much better than I thought he would given the quick first half he set. The connections have clearly figured something out, because he has been sustaining his front end moves as of late. (4) UP JOEYS CREDIT eventually grinded past rivals after flipping off cover. It could setup for him if the race falls apart.
Race 10: POP UP SERIES: H&G STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,000 OR LESS LAST 3 STARTS (W/O $40,000 IN 2026 N/E). AE:N/A $1,450 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). LEG 2.
(1) PHONE NINE ONE ONE went on a win streak back in the early days of summer but hasn’t been able to find that form since. I’ll try him at a price knowing that he can get around the Mohawk oval and knowing that this race could fall apart. (4) THAI TOUR relinquished the lead late in leg one but will likely be trying a similar approach tonight. We’ll see if he can go all the way. (6) ODDS ON VALHALLA faded out of contention after trying a second move. He could try to work off a helmet this week which could get him a piece.
