(1) TH KAY C CRUNCH is sitting on a win after knocking at the door plenty. I would expect him to be moved to the front. (2) BACKUP PLAN got a losing trip last week but finds a softer overall field. The top two stand out. (9) SOUTHWIND JUDGE has been racing fine from off the pace and could find more speed on the big track. (8) IM A PAPI HANOVER just missed after a speed try. He could be first to the lead again. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 4. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING FILLIES. STARTING FEE $900 CDN ($700 USD). (3) FOXY AMEE gets another shot at the Gold level after two blowout wins against Grassroots types. She should be forwardly placed. (4) SPRITE SEELSTER has danced all the dances this year and is having an excellent season. (5) STORMONT BEAUTIFUL raced well against older horses last week. She will need to sustain her move. (2) ROXIE HART is not in the best form right now, but should have every chance to close and hit the ticket. Race 3: NW $9,800 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,825 P/S IN 2024-25. (6) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER could be set for a speed try with Roy back in the bike. A big mile could be in store. (3) CAPTAIN FEAR NOT has been pacing some big miles against tougher horses. He can contend with a trip. (1) SOUTHSIDE EDDY set blistering fractions but couldn’t finish the job. He should be another early pace presence. (7) R J RINGO has versatility which can get him into the race with any trip. Race 4: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $65,750 LIFETIME. AE: 4 YR OLDS & YOUNGER NW $16,500 IN 2025. (2) D A LOVE BOAT gets a big drop back to the level where his last win came. He needs to be forward to have a shot, but I think you get a square price. (6) FRANCO SANTANA N capitalized off a perfect pocket trip and went by. He didn’t get discouraged when the leader opened up before the stretch. He has a big chance again. (3) CAPTAIN HURLEY comes off a tough race to gauge because he wasn’t outsprinted, but he wasn’t making up ground. He might just be a colt who needs everything to go his way. (5) GRIN AND WIN has been coming up short regularly against Grassroots horses, but could easily sit a good trip again and sprint late to hit the board. Race 5: POP UP SERIES: HORSES & GELDINGS NW $50,000 IN 2025 (MIN 12 STARTS). AE: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $11,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS. (2) JK BLACK GOLD was unable to make up significant ground after wicked fractions were set ahead of him. He deserves another shot. (3) WANNABEABIGSTAR got a great setup in front of him and passed many in the stretch. He should have pace to chase again. (1) MYULTIMATE SNOWY A got outsprinted after making an outside move in his latest. He prefers the bigger track and should rebound. (7) GREATEST ENDING can step forward in his second start back. He has shown high speed in the past. Race 6: FILLIES & MARES, 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $73,000 LIFETIME. (4) ALWAYS DAWN was just even in the Adioo Volo, but was facing some nice fillies, and they really sprinted in the third quarter. I think she picks up where she left off here. (5) SUGAR PIE HONEY found her best stride late after a fast pace was set in front of her. A regular rotation should have her a step sharper. (1) WINDSUN CHARLOTTE was out of it at the start last week. Look for a better trip and rebound effort. (6) GENTRIFY got the job done at Georgian last week and could be part of the early mix this time around. She can hold on for a piece. Race 7: NW $3,000 LAST 5 STARTS (W/O $12,500 LAST 10 STARTS N/E). AE: NOT AVERAGING $1,275 PER START IN 2025 (MIN 5 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. (4) GOOBER SMACK should be forwardly placed off the drop in class. He can win with that trip. (3) WATERFALL could capitalize on the early speed if his latest didn’t take too much out of him. (5) MISTER MAGIC has grinded out two straight wins at this level. He is a logical choice. (10) LIKE CHAOS was an easy winner when adding Lasix, but draws wide. Richardson may blast anyway. Race 8: F&M, NW $3,000 L5 (W/O $12,500 L10 STARTS N/E). AE: N/A $900 P/S IN 2025 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $20,000. AE: NW $13,500 IN 2025 (MIN 7 STARTS). (10) CORA CORA CORA was an easy winner in her latest when making a first over move. The post will only inflate her price. (7) GIMMIE A CORONA was a solid second behind my top pick and now races off the claim for a barn that could get more out of her. (2) CARSONS GOUDA takes a sizable drop in class. She has the speed to go with these. (6) MYSTIC WILD ROSE is up against it from the start with her style. Things could fall apart, but closers haven’t been succeeding lately. Race 9: NW $17,500 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $34,000 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $70,000. AE: NW 4 RACES IN 2025. (3) HEAD HONCHO has the versatility that others here don’t seem to right now. You know he will be in contention turning for home, and he should offer a solid price again. (6) BLUE HUNT produced his usual tri-monthly sub-1:49 win after a forward trip. When he gets good, you have to keep using him on tickets. (4) WRITE ME A ROSE was odds on with McNair back in the bike, but got picked off after a blazing three quarters. He will be forward again. (5) CENTURY KOMODO needs a different trip if he wants to win. Everyone can pace home in :26 and change, which usually lends him to finishing underneath. AE: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $11,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. LEG 2. AE: LEG 1 STARTERS. (6) UNCLE SHANK A drops into this Pop Up after a solid win. He gets away from some classy rivals and can repeat. (4) BOLD SPIRIT pulled off the slight upset in his latest and is in great form right now. (5) BATTERUP HANOVER faded back to fifth after a first over trip as the favorite. He should fare better off a helmet. (10) BEYOND BETTER pulled off the upset in leg one after swooping the field. He will likely get away towards the back and try that move again. Race 11: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,600 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: OPT. CLM. $30,000. AE: N/A $1,690 P/S IN 2024 OR 2025. AE: NW $11,000 IN 2025. (2) WESTERN WISH should have every chance to take this overflow field down the road off the drop in class. Many could be left chasing. (8) COZ IM SPECIAL should be another forward pace presence off the drop in class. Her staying power makes her a top contender. (11) POWDER PLAY has a better chance of sticking around after two moves than others here. She could follow some early inside speed and work off a helmet. (5) BLINDED BY DELIGHT was refunded after an early break. She has torched money in the recent past, but can close for a piece. (1) ALLSMOKEANDMIRRORS will likely be farther back when turning for home, but can easily circle rivals and land somewhere on this Mandatory Payout Hi-5 ticket.
