Race 1: ONTARIO SIRED 3 YEAR OLD GRASSROOT STARTERS IN 2020. **GTD $75,000 Pick 5**

(3) BEACH DEMON beat easier here last week, but he set solid splits and drew away while pacing a fast mile and he may be up to facing tougher now. (4) WIND BLOWN has shown improvement the past three races and he is worth a look for the Pick 5 in this spot. (2) NATIONAL SPORT could get a much better trip here following a helmet and he is another possibility to kick off the early Pick 5. (8) ILLBEWATCHINGU has been finishing his miles well lately and he could round out the Tri or Super here.

Race 2: FILLIES & MARES 2 PREFERRED HANDICAP

(8) TREACHEROUS REIGN was picked off very late in the mile by a rival who enjoyed a great trip and never left the pylons the entire mile. She gets the nod here because I'm not sure that rival (7) SO MUCH MORE can work out the same trip. The latter has an explosive kick on her best day, and she is the obvious danger. (5) SEASWIFT JOY N is razor-sharp and an upset by her isn't out of the question here. (6) KENDALL SEELSTER is usually in the mix at this level; using on the bottom.

Race 3: NW $12,000 L5 or $24,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000

(2) ROCKIN N TALKIN comes off a sharp effort where he was closing well in a sub-1:50 mile. He should lay closer starting from the inside and he should be tough to hold off in this spot. (3) TORRIN HANOVER should be forwardly placed getting his nose back on the gate here and he is the main danger. (5) ROCKIN IN HEAVEN is another that should improve getting away from the 10-hole; using underneath. (8) POINTS NORTH fits this class well but from an outer post I prefer to use him on the bottom.

Race 4: NW $12,000 L5 or $24,500 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000 - Pick 4

(7) TYGA HANOVER drops a few class levels here and assuming all is okay after being tangled up last week, he should be tough likely racing on the engine. (10) DREAMFAIR MOXY was in a bad spot last week and he had no chance of rallying. I'll use him in this Exacta hoping to add some value as he could get a better trip here. (9) MAJOR HILL steps up one level off a dominant win, but from post 9 he is likely best used underneath. (1) SIR PUGSLEY can pass a few of these late and land in the Super.

Race 5: NW $8,300 L5 or $16,000 L10

(9) FOOT SOLDIER typically drops to the back anyway, so post 9 shouldn't make much of a difference for him. If he repeats last week's effort vs. better, he likely rolls by these in the lane. (5) WINDSUN RICKY made a couple of moves last week in a decent effort and he will pop soon; maybe tonight? (8) POINTOMYGRANSON fits better here and he is a good one to use in the exotics at what should be a square price. (1) ICY BLUE SCOOTER should work out another good trip here and snag a slice.

Race 6: NW3 (F&M5) or $40,000 (F&M $50,000) - Pick 5

(7) NYLANDER returns home to the Steacy barn to face much easier and he should be tough in here if he stays flat. (5) COMBS HANOVER is another coming off a break in stride but his sharp effort two starts back puts him right there if he behaves; using. (3) KUIL DEVA is always a good one to use in Tris and Supers as she rarely misses the top four. (1) TYMAL HOUDINI was dead game last week when beating easier and he should contend for a share off that nice effort.

Race 7: 5YO and Younger NW3 or $50,000 LT

(5) NIGHT WATCHMAN figures to be sent forward leaving the gate this time and that gives him an opportunity to carve out a nice trip racing near the front; top call. (2) DELIGHTFUL TERROR comes off a very sharp win in fast time, but he seems to save his best races for stakes action; demand a price. (8) RHYTHM IN MOTION was a strong second to one of the best local sophomore colts and he is another obvious contender in a race that will come down to intent and trip. (3) SUNDOWN KID has been racing well for a while and he is one who will likely sit a good trip and stick around for a slice.

Race 8: PREFERRED HANDICAP - Pick 4

(7) SINTRA should be better here returning to a 7-day cycle and he gets the nod. (10) THE DOWNTOWN BUS is going to wake up one of these weeks and blow up the tote board. Making his third start back, this could be the time. (4) ROCKME ROLLME inherited a win when Best In Show veered left causing confusion and he rolled by all of it. That was still a good mile and he can share here. (9) EVENWOOD SONOFAGUN is one of the best aged pacers on the grounds, but from out there I'll be using him on the bottom.

Race 9: 5YO and Younger NW6 or $75,000 LT

(5) BEACH BLANKET BOOK lands in a good spot here and he should be awfully tough to chase down. (8) MAYHEM HANOVER is in solid form and he can be an Exacta factor in this spot where he figures to blast off the gate to get position. (2) GENERAL JOY A is another that figures to sit a good following trip and hang around to take a share. (7) YS MATHIS shows two wins in 1:51 flat recently but his best efforts come in Grassroots races so I wouldn't take a short price here.

Race 10: NW $16,000 L5 or $33,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM or NW $120,000 LT $45,000

(6) PRETTY HANDSOME was impressive racing first up and winning last Monday at Grand River in the middle of a torrential downpour and he should offer a good price here; slight nod. (3) EAST END missed the confusion that caused an accident and rolled up for 2nd last week and he fits here. He should be a factor. (1) IWONTDOTHATAGAIN also avoided the accident last week and glided home third. He fits here and I'll use him on late multi-race tickets. (2) SPORTSLINE stacks up well here so long as he is sharp enough after missing a week.

Race 11: 4YO and Younger NW2 or $32,500 LT

(9) GOING FAST took heavy action at the windows last week then made several moves to win from this post. He can repeat with the same effort. (7) SUNSHINE LIST understandably tired after being used hard early last time. Look for him to be flying late in this spot. (5) SIDDHARTHA needs a setup, but he isn't impossible in this spot. (2) LOTTERY WINNER should get a better trip here racing near the front and stick around for a share. (1) LETS GET PICKLED is a good one to use on the bottom of the Super and High-5 at a price.
