(4) JK BLACK GOLD got a sharp tow into the race last week and was able to repeat. I’ll look for him to keep it going. (6) UNCLE SHANK A likely tries another forward move from this post but has been unable to finish in three straight starts. (5) HELLUVA N is one of a few closer types who will be battling for the right setup. I’ll use him underneath tonight.

Race 2: METRO PACE ELIMINATION: 2 YEAR OLD OPEN. STARTING FEE: $6,000 CDN $4,650 USD.

(5) SHALOM HANOVER took down Starstruck Dreamer in their highly anticipated meeting at Pocono to remain perfect. He should cruise again. (4) CATTLETRACKS posted his best effort to date in his latest and is continuing to get better. (1) TH THEO pulled off an upset in the latest Gold and will likely look to set up another forward trip.

Race 3: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $53,000 (OS $72,000) LIFETIME.

(2) I LOVE THIS BAR eventually squeezed through up the inside but others had momentum. I think he’s sitting on a win. (7) SECRET SOCIETY just missed after a game speed try in his latest. His form has been extremely sharp since the claim. (4) ASSISTANT COACH has some serious turn of foot but has been rough gaited at the back in each of his last two outings. I’m not quite sure what to make of him yet.

Race 4: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(5) EXACTLY CORRECT picked off the aforementioned Secret Society last week and has won three of his last four. The slip up at Kawartha did nothing to stop his form. (7) BARRACUDA HANOVER is usually right there regardless of trip and will likely be an overlay given the presence of the favorite. (1) RYDER ROSS might need one after the qualifier before he gets back to reasonable form.

Race 5: 2 & 3 YEAR OLDS NW 2 RACES OR $22,000 LIFETIME. AE: 4 YO N/A $1,670 P/S IN 2026.

(5) D A ALLJOKESASIDE towers over these if he brings the same punch from his latest. Post draw is also in his favor. (4) D A BODACIOUS made an extended first over move and actually took the lead near the top of the stretch. He has enough of a burst to get himself a big piece. (3) CAR WASH BLUES has been sharp in his last two efforts and managed to pull off a big upset in his latest. J-Mac gets along nicely with him.

Race 6: NW $13,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $24,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: NW 8 RACES OR $100,000 LIFETIME.

(4) D A LETS BOOGIE was racing between horses late in the mile and had a nice burst on the end of it. He doesn’t have the back class of others but another quality effort could allow him to pop at a price. (8) SOS SPORTS BET could benefit from a forward trip against some horses that typically like to work from off a helmet. (2) ALLSTAR MANIAC is one of them, but he was unleashed on the front last week through big fractions and faltered late. I think he’ll try different tactics tonight.

Race 7: METRO PACE ELIMINATION: 2 YEAR OLD OPEN. STARTING FEE: $6,000 CDN $4,650 USD.

Another likely walkover here as (5) EASTIE BOY, the full brother to Louprint, showed he can hang with the likes of Shalom Hanover in that race at Pocono. He should handle these. (3) BIG D ENERGY has shown he can really get in gear in the back half of the race and could pressure Eastie Boy if the race turns into a final quarter sprint. (2) MASCARPONE gets a major post switch but hasn’t quite been as sharp as the top two this season.

Race 8: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,300 IN 2025-2026.

(2) MAJOR PERRY N actually looks like he can work out a trip when dropping to this level unlike the last two times. Perhaps he makes a quarter move if he gets away close enough. (3) STONEBRIDGE HELIOS gets major post relief and reunites with Dexter Dunn who could gives him an aggressive steer. (10) R J RINGO was a strong second in his latest and likely gets an edge on many rivals if he shows early speed.

Race 9: OPEN.

(6) ERVIN HANOVER fell short in the Canadian Pacing Derby but I’ll count on him getting back to form tonight against provincial company. (7) DALTON SHARD N was pacing extremely well once Borth moved him off a helmet and it looked like he was going to catch Crack Shot at one point. Another mile like that will have him in the mix. (2) AYEAYE CAPTAIN DEO also comes out of the Canadian Pacing Derby where he was purely overmatched. His turn of foot should allow him to close for a piece.

Race 10: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GRASSROOTS LEG 5. 3 YEAR OLD PACING COLTS & GELDINGS. STARTING FEE $400 CDN ($315 USD).

(7) WHOLETTHEDOGSOUT fits much better against Grassroots types and can pace away from these on his best day. (3) ODDS ON BULLFROG has been overmatched in recent weeks but his last try against Grassroots foes resulted in him scoring an open length win. He should do well tonight. (2) TILTHECOWSCOMEHOME has won three of his last five with all of those races coming against Grassroots rivals. He doesn’t have as much raw speed as the top two in my opinion.

Race 11: NW $2,500 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $9,500 LAST 8 STARTS. (W/O $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $1,515 P/S IN 2025-26.

Okay, fine. I’ll try one more time. (9) SNACK ATTACK makes his second start with a new pilot and was caught in a blind switch in a race where there was a ton of movement. A speed try could see him wake up. Same could be said for (8) LIVINTHEBEACHLIFE who has been pacing good miles, but is just overmatched at the moment. He fits much better at this level. (7) SCAMMER bounced back nicely from a failed speed try and could benefit if others bolt to the lead and falter late.

Race 12: NW $1,000 LAST 4 STARTS (W/O $7,500 LAST 8 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $800 P/S IN 2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: NW $75,000 IN 2025-2026.

(7) PAC MAN HANOVER was put in a tough spot after getting away towards the back of the field. I’ll look for him to be forwardly placed tonight and work out a trip. (8) SHOTGUN JERRY got away last and was never involved last week. He was very sharp two starts ago when forwardly placed. (4) SHADOW OF AN ANGEL is filled with quirks but could pose a threat to this group if he ever puts it all together.

Race 13: NW $6,000 LAST 4 STARTS OR NW $12,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,300 P/S IN 2025-2026.

(5) COLD CREEK QUESO gets a steep drop in class and should likely overpower these, assuming he is forwardly placed. (2) NUCLEAR finally draws a good post and has a strong enough turn of foot to set himself up for a stretch charge. (9) DRINKIN BUDDY tends to start his moves earlier in the race but can usually sustain them to the wire. I’ll use him underneath.
