Top Pick Stats: 308/962 (-$426.90) Best Bets: 37/86 (-$20.60); Spot Plays: 19/89 (-$64.50) Best Bet: R PEAKY BLINDERS (Race 4) Spot Play: WHOLETTHEDOGSOUT (Race 2) Early Pick-5: 1,4,5/6/3,5,8/6/1,4   $2.40 Late Pick-5: 2,4/7,10/5,8/3,6/1,5   $6.40 Race 1: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 (FM 4) RACES OR $50,000 (OS $62,500) LIFETIME. Interesting opener. (4) ANIBAL DUHARAS gets the nod from Roy and could be in line to pick off the ML favorite with the right trip. (5) EXACTLY was likely to make a strong case in his Goodtimes elim but busted at the start. He should typically be best in this field when he minds his manners. (1) MIKE ME UP hasn’t had much luck in the trip department since returning but finds a shorter field tonight. Another strong middle move should put him in the mix. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $37,500) LIFETIME. (6) WHOLETTHEDOGSOUT has some major wheels on the end of his miles, but he has been ambitiously spotted. He was last seen in overnight company kicking sub-:26 and just missing. (1) JOHNNY ANGEL appears to have just as much ability as his main rival but I think the former has a fitness edge. Regardless, he should put in another quality effort tonight. (5) PLANKTON HANOVER is a decent colt but needs to class up to the top two. His gate speed should allow him to work out a good trip. Race 3: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS (W/O $7,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: NW $57,500 IN 2025-26. (5) SHANES DREAM is kind of the pick by default given he is second back after a mile that should have tightened him up. (8) LARCENY has been a disappointment to start this season but was better in his latest from off the pace. Maybe he’s finding something. (3) MATTS A MYSTICIAN makes his third start in the form cycle after two okay off the pace tries. A live helmet could tow him to a piece. Race 4: NW $9,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $19,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,240 P/S IN 2025-26. (6) R PEAKY BLINDERS has been completely out of position against top level foes. I would look for him to be aggressively handled on the drop and potentially trip out as the second choice. (8) OUTSIDE THE FIRE isn’t a “need the lead” type but is another dropper who should benefit if some early speed is used. (10) PRIVATE ACCESS is in a weird spot given how short he was last week. I guess J-Mac floats him out? Though it seems more likely he looks for a trip similar to what he got in his return mile. Race 5: NW $2,750 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: NW $3,000 IN 2026. (4) P L ROBERT G gets a sizable drop in class and could get the jump on this field if he shows gate speed. (1) BODELICIOUS is improving with each start since returning and could be in line to challenge for the win tonight. (8) ZETTE ATHENA is another getting a big drop but her off the pace style can leave her susceptible. I think she can at least hit the board tonight. Race 6: NW $21,000 LAST 4 STARTS. (4) P L SPENCER got a great steer from McClure and wound up winning in a career best mark. He draws well and should get a similar trip. (2) GHOSTLY CASPER has posted three quality starts in a row and has the gate speed to beat some of these to the punch. (1) PENNTELLER HANOVER is likely set to a similar mid pack trip when leaving from the rail. He can close for a piece tonight. Race 7: CLAIMING HANDICAP $30,000 TO $40,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000. (10) UNCLE SHANK A should combat the wide draw with his sharp early speed. It worked last week after a good trip; I’ll give him the nod to repeat. (7) PONDER NO LONGER was sharp from off the pace in his latest. He has raced well at this level in the past. (5) WANNABEABIGSTAR should loom as value again amongst the closers. Someone should emerge from the pack; I’ll count on it being him. Race 8: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, WINNERS OF 3 (FM 4) BUT NOT MORE THAN 5 (FM 6) OR $80,000 (OS $100,000) LIFETIME. (5) GRIFF is third back off a big-time layoff and trotted an excellent mile last week given the circumstances. If he is sound, I think he steps forward again. (8) SEISMIC STEP is an interesting new shooter that qualified well over the Mohawk oval. I think he can make an impact right away. (7) EUROBANK HANOVER returns to Mohawk after a stakes try where he got a check. I’ll try to play against him in this spot. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: NW $2,900 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $5,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,505 P/S IN 2025-26. (3) LEGION SEELSTER gets a steep drop in class and is likely to get an aggressive steer with Roy sticking. (6) JACK PANIC usually shows gate speed at these lower levels and could trip out with the right setup. (8) PREMIER FIRST STAR finds a nice middle ground after posting a big final quarter to get him a check. Dueling leaders could help him. Race 10: NW $6,000 LAST 4 OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS (W/O $20,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E) AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: NW $100 IN 2026. AE: N/A $1,000 P/S IN 2025-26. (5) GALEN ERSO didn’t use gate speed last week but is likely to now as he looks for a confidence boosting win. (1) MYFRIENDJOSE favors a grinding trip and could be in for one tonight. His trip three back from the rail feels like it could happen here. (3) SOUTHWIND RUSSIAN raced well last week and now gets a major post switch. I can see him hitting the board again tonight.
