Top Pick Stats: 325/1006 (-$426.80)
Best Bets: 40/90 (-$17.10); Spot Plays: 20/93 (-$68.90)
Best Bet: PACINO HANOVER (Race 4)
Spot Play: INSTANTANEOUS (Race 3)
Early Pick-5: 1,4,8/2,6/5,7/9/5 $2.40
Late Pick-5: 1,2,4/7/5,10/4,7/8,9 $4.80
Race 1: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $8,250 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: NW $5,250 IN 2026 (MIN 5 STARTS).
(8) RAISING RUSTY showed good speed around Mohawk in his qualifier and got a nice tightener after that. Plante picking up the drive could mean an aggressive steer comes. (1) ROXIE HART has to navigate the rail after making breaks in two of her last three outings. She has the ability to win, but it could be a tricky ask given the circumstances. (4) P L ROBERT G got caught up in a quick pace but still held on for a piece and didn’t lose by much. Another forward trip could see him right there.

Race 2: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW $70,000 IN 2025-26 (MIN 20 STARTS).
(2) SCAMMER got a great steer two back with Trevor Henry, and those two reunite tonight. Looking for the speed types to falter. (6) JACK PANIC was logically sent forward last week and raced well. I would expect similar tactics. (7) THE WRITER could be sneaky value if he works out a trip. He can maintain his speed on both ends of the mile.
Race 3: CLAIMING HANDICAP $18,000 TO $24,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(5) INSTANTANEOUS gets my nod in a class where nobody ever seems to repeat. I’ll look for this to be his week after a couple of decent efforts and a better post. (7) BETTOR B GOING just missed last week after getting a much better trip. I think similar tactics are in the cards. (8) CODE CRACKER is having a great year on paper but has been extremely volatile in recent weeks. What version do we get tonight?
Race 4: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $16,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,570 P/S IN 2026.
(9) PACINO HANOVER is hard to ignore when he gets to a level like this. Cullen should give him every chance despite the wide draw. (6) RIPASSO is typically against it given his style but J-Mac reunites with him. He has a strong final quarter to him and should use it to his advantage. (8) WATERLOO has posted back-to-back decent miles. The touch of early speed he has could allow him to work out a better trip than others.
Race 5: HORSES THAT STARTED FOR A PURSE OF $12,000 OR LESS IN LAST 4 STARTS.
(5) MY BUDDY SAM has somehow finished second six times in a row. I think he breaks through when returning to the bigger track where he has had past success. (4) TYRONE BOW TIE didn’t have the best trip last week. He likes to grind into contention, but it’s better when he has a helmet to follow. I’ll give him another chance. (3) SOUTHWIND ONCORE is second back after more than two years off. He was pretty good in his return and is likely to improve tonight.
Race 6: NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $18,000 LAST 8 STARTS.
(4) WHAT ABOUT ELMO didn’t trot a bad mile in his latest. He just ran into a razor sharp Ungawa. I’ll look for him to get the job done this week. (2) THE BEAR A CUDA gets a big post switch and could show gate speed this week. That has been a preferred tactic of his. (1) MR BLUEBIRD should wake up at this level but could be forced to make two moves from the rail. I look at him as an underlay in this spot.
Race 7: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,000 LAST 4 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(7) CHASIN RAINBOWS has improved in each start since the qualifier and could put it all together tonight. I expect her to leave out and get a good trip. (5) MY ONLY SUNSHINE shines at this level and should be pointed forward as well. (3) HEAVENS LIL DRAGON could benefit from a setup if the top two favorites battle more than they should. She has been right there.
Race 8: NW $12,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW 8 RACES LIFETIME. AE: MARES.
(10) R PEAKY BLINDERS was awesome last week and gets my nod to repeat despite the wide draw. (5) PAQUET makes his return after just three starts, and three wins, last season. We saw Fashion Frenzie return a winner, and we know what this guy is capable of when at his best. (2) YOU GOT IT KEMP is third back in the form cycle after two sharp efforts. For the most part, he hasn’t missed a beat since returning.

Race 9: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 2. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD).
(4) TOUCHEDBYANANGEL made a move to the front in the Goodtimes Final but faded back to fourth behind the other logical three. I think he tries the front again and gets the job done. (7) STROBE LITE was forced to grind from mid pack and raced well again, but couldn’t catch the top two from where he was. Much better chance tonight. (5) DREAM FOR PEACE held his own in the Goodtimes and could challenge for the win with the right trip.
Race 10: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $18,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E) AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000.
(8) DAHLQUIST HANOVER is third back after two efforts where he was way back and had no chance. I think he is forwardly placed when dropping in class and puts forth a big effort. (9) MYFRIENDJOSE was a good third last week and made up a lot of ground late. I think he is another that will benefit from a forward trip tonight. (3) RICKY RESOLVE was better in his second start back and could get a setup if they mix it up on the lead.
