NO ALLOWANCES. (6) TICKET STATION was a strong winner on debut. Bulldog Hanover offspring have been taking strong steps forward early in their careers. (4) CALLSIGN ROOSTER raced well in his Mohawk debut but was ultimately left chasing after a rival blitzed him when racing to the three-quarter pole. He should get another good trip tonight. (8) EXACTLY CORRECT has shown solid late ability when racing from off the pace. He is continuing to improve with each start. (5) ARTILLERY SEELSTER may have been on his way to a win in his Mohawk debut but rolled offstride. That was not the first time he showed quirks; I’ll use him underneath tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: PREFERRED. (1) ERVIN HANOVER was excellent when returning to Mohawk and got the job done after having to swing three wide. I’ll give him the call to repeat tonight. (2) BRUE HANOVER is a clear top contender at this level and just missed by a head with a new pilot in the bike. Plante should be getting to the lead at some point. (3) DUBLIN DASHER was racing between horses and was making up ground on the top two late. He could sneak into a stalking spot in this short field. (5) TAURASI has been racing well after some close trips and could take these down on his best day. Although, he was outsprinted last week and is one I’ll put underneath. Race 3: FILLIES & MARES, NW $9,000 LAST 5 STARTS OR NW $23,750 LAST 10 STARTS. AE: N/A $2,725 P/S IN 2024-25. AE: OPT. CLM. $50,000. (4) MADRID A has held off rivals in two straight starts after front-end efforts. McNair gives her the nod; He has driven her perfectly given the track profile as of late. (5) ONE MORE BET was put in a perfect spot last week and vaulted past everyone to get her first win of the season. She gets her nose on the gate tonight and deserves some respect off that mile. (6) ROCKNROLL ANNIE is mostly an underneath type, but drops back down to face off against Madrid again. She could work out a good trip from this post. (2) ONE LAST WISH gets another drop in class and makes some sense if you think she gets driven more aggressively. She has been picking up the pieces when racing from off the pace. Race 4: FILLIES & MARES PREFERRED. Well, last week’s edition of this race was exciting, wasn’t it? (3) STYLE FOR A MILE was flying in the final sixteenth and just missed swooping the field. She doesn’t need to race like that again this week, but it should have her even tighter coming into tonight. (4) CAVIAR N CRACKERS didn’t lose much in defeat because she did all the dirty work first over. She is a mare you can’t leave off tickets. (6) IN THE SPOTLIGHT N got to the front and held off everyone despite all of the chaos happening behind her. She continues to stay in top form. (2) TELLS ON A ROLL has been hit or miss at the class below this. She can sit an inside trip and grab a share. Race 5: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 3 RACES OR $67,000 LIFETIME. AE: 4 YR OLDS NW $16,500 IN 2025. (9) D A LOVE BOAT tried a brush to the front when things slowed going to the half, but was caught outside and dueled with the 1-9 favorite through a :26.1 third quarter; That was an extremely tough trip. Look for him to be activated early from this post and rebound. (6) CENTURY LUCIFER didn’t show much last month after returning from a sharp qualifier. He gets a chance to redeem himself. (2) SILVERWALLS got the job done two starts ago after sitting a perfect trip. He may have to work first over tonight, which could leave him a step short in the final steps. (7) SOS SPORTS BET has only missed the board once this year and tends to do his best work when up close. If the outside horses don’t leave, he could be first to the front. Race 6: POP UP SERIES: H&G NW $50,000 IN 2025 (MIN 12 STARTS). AE: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $11,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. LEG 3. AE: LEG 1 & 2 STARTERS. (2) UNCLE SHANK A dropped and popped as the favorite last week. He should not be pressured that hard to get a good trip, and will be in contention for the sprint home. (6) COLD CREEK QUESO had a tough trip in his latest. An aggressive steer could be in the cards with the short field. (5) JK BLACK GOLD has been the beaten favorite in the first two legs of this series. He is another who could trip out here. (4) WANNABEABIGSTAR has been sharp when racing from off the pace and could take advantage if things get western up front. Race 7: NW $9,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: NW 6 RACES LIFETIME. AE: N/A $2,525 P/S IN 2024 OR 2025. AE: NW $65,000 IN 2025. (2) HIGHLANDBEACHLOVER looked primed for a speed try last week and did just that en route to a strong win. Despite drifting in the stretch, he was still moving forward and won by a few lengths. I’ll give him the nod to repeat. (7) ORDER ONE TO GO has been sharp in the optional 50K claiming level and is one of a few horses who has actually been able to make up ground from off the pace. Pitch the last line and give him another chance. (4) NAZARE gets another drop in class after a solid fourth against classy horses. The post draw gives him options off the car. (3) CONTROL ROCKS gets a major class test against older horses. He has shown the speed to go with them, but is one I’ll side against. Race 8: 3 YEAR OLD FILLIES: GRASSROOTS STARTERS. (2) ALL MY WISHES comes off an easy win at Dresden. She has enough gate speed to get a decent position off the car, and she could end up the beneficiary of all the early speed outside of her. (7) MACAPELO SEELSTER was another easy winner last week and could get plenty of front end respect. I would expect her to go off as a decent favorite. (5) SIMPLY THE BEST gets post relief this week and should be on the move early. Plante gets plenty out of horses on the front. (6) FOREVERAFTERALL had something go amiss in her latest. A conservative steer may be in the cards tonight. Race 9: POP UP SERIES: H&G NW $50,000 IN 2025 (MIN 12 STARTS). AE: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $11,000 OR LESS IN LAST START. LEG 3. AE: LEG 1 & 2 STARTERS. (2) BOLD SPIRIT was a major question mark about a month ago, but has since entered top form. His last race was just as sharp in defeat, and he finds the weaker of the two Pop-Up divisions tonight. (4) THUNDER COUNTRY gets major post relief tonight and should be much closer to the action. (5) DELIGHTFUL LEADER could easily be the first to the lead in this short field and can hit the board tonight. (6) CONTROL THE POWER is likely to race from last, but has strong late ability. He can close for a piece. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: FILLIES & MARES, NW $6,000 LAST 5 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,410 P/S IN 2024 OR 2025. (6) LADYTERRA has been doing decent work from off the pace, but getting Borth in the bike could allow for different tactics. She gets my nod against other class droppers. (1) YODA QUEEN got a slick steer from Doug McNair two starts ago. She had no chance last week in the Hi-5 mandatory payout race when getting away last. McNair gives her the nod tonight and should put her in play again. (3) SETTN A PRECEDENT got a confidence boosting win at the shortest of prices last week. She can get another forward trip and hit the board. (4) WESTERN WISH got a speed try when dropping in class but came up completely empty. Her form is going the wrong direction; She can grab a share tonight. Race 11: 5 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 RACES OR $30,000 (OS $42,250) LIFETIME. AE: 4 YR OLDS N/A $1,360 P/S IN 2024-25. (6) BRUNO NO NO NO was an improved second place finisher when competing against Grassroots foes. He has decent grinding ability, but needs to sustain it. He can work out a trip here at a square price. (4) SMILING DANCER was racing well before the sick scratches. His return qualifier was a sharp win, but he may need one or two starts before winning form finds him. (7) BACKUP PLAN is going in the wrong direction after catching the eye in his first few career starts. Money will find him again despite the break last week. (5) BETTERDEALMEIN will be passing horses late and can hit the ticket at a price. (2) TROOPER HANOVER got the job done last week but now steps up. He will need more to contend, but he could sneak onto the end of tonight’s Hi-5 ticket.
