Race 1: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $5,200 LAST 4 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(6) D A TEMPTATION has been just even in recent weeks, but that was against tougher foes. I expect her to be driven like the best horse in the field tonight. (5) MY LITTLE CHLOE comes off a sharp win from off the pace at Flamboro. She should be brimming with confidence coming into tonight. (2) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY has more in the tank than what she has shown in the last few efforts. If she gets away in a better position, she can hit the board.

Race 2: CLAIMING HANDICAP $18,000 TO $24,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE & SEX. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(6) REMEMBER THE BEACH got a perfect trip last week, but clearly looked the best out of anyone from last week’s race. His gate speed should make him a threat once again. (5) EXOTIC SAND showed a bit more last week when in a better position. He could be the one to find himself in the pocket if gate speed is used. (7) TELLIT RUSS TELLIT has looked pretty good for a horse who only raced three times in 2025, and previously had a layoff of over a year. It’s rare to see this barn fire a bad effort.
Race 3: OPEN.
(5) USAIN HANOVER produced a big first over rush last week to get himself into contention. He ultimately had to settle for fourth, but it was a strong move by a horse who appears to be sitting on a win in Open company. His familiar pilot is back in the bike, too. (3) NEW RULES was bet down to the favorite’s role last week after his sharp win two starts ago. He just got picked off in the late stages, but produced a strong mile on the lead. Extremely logical again this week. (2) HASTY BID sneaks up with a winning effort at the top level every now and then, and last week was another example. The leader had just enough taken out of his sails for him to capitalize. I can see him at least hitting the board.
Race 4: NW $6,100 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $13,800 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $1,740 P/S IN 2025-2026.
(2) GHOSTLY CASPER finally gets some post relief, and when you add a drop in class, it makes him awfully appealing in this spot. Borth should press the pedal early. (5) BELLA CAVALLA has turned into the ultimate grinder on the Mohawk grounds. She frequently keeps herself afloat much longer than many horses would. (8) NASEY was a solid third last week as the favorite. Look for him to use early speed off the car and potentially trip out.
Race 5: NW $15,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000. AE: NW $120,000 LIFETIME. AE: N/A $2,600 P/S IN 2025-2026.
(7) DEALIN WITH DEWEY got a trip around the track in his latest when shipping up from Saratoga. If he steps forward on the drop in class, he can get the job done. (3) QUEBEC HANOVER is another class dropper who should show a little more with his regular pilot in the bike. He has good tactical speed. (9) MANOAH has stepped up the class ladder successfully but will have to navigate an outside draw. It didn’t stop him two starts ago.
Race 6: NW $1,885 LAST 4 OR $2,550 LAST 5 STARTS (W/O $7,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $700 P/S IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS).
(8) MAJOR FERNCO N gets another drop in class after a failed speed try last time. I’ll try him again from the high draw. (7) MIKI RAY is usually a check getter from off the pace. I can see him passing some tired horses and potentially adding some value to exotics. (2) LAKERS BANK has down the road potential, but could also be sharp off a helmet if he gets away well enough. He has shown the ability to do so.
Race 7: CLAIMING HANDICAP $8,000 TO $11,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. ENTER IN MULTIPLES OF $1,000.
(4) ALWAYS B SWEETEST was a sharp winner last week at a double digit price. He has versatility that comes in extremely handy when he is in top form. (8) LETS GET PICKLED continues his streak of sharp finishes. Posts haven’t been an issue, and I don’t anticipate that being a problem tonight. (1) ARAGONITE drops back to the 8K claiming ranks where he has found success in the past. Louis Roy gets the call and could allow him to rebound.
Race 8: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $6,450 LAST 4 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(4) MAINTENANCE MAN faded back to fourth after a speed try from a wide post at Flamboro. McNair gets the call tonight and could get a bit more out of him on the front. (1) HES SWIFT had no line to be announced after Flamboro cancelled the other night. He has struggled to stay right in recent months, but when he is sound, he can win. (2) BETTORHOLDONTIGHT had no chance last week when getting away towards the back. He can get himself into contention with a middle move, but will need to work out a trip.

Race 9: NW $6,100 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $13,800 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $1,740 P/S IN 2025-2026.
I’ll take my chances that this is the week of (1) SPARTAN GENERAL after last week’s race that was purely a tightener. He is a risk no matter which way you slice it. (3) CAPTAIN WANIA has enough gate speed to get him into a stalking spot, but hasn’t finished since returning from the layoff. (5) LIKE CHAOS was unleashed on the front end last week and ended up winning by a dozen. He steps up, but can get a piece.
Race 10: HORSES & GELDINGS CLAIMING $8,000 FOR NW $6,450 LAST 4 STARTS. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE.
(2) TOUR CHAMPION raced very well from post nine in his latest, especially when you consider he had been off since last May, and that was his only start in 2025. He doesn’t have the consistent schedule like some others, but a step forward could see him get the job done. (4) RAYS KREDIT is another who always puts himself in contention, but frequently comes up just a little bit short. He will take money again. (9) KJ OWEN backed up last week’s upset win with a fine fourth place finish. If he finds a helmet to follow, he can get a piece.
