Race 1: NW $24,500 L5 AE: NW2 in L10 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5**
(3) POWERTRAIN gets Roy back in the bike for this and this duo produced a sub-1:49 winning mile two starts back; top call in a good opener to the Pick 5. (4) COLD CREEK QUESO dropped, popped, and somehow paid $6. The horse he beat that night races in a Pacing Derby elim tonight. He has a decent chance to repeat here. (2) SAULSBROOK VICTOR has recaptured his best form but I doubt he will be allowed a loose lead this time. I'll use him underneath. (7) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER is in great form and he can land in the Tri or Super.

Race 2: ETERNAL CAMNATION: 2YO FILLIES
(4) COLLUSION HANOVER produced a big late kick vs. Pass Line racing over a wet track and I'll take a shot with her at a price in a race that looks wide-open. (3) REIGNING JADE was at a tactical disadvantage in a short field last time and she would have needed to grow wings to catch the leader. She is in with a good chance here in a race that should have a more solid pace. (6) GENIE HANOVER figures to improve in this third start and she will probably be flying late; using. (8) ODDS ON PLATINUM has done little wrong so far but the widest post might be her undoing here. I'd demand a price.

Race 3: NASSAGAWEYA: 2 YO OPEN
(1) LEGENDARY HANOVER has lived up to his name so far and his 1:50-flat stamps him as the clear one to beat here. (6) REMEMBER THE ALAMO had broken equipment and no McNair last time so that line can be tossed out. He is a contender tonight. (8) CAPTAIN LUKE had a tightener in the slop here where he was picked off in the last stride. He gets Dunn back now and he is in the exotics mix. (9) WIKEPEDIA has a good late kick on his best day. He can sneak into the exotics.
Race 4: CANADIAN PACING DERBY ELIMINATION: 3 YO & OLDER - Pick 4
(1) ABUCKABETT HANOVER raced big in defeat in the Dan Patch now he lands in a spot where he can make a late move and capitalize on an expected fast pace; top call. (7) LINEDRIVE HANOVER got no breather in that race and he understandably tired. He will offer a good price off that line and he is in with a shot racing back on his home track. (9) TAURASI's effort in the McKee was good considering how dominant Bythemissal was; price look. Early season sensation (8) RUTHLESS HANOVER seems to have gone off form but it is possible that he can bounce back after getting three weeks off. Your call.
Race 5: 5YO and younger winners of 2 but not more than 4 or $45,000 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000
(2) BETTER BE BOLD was flying late but he was too far back to threaten winner Stockade Seelster who has already come back to race huge in a Grand Circuit race. He can get back om track here racing back on the big track. (1) WINMEBAK is on a roll right now and he is fast and dangerous. It would no surprise to see him take a fourth straight win here. (10) SAUBLE ACE comes to play every start and he picks up Miller tonight; price look for the multis. (3) MIDNIGHT NATION saves his best for Gold races. I'll play to beat him here.
Race 6: ETERNAL CAMNATION: 2 YO FILLIES - Pick 5
(8) CAVIART BELLE stands out here as the fastest filly in the race and she is the clear one to beat. (2) ITS A LOVE THING drifted out about eight paths in the last 1/16th of a mile last time and it cost her a win. I'd look for an equipment change on this filly. She's in with a shot here. (1) WICKED LEADER produced a nice kicker last time and she is worth a look at a price for the exotics. (7) ELODIE HANOVER comes off a nice win in the Whenuwishuponastar but this is a tougher spot and I'll play to beat her in this spot.
Race 7: PEACEFUL WAY FINAL: 2 YO FILLIES
(5) DRAWN IMPRESSION stepped into a Grand Circuit elim out of one winning maiden race and she went off at even money and jogged. Based on how easily she won both starts, I'll give her top call in this final. (1) WILLYS HOME RUN lost nothing in defeat last week in my opinion. She was simply too far back early which probably won’t be repeated here. She can be an Exacta factor. (2) TANDEM HANOVER was the other easy elim winner, but she will likely need a much faster kicker to fend off the choice here. (8) GRACEFUL DESIGN's sub-28 kickers make her interesting for the exotics.
Race 8: NASSAGAWEYA: 2YO OPEN
(9) FUNTIME BAYAMA got the screws tightened last week with the driver change to Sylvain Filion from his dad, and he won in fast time with plenty left in the tank. He is the clear one to beat here. (8) CAPTAINS QUARTERS looked a winner every step of his debut, the only question being when Jamieson would give him his head. He likely needs to drop at least two seconds here, but he might be up to it. (2) DO BETTER was no match for the choice last week. He is in the exotics mix here, though. (1) COWBOY CARGO is one of the better Jimmy Freight babies and he should be part of the Super here.
Race 9: CANADIAN PACING DERBY ELIMINATION: 3YO & OLDER - Pick 5
Great matchup here between (4) BYTHEMISSAL and (6) ALLYWAG HANOVER who both caught fire in their past two starts. I'll give the nod to the former who is fresher and looked invincible in those two wins. (2) WARRAWEE VITAL raced better last week and he might be the only one in here that has shown the kind of speed required to stay close to the top two. He can round out the Tri. (3) FOUREVER BOY couldn't catch up to the choice when trying to follow cover last time. He is likely a fringe player here.
Race 10: WILLIAM WELLWOOD MEMORIAL FINAL 2YO OPEN - Pick 4
(6) TCI extended his win streak to five in the elim for this and I saw nothing last week that suggests he will get that streak broken in this final. (7) AMAZING CATCH was the chalk in the other elim and he was driven passively with an eye on this final. He seems like the most likely upsetter and he should get a more aggressive drive here. (4) WINTER SOLDIER tripped out, angled out and sailed by the leaders late. I'm not sure he gets the same golden trio here; using underneath. (3) MARS HILL is three for four and has done nothing wrong, but I prefer to try to beat him out of the Exacta here and create some value.
Race 11: NASSAGAWEYA: 2YO OPEN
(1) TOTAL STRANGER sitting on (7) MIRAGE HANOVER's back last week while that rival was stealing a 58-flat middle 1/2 was not the recipe for success. Maybe he takes it to him this week and gets a different result. The latter has shown flashes of brilliance and he is the obvious one to beat at another short price. (6) BEST NIGHT EVER is capable of a big rally when he stays flat. He can round out the Tri if he behaves. (3) MIKI RAY is worth a look for the exotics getting Dunn in the bike tonight.

Race 12: Winners of 4 but not more than 6 or $80,000
(4) MOMENT IS HERE jogged vs. similar at this level two starts back and he should be tough to beat here. (3) MATAI LOUIS N is right there every week and tonight should be no different. (7) SOUTHSIDE EDDY comes off a nice win but he is unlikely to get the same trip or aggressive steer. I see him closing for a slice. (6) VERDUN has missed more than a month so this will likely be strictly a prep for an upcoming Gold race.
Race 13: NW $15,750 L5 AE: OPT CLM $65,000
(6) SHADOW IN RED gets off the rail and gets McNair I can see him blasting and getting a good trip racing on or near the front tonight; price play. (7) ROCKME ROLLME is another that should be leaving in a field that seems laden with stalking/closing types. He is another that has the potential to upset (10) NO FREE LUNCH dropped and popped and looked good doing it but he might need to pass them all from out there tonight. I'd demand a price here. (3) BEYOND BETTER won last time he drew inside. He is another that could wake up here. (1) HP MOMENTUM threw in a clunker when overbet last time now he should offer a big price. I see him closing for a small share.
